No op, but I am a catholic. As a catholic we differ in the way we view the bible then most other christian denomination. We see the bible for what it is, a book written by men and we believe it was inspired by the holy spirit. Meaning, when we look at Genesis we understand that it was written by many men over a long period of time and is not meant to scientifically explain anything because since was not around when it was written. As for picking and choosing from the old testament, I would like to say that Christ by sacrificing himself removed the original sin from Adam and eve which also frees Christians from any and all laws in the old testament. Though the laws can be seen a guide if you want to, a Christian is not required to follow them.
