I find it fascinating when countries who lack the social, political, racial and religious diversity of the US attempt to apply their homogeneous outlook to American life, as though the solution that works for their one-race, one-religion, one-culture country with 1/100th the population and 1/50th the land mass could possibly apply here. Let alone allow the tumescent development and unprecedented survival of the world's last remaining world-dominating superpower and greatest nation the world has ever seen.
>>704983161 Except that in our empire we've done the fuck away with freedom and settled into a monotonous routine of forced surveillance of everything from our porno to our piss where armed goons can put the boots to us and kill us in the streets for not kissing their boots nicely enough.
>>704983710 talking about Brittan? where everyone is on CCTV all the time? how about any random european country where posting opinions on your facebook page can get you arrested for racsim? or maybe russia/china/north korea where you can't even access the internet without jumping through hoops, and if you're caught you're thrown in jail or shot?
You ain't free either, and plenty of Americans just disappear followed by the posts about them disappearing disappearing and getting replaced with "hey someone else posted a cat picture, have you heard from Tim in a while, meh, he must have moved."
>>704983802 Not really. Maybe 10 or so. It's not really a unique thing to be able to say your opinions.. However in America you're not even allowed to call out when the government is doing something illegal... Ahum Snowden etc
Japan american peoples? lower average intelligence. too many niggers. the BLM looks scared. as a country? your policies are harmful to the world and everyone hates you for it, and locally you have many degeneracy
>>704984833 Yeah people bandy around "free speech" then at some point (probably in the middle of a war we used to scoop up rights, a long fucking time ago) we decided the goverment could make certain things we say a crime and, much as the people who wrote the first amendment have feared, the government has expanded that power indefinitely.
>>704984833 Go to Germany and extend your right arm at full length in public or any bar/resturant Tell me how that goes for you
>snowden We have had whistle blower protection since the 70's. Snowden didnt whisteblow,he took data he was not cleared to view(governments fault) and stole copies of it.Thats a different case.He didnt say "hey they are doing illegal things, this is what i know about, let do something about it",he went and full on stole top secret government documents.
I believe snowden is a patriot and deserves a full pardon.
>>704985277 There just isn't a country where everyone is terrible. Sooner or later if you put enough humans in the same place one human or another is going to have a strategy of being nice to others because it works.
I'm from America and yeah, a ton of people here are assholes. I'm thinking about moving to Canada after college, they seem nice. And with the current election, it just shows how this country is going downhill.
>>704985328 The problem is that the justice department he could formally have brought his case to had developed a set of secret laws and courts to make sure that those cases never see the light of day for 100 years minimum. So technically he may very well have tried to find an official channel to go through only to discover we'd dissolved "official channels" of government whistleblowing and replaced them with leak stop systems.
Kinda like the ethics system at wells fargo that was designed to look like oversight but was really just a system to hire mid level employees and revoke their access before they lawyer up.
The US is a country that has its flaws just like all other countries, the largest being the incredibly undemocratic presidential voting system in tandem with the lobbying industry (the fact that there even is a lobbying INDUSTRY is insane) , the gun violence, immigration policies etc.
But you're good people I bet. Built by different-minded Europeans who wanted something new, and you sure got it. Capitalism being dismantled is great, with healthcare for all and higher taxes, the government taking over more of the public services is great.
However the government taking more control over what people get to say, limiting free speech and scaring people into silence is not a development that I enjoy, seeing as how it is fairly likely that this will be the path for most countries.
Go to Texas then. We got a Frito-Lay plant in El Paso. Sure you'll get interrupted a lot by hicks asking you questions about your home land, but nothing beats a fresh Cheeto of the line. Also try Corn Nuts. The smell won't leave your breath for a while, but it's so fucking worth it.
>>704985277 >Even though we're neighbours, our cultures are very different What culture? Top fucking kek you know your country doesn't have culture when the apex of its cultural achievement is a fucking donut shop.
Denmark I've only ever been to California. I liked it, but I heard from people it's the more European of the states. I was positively surprised by the beers - tons of microbreweries and the pale ale selection was especially dope in the californian summer. I'm not sure about other states though but I've never been there. I do like soul food and jazz so maybe I should try the southern parts at some point? There are many other countries I'd like to visit before that.
Regarding the American justice system and election process I feel like the entirety of northern Europe are shaking their heads...
And the censorship is rampant in the land of the free. Breasts are shown in commercials for breast cancer on buses here and on prime-time TV but I doubt that could happen in USA.
But it's pretty dope that we are so different. Many Americans were a lot more approachable than the Danish people. It's pretty funny though, how every one seemed to know their ancestry and felt like we were related if they had a great-great-grandparent from Holland.
>>704986356 >too fucking nice Lol, no. You elect Justin 'ballerina' Trudeau to run canada because of "muh legal weed and meth" or "muh legal zoophilia" and to push third wave feminism even more into the western world.
tl;dr: I don't consider drug addicts and horse fuckers to be "nice".
>>704987180 Do you think weed should be illegal? Do you think horses care if they're fucked or not? Do you think feminism shouldn't be a thing? Do you think everyone that isn't white should be kicked out of the us? Do you think mexicans are cockroaches?
Normal people with a shitty constitution and law system (election, gun laws, environmental laws, the failed war on drugs, etc) Shitty school system (wtf homeschooling??) Massive lobbyism (same problem here tho) >obesity seemed to be a problem for the few i have met >why so many softdrinks
Television propably only shows the backside of America so my opinion is not based
>>704989248 The only nations on the planet with more people are India and China, which are barely governed shitholes in most places and whose racism dwarfs anything in the US or Europe by a great deal.
The problem with our overwhelmingly large populations is that you only hear the loudest people. And as far as being racist goes, Europe is much worse, Americans are just more vocal about their prejudices.
>>704989403 The laws governing nazism and public display of such was in fact a demand from the allied after the second world war. Germany was forced, through military means, by the US to limit its speech.
Not that surprising since that's what you americans do, eh?
America has it's positive and negative sides. Sadly, the negatives outweighs the better sides in greater numbers than it would take bricks to build Donald Trump's walls.
Why? Because you loads of dumbfucks can't get it through your shit-caked skulls that you don't have to vote for ETIHER of the two retards grinning like niggers on foodstamp day from every fucking newspaper in your God-forsaken 50 mud puddles you call a country. Vote for a third party and be done with it.
Secondly, guns bring safety? What the shit? The second amendment was made when guns were rare as shit. Like, when it was common for rich to middle class people to carry around a single flint lock, not a semi-automatic holding 50 rounds apiece. Get your shit together, restrict guns, don't be asshats.
Police has one job and one job alone; keeping you safe. Sure, abusers are everywhere, but I bet my sorry crumpled ass 99% actually try making a positive difference. So if one cop shoots a seemingly unarmed person, that cop is not necessarily racist, biggoted or whatever else you choose to label them. They are trying to keep people safe and if someoen seems threatening, even jokingly, they, due to America's retarded gun policy, are rquired to choose their own safety and the safety of others before that dumbass. Sad thing is, even if there are mostly good cops, we only hear about the bad ones.
Which brings us to number 4: the media. Booooooy. Okay, this isn't only America by far, but boooooy. Get your shit together. Number of viewers being prioritized over actually interesting news? I don't give two shits about Brad Pitt and his titless ex-hugpillow. I didn't even hear about that convoy in Syria until I encountered it randomly one day on the internet. Seriously, What the fuck?
So yeah, there's a lot more, but hey, I'm getting tried of typing. America, you have a lot of good points, but I would NEVER wanna live there. EVER.
Canada Geographically, The United States is quite beautiful. More than half of the people living there are pretty chill, there's a sizable bit that love Trump that would be considered right wing extremists up here since the democrats align with our conservatives on most issues.
Personally our legal system is kinda fuckin retarded and our election process needs to be done away with but I've met a lot of Americans that aren't a fan of the government but still have strong patriotism for our country myself included. Love the land not how it's run.
your description of the US is fucking spot on. The fact that Hillary fucking clinton and Donald Trump is the main representatives, and most likely one of them will become president, just utterly disgusts me. is this what the "greatest" country in the world can offer? really? are these people really the best fuckers you could find ? i mean jesus, the absence of questioning/discussing actual political issues is just terrible.
New Harvard research actually confirms that 98% of the shit coming out of their mouths has nothing to do with the political issues your country ACTUALLY has do deal with, which means they only tell americans the shit they want to hear.
i feel bad for every fucker in the US, black, white, asian, mexican, indian ect, i would probably try to assasinate them both if i had to deal with these shitty campaings. Luckily for me, i live in the land of vikings.
This election year reminds me of that south park episode, where they have to choose a new school mascot, the options were a giant douche and a turd sandwich
you people are fat. even fat people are fatter than our fatties. just by chance you got a great constitution and have only derailed your country in 200 years as much as we did in 50. the english common law system way produce a bunch of junklaws but is with its system of trail by jury is just better by principal, at least if you are not a german, who by a weird collective brain defect think it's a better idea to have some appointed jurist to determin whether you are guilty and determin the sentence... which is just wrong but people don't ever give it even one thought. well it's better that you can choose to homeschool your kid than getting it taken mandatorily for hours of the day away to be schooled by some better babysitter. and so you see the diffence: mandatory school for at least 9 years of your life is in our constitution (or basic law) really, is that the place for it. + we had the draft until like 4 years ago. and then the pensioners man, you just can't cut their shit. unfeasible. and we are all fucked because people keep on shoveling everything on the federal level... at least in the US states matter still.
most germans will visit the states that most like germany, americans. new york and california. where personal matters is interfered with, germans are attracted to. >do never listen to a german. hilary clinton seems nomal for german eyes.
>>704985698 >>704991570 >it's that easy you children have no idea what immigration is actually like. There is no way you have the money or skills necessary to be accepted into Canadian citizenship. Your only real hope is that Trump is elected and they grant Americans asylum-seeking status because of his fuckups.
Seriously, even marrying a Canadian is not enough, the process is far more expensive and difficult than anyone realizes until they have personal experience with it.
>>704990151 Firstly, your superiority complex is very obvious, and I can almost assure you completely unjustified, as you yourself are likely nothing special. Secondly, you act as if people don't know they don't have to vote for either the democratic or republican nomination. They know they don't, most people just don't want to. Secondly, if we restrict guns on the general populace, the only people who will have guns are criminals. You know, the people who don't give a shit about laws and restrictions? Those people. Thirdly, to simplify the problem with police like that does it no justice. There are extremely high tensions between the people, especially minorities, and police at almost all times. These tensions are due to the fact that many police have committed what is, arguably, straight up murder and not been convicted. The high tensions then cause police to be nervous around people, people to not trust police, which will inevitably lead to violence. Fourthly, your point about the media makes no sense. You say "interesting news" as if what is interesting is completely objective, when it is certainly not. Also that sounds like a personal problem with what's being reported or not, because many stations simply don't cover celebrity drama and such, so maybe you should clear up your confirmation bias and stop looking at tabloid garbage, huh?
>>704983161 Truth. I recognize there are serious issues, but they don't change the fact that in terms of population vs standard of living vs global power vs diversity there isn't another country that comes even close to matching the USA. People bitch and moan about the brushfire wars that happen, but the last 70 years are an almost unprecedented era of peace on a global scale BECAUSE of the overwhelming might of the United States. Other countries can complain, but the next time a foreign ship comes into port they can be sure it isn't their piss poor to non existent navy that guards the sanctity of international trade.
>>704992277 you don't need a gun because we have farms now and, statistically, guns don't make you safer at all, quite the opposite.
Also, cops are shit. The entire force in the next city over got fired because they weren't allowed to use speeding traps to boost city funds any more. Obviously there needs to be some level of law enforcement, but we waste way too much money on incompetent assholes.
United States of America People are people, there are the good and the bad in every country around the world, sure attitudes of the entire populations can suck from time to time, but thats true for every one, society is like a bucket of shit with 40% nuggets of gold thrown in
>>704982993 My country: Sweden. What I think about Anericans: Good and kindhearted people, but often gullible, and ruled by a terrible government. Uses the word 'Freedom' incorrectly constantly despite turning more and more fascist for each year that goes by. Still among the greatest people on earth though, and awesome to drink with.
>>704989755 I'm not sure if you realize how pathetic that statement makes your country look. But do you mean to say you're a bitch who got beat up for being a cunt, or that the only reason you aren't all racist fucks is because someone else will bitch slap you if you do?
>>704992006 Oh, I understand that well. All the complaining millennials and whiny Hollywood elites who threaten to move to Canada if an election doesn't go their way would be shocked. As an American it's pathetic how my fellow citizens think they can just move to another country on a whim.
>>704990151 You cunts have a smaller population than New York. By like half. And you all look exactly the same. The US get more legal immigrants every year than you've gotten in the last few decades. Try multiplying your population by like fifty, diversifying (it's where you actually have variety, since you homogeneous fags probably don't know) and see how much shit you talk.
>>704986443 Wow, those are some powerful stats and if they hold up it's incredibly impressive how each person in the states does their civic duty and protects their fellow man. I wish the rest of the world learned from your example. Still, I do not think the idea of needing a license for even basic firearms is bad in all states - And that to earn it, you need to prove that you know what you're doing and have a clean bill of mental health. I mean, you have to take a drivers license - Why not have one for guns? No harm in that if it was cheap and quick to do.
>>704982993 I haved lived in the spring break capital of the world, panama city beach florida, all my life and have never seen any fat people, i am 23, 6'3 145 pounds. There are a bunch of niggers down here though....
