Last video game you played?
Monster Hunter generations
It was either CSGO or The Binding of Isaac.
V is the best game, engine wise, but there's just something so inviting about Vice City. The way the visual style, music and feeling come together, it really is more satisfying to play than GTA V. PS2/Xbox/GC era really was the pinnacle of gaming, back when they were still relatively cheap to make (especially compared to now) and there was a great wave of creativity in design. Now, everything just feels so bland and un-fun.
Pic related, I still believe that this is, all around, one of the most -FUN- videogames ever made, there were so many options and it had so much character (both character as in personality and characters you could play and fight in the near limitless arcade mode)
and it was from a time when you couldn't just patch your videogame later on, it all had to work when it released or you were just fucked. To think more and more kids will grow up only knowing of games that are never a final piece of work, but as a never-ending and always changing "entity" that may or may not still be fun after the next update.
>I ... I just want t-to go b-back...
Overwatch. I play Bastion and sit in corners cause I have no skill.
Hadn't played this game since childhood, so i dusted it off and tried it again. It was pretty meh tbh
Overwatch, I play as Tracer almost all the time.
What do people actually enjoy about overwatch? Is it that it's the first game this year that arguably isn't bad?
played it on an emulator
last game I actually played in earnest was Black Ops 5 years ago
Gaming is dead, can't remember the last time I played a game made after 2007
not my video but recently installed FMCB on my dusty old PS2 and had the Sega Ages collection. Short but I loved every moment of it.
It's like CS:GO, in the sense that you get better at playing, and not your character. Except the characters are interesting and you can unlock better shit than stupid weapon skins.
>tfw no one to play couch co op with you or splitscreen slayer
I'm a faggot and the last game I played was fallout 2.
Addicted to how this game makes me feel.
fucking awesome game
If you can be specific, what did you not like? Was it the learning curve? Or maybe it was that it took so long to unlock things? I had a blast with it from the moment i started playing it and i didnt really feel annoyed at the time it took to learn the game or unlock things. I have now leveld up to 79 and played for 450 hours and i cant stop :D
im to poor, best i can probably play is LoL with a shitty intel pentium
Lego jurassic park. Got it on sale for the next time my nephew comes over he has something to play. Don't think I'll leave anything for him to unlock at the rate I'm playing it
I've put over 90 hours as Mercy, aka, the angel healer with a giant target on her back. I've lasted as long as i have playing as her because I play it like a bullet hell game and just fly from person to person dodging everything while trying to get some kills in. One of my favorite matches was one where I got a play of the game as her with only 4 kills.
Fire Emblem : Radiant Dawn, it's a strategy roleplaying game on the Nintendo Wii, but I am using Dolphin to emulate it since people are greedy fucks who often sell it for over one hundred dollars.
Crypt of the NecroDancer
Takes some time to get in but damn.
Honing my skills for God Of War 4 even though Kratos is probably never going to use his original swords ever again, cause why would he want to? They were literally part of his body for years.
Pokemon soul silver, best pokemon game ever.
Somebody likes to waste their money on yearly sports games with no reasonable changes. Seriously I have one of the originals from the late nineties on my old Sega. Besides some names and graphics the series never changes on any of the sports games.
Hi, thanks for the implications.
The last NHL game I bought was 13 or 14, I didn't buy any of the next gen ones because the features were gimped, but the latest release has them all + a lot more features and it's a really good product which will last me another few years of play.
Pokemon Crystal. Best pokemon.
I've been playing through yellow the last couple weeks and yesterday I just got into Crystal. Its so much better designed than the original and shots got a day and night cycle that im surprised my emulator actually keeps time with.
Then... Where's the remake of that game, ey anon?
Just Cause 3. I've barely advanced the story and have liberated almost the whole game just to unlock all the weapons and vehicles and mods.
This game would be so much more fun if it didn't absolutely cripple the PS4 when any explosions went off. If you could get it running on a crazy ass PC with mods it could be the most fun game ever.
Better Spiderman game than any Spiderman game I ever played.
You gotta play the classic.
And plus soul and heart are notoriously buggy on emulators and im pretty broke to buy an original copy.
Plus it replaces Marina with Lyra dafua.
The only remake I really liked was leafgreen and firered. It fixed the original's few problems.
Is Shadow of the Colossus worth all the hype?
I mean, I know the story is good, but is it actually a good game? Or is all the hype just the fact that it was good for the time?
I never hear anyone actually talking about the gameplay, everybody always just jacks off the cinematic experience, but I play video games to have fun, not to watch movies and press buttons.
So is it actually fun to play?
I loved 4 But in ways it needs smoothening out.
Need something less retarded than the Water cooler machinegun that they call an assault rifle to use 5.56 which I have shiting up my inventories.
Need a use for .45 and .38 after you upgrade the combat rifle and stop using pipes.
10mm pistols suck ass after the halfway point. And the delivered forces you to go it's way or no more 10mm so fuck that.
Gun selection sucked, but the dlcs and modification system stretched out the guns.
5mm is useless once you get any other automatic. This shoulda been what the AK in nuka world fired instead of it's own fancy new hard to obtain caliber.
Power armor no longer has any bonuses per model. And each tier is just a direct damage and durability upgrade.
The settlement system is cool but they wasted 3 and a half DLCs on the settlement system adding things that free mods already added to the game (some of them being around as long as fallout 3) instead of giving us more Goddamn gameplay.
Gunners are literally just a green coloured remake of talon company.
Regardless of how hard you work with any faction or building your own, one faction has to die for you to best the game. (Versus almost every fallout where you can talk down the end boss/get somebody else to do your dirty work.)
No enclave in the game at all.
Shitty radio DJ that the only saving grace is his nervousness and lack of composure has a qeust turning him into a pompous ass who Just sounds forced and fake.
Also those fucked up high system requirements that I met and the game still fucking lags and the lack of fine tune settings.
Alien blaster is fucking garbage now.
Still I like the game. It improved on many things. DLC shitbin aside of you came at it before the season pass price increase or only for the goty/ultimate edition it's worth it.
My bot has hit all the limits and I still haven't been banned.
>implying that I haven't played them
You know, gold/silver/Cristal were my first pokemon games, so, I my my shit with them anon. And I agree, that's why i bought it for a cheap price.
that sounds neat, can you explain the basics of all if it, like what do you do on go, why bot it? how efficient is the bots?
I ask because I never gave a shit about the game but as a programmer using a bot on it really interests me.
I couldn't begin to tell you how the bot works. I, too, didn't give a shit about this game because I was an old Ingress player and I never cared about Pokemon anyway. I started a not PTC account to test the bot and it's actually really neat.
You set the starting point in the config file, and then define a maximum range around that point, what walking speed you want, and how much you want to vary the walking speed. You set a few more parameters, and can even filter out what pokemon you want, the config file is pretty extensive. Then it just runs and you let it do its thing, it goes to pokestops, catches pokemon, evolves pokemon, hatches eggs, everything.
I'm basically just seeing how long it takes me to get banned, it's not like the accounts are useful. Even super high level accounts are only going for like 10 bucks with pokemon with over 1000+ CP so it's just an experiment.
I'll shut it down soon and then change the config to a different metro city a few days later so I don't look suspicious and start farming that city. If I manage to stay unbanned until I move I might take over a bunch of college fag gyms with it, I think it has options to automatically do gyms.
Highly recommended game, and play it through for the true ending. Very fucked up, In think you'll all like it.
And here's a handy link...
I remember playing 2 player with my younger brother and laughing our asses off at the ridiculous shit you could do in the game
>mfw I'll never experience those precious moments ever again
Final Fantasy A Realm Reborn
Stalker call of pripyat. Just took a brake and came on /b.
I've been cycling between Fire Emblem: Awakening (first time playing, surprised as to how much I loved it), Pokemon AS, Overwatch and Guild Wars 2.
In the mood to play some N64/PS1 and download an emulator now after seeing what some of you guys have been playing.
replaying the ME series to build up my saves for andromeda even though they havent said anything if itll carry over or not. also partly because i enjoy being a galactic asshole and killing everything
Killing Floor 2
Level 8 supp is pretty shit
This game is metal as fuck
gore is almost too detailed
This thread is a good thread
ryse: son of rome
have to say first impression on that game is fucking amazing, a little repetitive but am enjoying it so far
fucking executions in that game make me like diamonds
