See, the thing about Pink Floyd is that they're WAY too inconsistent to be called 'greatest' anything. The run in the 70s from Atom Heart Mother to Animals is pretty unassailable. Beforehand it has its charm I guess, but 60s psychedelia is a bit hippyish for my taste - and as many have said, The Wall was the beginning of the end into meaningless easy-listening slop.

The Beatles are OK I guess. I find their history and personalities slightly more interesting than the music, slightly. It's decent stuff for sure, but not the second coming like some folks make out..
