USUALLY if you get a set of keys.. you have to sign them in and out when you start your shift. That way they know who has what set. You dont just get to keep them.

Yes, actually, this is what happens. Luckily we don't hire criminals who steal keys. And they can't easily copy them unless they know a shady locksmith who's willing to put his entire career on the line as well as criminal charges because all the keys to important areas are security keys.

All you have to do is find out the company who deals with the keys and locks for the hospital. Two minute phone call, they'll mail you any key you want, intercept the key in the mail, its yours.

Better yet, there are apps that let you take a picture of your key and receive a reproduction in the mail.
