Until you get sent to the middle of the desert and forced to run missions on the ground you're not trained for and get killed. At least go army or marines so you'll have a fighting chance instead of being sent out the gate with a rifle you've never fired and vehicles you've never driven to get ambushed and slaughtered. Yes, this happens way more often than people know.
>>704772858 if you want to not be made fun of join Navy -> Hospital Corpsman as job -> Fleet Marine Force Corpsman. you'll get to be a Marine but with the added benefit of not having to cut your hair all the time, be less physically fit, and skate out of every company formation.
>>704774021 Hahaha look at this fucking basic training failure, probably from the national guard. That's what your DS told you in 2007 didn't they? Bet your RE code is 3 with a JGA (being too much of a fucking pussy) code for separation
>>704774163 Jesus fuck you've clearly never been on the ground in a war zone. Or had your COB attacked with RPG fire or any number of 1,000 other things. Keep trying to convince mammy and daddy you're Rambo when your fat faggot ass is walking from the TOC to Papa Johns and back.
>>704774212 meh I just want to do my time and plan on being done with that shit by the time I'm 22. infantry sounds like to much. All these anons telling me that air force is comfey is really making me think>>704773184 >>704773366 >>704773549
>>704774430 Aren't navyfags the ones that get stationed in other countries? Or am I wrong? >>704774488 A black guy fighting for the deutschland. That could work.
>>704772858 If you join the Navy you will get to travel the world. You will also be stuck on a ship in the middle of the ocean for 30+ days at a time with dudes and mega dykes. Go airforce bro. Shit is cushy
If you have shit to prove or just want the experience go for USMC or Army Rangers. If you're smart and want to get as much as you can out of enlistment, you can find lots of opportunities in any branch: look at the MOS, not the branch.
I've always thought it like this .. If I'm going to join then might as well try to be the best of that branch .. For example if your going to go to the navy then might as well and try going to bud/s and becoming a seal .. Or the air force try becoming a PJ .
P.S that's what I'm trying to do , I'm training my self for bud/s
>>704772858 Airfag here Currently tdy in San Antonio to run the selection core for cct/sowt Enjoying my nice tdy in a hotel, during the day I workout and crush dudes with pt until they quit >picture during training
>>704772858 Prepare to suck cock for 4-6 years. The military fucking blows if you have ANY common sense or self will. But hey if you like mindlessly following orders, playing like you're actually a member of the military(because you really arent as navy/af unless you go special forces), and literally being at the bottom of the shit list until you hit NCO GO FOR IT BRUH.
Air force fag here, join a medical field. You'll be surrounded by wet puss 24/7. As soon as you get out of basic you'll go to kiesler and be part of the medical training squadron. Which consists of 90% frmales who haven't had any dick for 8 weeks of hell. Enjoy the fuck fest. Im a crew chief on aircraft, its not something a 9-5 fag should get into the hours and work can be tense at times. I dont regret it tho because im having a hell of a time. Just think about pulling a grilled cheese apart and thats pretty much what basic training snatch is after 8 weeks.
Air Farce >every Navy faggot is deployed on a ship for 6+ months at a time >any female you establish any kind of relationship with WILL fuck other men while you're gone >no ifs, it's a guarantee of when
>>704780118 can confirm. wasn't Navy, was Army 88L (watercraft engineer). guys come back from being underway to find wives and girl friends fucking around with other dudes. women try to say it's the boyfriend/husband's fault. drama ensues.
>>704772858 Air Force. Use your mind, and not your back.
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD OP, DON'T YOU DARE FUCKING QUIT!! I know Basic will be rough; you'll be moving faster than before, being pushed to do shit all the time, nothing you do ever seems right or 'good enough,' and you'll be sworn at 23 hours a day, but you'll live. If you finish Basic, it's all uphill from there. Just please, for the love of whatever 'god' you think is or isn't up there, don't quit. It will haunt you for the rest of your life.
>>704772858 Air force if you don't really want to risk being shot and want to take advantage of the more technical jobs. Navy is cool if you like being in the ocean in a large or small ship, or being in shit cities. Just do your research. I joined the Army and hated it, so never consider Army or Marines if even the tiniest of thoughts enter your mind.
The air force can be a pain in the dick to get the mos you want though. They are smaller and like previously stated job is pretty important. I'm in the army and they have set me up with a handful of basic IT certs which will be helpful if I ever finish school.
All the services have TA too which is awesome for completing a few classes while you're in.
I like being in the army even though I said earlier I would have preferred Air. My brother went air force and we laugh at how shitty the army conditions are compared to the AF.
>>704781023 Lel He works medical don't know exact afsc, but it's all he bitches about Any train base is Sloots everywhere But being permanent party or prior service and banging a tech schooler is a death wish
>>704781319 If you quit in basic training for Navy or Air Force, you don't even deserve to be in service and get college benefits. You deserve to work at McDonalds for the rest of your life. Even in the Army, basic training is garbage. The marines is the only branch who's basic training is somewhat hard.
Hahaha. Motherfucker, I've been to Subic Bay, Pattaya, Manila, Singapore, Darwin, Hong Kong, and about 5 other ports that have been forever lost to me through drunken debauchery. I've seen prostitutes shoot ping pong balls of of their pussies and Salty ass Chiefs catch it in their mouth. You don't know fucking shit.
Air Force bro, AF all the fucking way. It's the easiest basic training and if you do an MOS that applies into the civilian world then you're fucking set for life. Don't be a fucking dumbass and go fagcombat, you'll just get fucked up. Be smart do something in IT, Mechanical Repair, Drone Piloting, anything communications, etc etc. The corresponding civilian jobs pay a fucking shit ton of money for military trained people in those fields.
>>704781662 I know its bad if you're permanent party but op will be fresh. We did have a milf at dover who fucked some dorm guys. She was the dorm manager and a TsGT. Yes thats a special duty and yes she got ass blasted.
>>704781982 When I went through basic in the Army all I did was get yelled at. At one point our DS was teaching us about how to pass the rifle range, a dude fell asleep and our DS left. Like he left and went home because he was so pissed off. An hour later, another DS from another platoon came up to our barracks and fucked us up for 3 hours. That was 3 hours of "regulated" pt. Meaning he made us do PT by the books for 3 hours, so that if one of us dropped dead, he'd be okay since he went by the book. During a land nav course, I went through basic in a february, I got a broken tent. It didn't zip at all, I even said it when I got it issued. My DS said "you'll never use it," during land nav we did, it was 20F outside, and my tent didn't fucking zip. I was blasted with icy air for 8 hours. I almost called to go to medical because I couldn't feel my toes or fingers in the morning.
My best friend is in the Air Force right now, his basic was a luxury. They got drill sgt time, and a lot of book reading, and pansy ass shit I didn't believe could exist from a basic training regime. My buddy didn't even hear about the shit we had to do in his basic training.
The "which boot/basic is tougher" is not a meme. It's a truth.
>>704782300 >Why is it, they always brag about their dress blues dropping panties, but every marine married girls at least 250lbs?>>704781639
Sometimes married, divorced, and married and divorced again--these were not attractive women mind you. I've met some really screwed up people in the Marines. I'm not sure if it's the fault of the USMC, or if it's just part of the type of person the USMC attracts.
>>704772858 18 year old here, I literally ship out a week from today with the air force. Honestly the branch just depends on what you prefer. Both have pros and cons, one of the biggest cons of being in the Navy is all the dick you'll get to suck.
Everyone likes to give the Navy shit, and for the most part it does suck, but the fucking stories I could tell. Whew buddy. I'm surprised I'm still alive, not in jail, and have full function over my penis.
>>704783034 Implying I'm new and not aware (6yrs meow Literally any fucking idiot makes it through basic/boot Pt get yelled at stand around lots No thinking no decisions listen and do Still the lowest form of training you get everyone did it. If you brag about you baisc/boot you're some fag who has a lame job and tries to make himself feel better Also af training got completely and totally fucked a few years back, 30 plus instructors raping people
>>704772858 try and join based upon getting a job thats suited to a future career.
EX: I love fucking chemistry and nuclear physics. I joined the navy and went to nuke school. got out, went to school for physics hoping to go for nuclear physics. found out i didnt like academia. so i went nuclear engineering and enjoyed a nice career with that.
nuke school is an extreme example, but my point still stands. try and get into something that will give you a good stepping stone for your future rather then just ending up as a grunt.
>>704784875 Ha, NOPE. I got out soon as my contract was over. Now I'm dropping hoes in college. The army has either made me a sociopath or opened my eyes to the world, because these people are some retarded people. The only people with actual common sense are the older people, a select few vets (most of them play that 'I was in service card' to feel special) or those kids who skipped a grade. College is weird shit man. Sometimes I wish I was still in service.
>>704784861 You'll most likely be attached to an MI unit unless you get attached to brigade staff. In a MICO, it depends on your unit. I was in 101st, so I had to do a lot of bullshit infantry stuff, rarely did my job since my unit didn't want to deploy new people. My platoon was all 35 golfs and foxes, and we pretty much did the same shit together. A lot of back and forth with paperwork and PT.
>>704786165 You will most likely remain stateside. Could entirely depend on unit placement, but in the 101st, I did not have the opportunity to deploy at all. The only ones who got to go were high speed AA and 100 million%er's on their PT tests.
Officer here, and you're right. We either drink the koolaid or put on a mask and suffer due to our inability to actually make anything better for the first 10 years of our career. Feelsbadman, can't wait to get out. The money's nice tho
>>704786856 I love you guys! You'll spend 2 hours on the phone trying to get our trojan systems to work. LOL you share our pain being stuck in the rain on field weeks and it isn't even your fault the system sucks in the first place!
>>704787516 You ever get to play with the geronimo's during JRTC week? I got to go to JRTC as a support for our deploying dudes, and the geronimos played some sick ass MILES game with us at night. They kicked our ass but still fun as fuck. 5 of us vs 5 of them, we took down 2 before an asshole with an m249 fucked us up from behind.
>>704787643 >>704787742 ooooh, we just got a tlite system before I ETS'd. That's a lot of shit to inventory, but I did like setting up the dish and that wonky antenna thing. Fuck the DRASH that came with it though.
>>704787833 I don't talk to them often sadly. I got to hear a bunch of stories from them when I went to BLC with a few. We end up supporting the rotations because no one ever brings us because their systems are up. But really they just haven't turned it on in a year or two and it's wrecked. Hahaha. Cool training for us. Makes them look like shit.
>>704788084 Probably one of the worst months I spent in the Army. the 2 weeks of doing nothing but signing out vehicles and tags was shit. I got fat on fucking pizza hut the entire time since the shoppette was half a mile form the barracks and became the bay's m4 bitch. the actual week being spent in the box was fine though. I got to sleep in till like 8, since I got a village in the middle of bumfuck nowhere polk.
>>704774578 >Air Force: parajumper (pj) or combat controller!
If you're just in it for the college and benefits, don't do this. Not worth it and you won't make it through pipeline unless you're really driven to save lives as a PJ or put warheads to foreheads as CCT. 8 years CCT here.
>>704788648 I actually got lucky on our last box rotation because I was being deployed. I showed up in the OCT uniform. (eye pro, FLIC, smug looking face) and got to leave everyday. Hahaha. But still helped bring our systems up.
Got a fucking AAM for bringing our tlite up or doing my job. It was just awesome because the guys from my shop didn't get shit and they stayed out there.
