I watched a documentary which talked about Cicadas. It was damn interesting.

They have a very strange life cycle. Something like 13 years or so. They live underground and then all of a sudden they all come up at once. Funny thing is, they provide necessary food for all the other insects and animals. It's like a food frenzy for everything else. The Cicadas themselves are pretty harmless.

Anyone trying to solve these puzzles.. have you found any connections between the puzzles and the Cicadas themselves? Seems like a realistic place to research a bit anyway.

But to look deeper into that theory. Cicadas don't live in caves, though they do live and dig underground. So my guess is maybe whatever it is you are seeking is not found in a natural cave, but one that has been dug out, much like the Cicadas do.
