He was in palliative care at the hospital. He really really wanted to go there, I'm thinking he knew he was gonna die, and didn't want to go when he was still at home, or it would've made shit even worse.

Paramedics picked him up on the 5th at around noon, we went along and stayed a couple hours until he was tired from the drug cocktail they gave him.

He died the same day in the evening. I'll never forget that fucking phone call.

When my granny passed away, the drama were similar, but she died of internal infection because of inner kidneys that weren't working anymore and her inner bladder walls ruptured inside. The doctors discovered on the last moment that she would die, but we still miss her, and it's been 7 years since.
