dell bought out alienware years ago because the brand was beginning to give them ALOT of competition
the reason alienware products were expensive even though they were far from god-tier is because you were also buying the lifetime warranty that went with all their laptops, basically as long as it was covered under the warranty you could get a brand new replacement for your laptop no matter how much time had passed, that is the whole reason alienware became popular, not because of their specs, but because they were the ONLY ones to have a warranty like that and it made them extremely well worth the money.
once alienware got bought out by dell they simply got rid of the warranty but kept the prices knowing they would reel in the cash easy thanks to all the fags that would buy alienware thanks to all the hype the previous owners had started

I have the alienware 13x R2, best laptop I ever experienced.

Needed something for gaming and school and since I didnt want to split the budget I went for a gaming laptop.

Its a beast and because its only 13 inch its compact for school, at home just plug it into monitor and its ready for gaming.

Oh and went with alieware because you can customize what goes in it so I upgraded some stuff, and because of the look and colour customizability alienware offers.

Dont mind paying a bit extra for having a sick looking laptop.

I have 3 alienwares, one from 8 years ago, one from 5 years ago and one from 1 month ago and they all still run perfect and perform really decent for their age, the 5 year old can still run todays games. At much lower settings ofcourse.

But yeah from my alienware experience (in regard to laptops ofcourse, desktops will always be better) they are great because they can be updated with new ram and ssd and even some other hardware if you know what youre doing, so they can keep up with the progress of technology without having to buy a new laptop.
