Guitarist/Bassist of /b/ thread?
What new gear do you want? What new gear do you have? What gear do you hate? Favorite genre to play, etc.

I'm getting a memestang bass soon, and I can't wait for it.
>>
Been saving up for a tele like this, tho it's a pretty hefty price tag.
>>

What do you think is better for most bass players high action or low action
>also trying by a cheap bass what brand do you guys recommend? $200 budget
>>
>>718529364
200 is pretty low mayne, try to find a used squire, not affinity though. I personally like reallylow action, like right above to wear the fret buzz happens. Easier to move around that way.

Girlfriend got me an Epiphone Dot Studio for Christmas, not actually played in 5 years but was certainly thankful for it. I wanted that model all those years ago to play more folky songs. Before that I just had a Stagg Warlock thing
>>
>>718530215
itd be good. I'd recommend one of these two if you like fender (squire) both are absolutely amazing quality.

Works pretty well for me. Easy as to tune but can only tune it in standard tuning really
>>
I once had 2 Jackson roads. One white and gold and the other was black and white, an Ibanez 8 sting and a Jackson 7 with a 5150 head and a Randall cab but I ran into some money problems so now all I have left is a random guitar from the 60s

Also a p bass into a bassman.

Have you tried different gauge tuning? it'd help if you want to go to different tuning for things like blues or anything like that.

It likes to buy on anything past the 13th fret. It's a bit warped from being in storage for so long but at least I can rehydrate it, I'm just lazy. It pretty much looks like a Gibson hummingbird. I'll post pics of you want

Also I'm looking at buying a pic related, Schecter diamond P plus, can anyone recommend or talk me out of it?

Fender MIA Jazz Bass
Fender MIM P-Bass
>>
>>718532090
Shit nothing in the foreseeable future but if I could have something right now, I'd get a dimebag Washburn. No ideal model names bit would love to have one. Pics coming soon, hanging out with people
>>
>>718531359
Not with that set up, we're all to busy to jam any more with that band. I use all the gear, plus some other gear in other bands regularly. One just acoustic + electric cover band in pub corner, the other a hip-hip/indie rock kinda deal.
>>
>>718532258
Hip-hop*
>>
>>718532130
Save a bit longer and find a used stingray imo. Won't be quite as thumpy with the p pups but you can throw on flats if needed and rays sit well in every mix.

Still, it is a <1000 s. Korea made bass with a big ol MM pup.
>>
>>718531674
Nah like i said im so new to it. Should i buy a different tuner?
>>
>>718531435
Looks like it would sound sweet as fuck
>>
>>718532374
The tuners should be fine imo. Just try out different tunings then E. E is great and my favorite but a lot are good. Also fun to create your own tuning.

Why are Les Pauls always so fuckin heavy?
