Pascal's Wager states that it's smarter to bet that there is a God because if you are wrong, the consequences are not as dire as having incorrectly bet that there is no God.
Math has conclusively proven that God exists, so why do you foolishly choose disbelief?
You are a very sad, and somewhat frightening individual. I hope you don't possess weapons.
Math doesn't conclusively prove that God exists, it is just suggested that believing in God is a more efficient position for someone to take.
However, if the only reason why you "believe in God" is because it is a "safer option," then I'm not entirely sure that that would grant you access to heaven. Aren't you supposed to genuinely believe in him?
In any case, there are plenty of other religions / deities / belief systems, so in reality, mathematically speaking, the probability of you selecting the "correct" religion is highly unlikely.
I suggest you operate in a way that maximizes your ability to achieve any goals you deem worthwhile before your time on this world is over.
GUESS WHO'S BACK!!!!!
> devote life to god
> god doesn't exist
> lose the one shot you had at existence and leaving something meaningfully yours
> not infinite loss
Pascal's Wager doesn't correctly identify the stakes of the game
If there is conclusive, verifiable proof, then provide it.
And Pascals Wager states that it is smarter to be either agnostic or atheist.
My argument is clearly invalid. I have no choice but to believe
I always tell myself I'll accept God on my deathbed if I feel like it.
I mean, he has forgiven murderers and rapists and pedos. Surely he'll forgive a simple fool.
Fucking Christfags are so fucking retarded I swear to Godlessness.
The main problem with Pascal's wager is that it suffers from the fallacy of bifurcation. It only calculates with two options when there are, in fact, at least four alternatives: The christian God and afterlife, some other god and afterlife, atheism with afterlife, and atheism without afterlife. Therefore Pascal's wager is invalid as an argument.
>people born thousands of years before Christ are condemned to hell simply because they weren't Christian
>people born disconnected from the world are condemned to hell simply because they aren't aware of Christianity's existence
Christians explain yourselves.
I choose disbelief because watermelons are more water than humans, so why would God choose to make watermelons more water than humans are when humans are the best life on Earth??
God made watermelons more water than humans so that niggers have a way of attaining something remotely human that's a bit better than a human so they can feel good about themselves. God is all-loving in that way. Checkm8 atheists.
I read an article the other day on BBC that made me think there had to be a god. They stated that we have to be in a simulation because of how ordered the universe is in it's nature.
Something made the universe we live in, but it can't be god, it was other people. WTF
The Never Ending Story
That's the "Childlike Emperess" but I forget why she was important. Haven't seen it since the 80's but I'm pretty sure she had fuck-all to do with religious arguments.
Because, this generation thinks they are the end all be all, and can't bring themselves to believe in something greater than themselves. all due to some faggot somewhere thinking it was edgy to be a atheist. But yet whenever their lives are threatened it's" oh my god". You never hear " oh my nothingness " or " oh my spaghetti monster tentacles in the sky!"
Why? because they know it's bullshit, but it's better to play the edgemaster instead of a believer. Because they read so on the internet. That and it gives you a opening to be complete and utter douche bag to everyone and everything. With no moral code to keep you in check, you end up with low tier closet case faggots on 4chan wanting to fuck a cat, or fap to some fucking guy wearing a dress.
Because faggots need excuse to do faggot things without worrying about being wrong in the eyes of a god.
It's all for the cock.
what about Christian God with no afterlife?
