Are you one of these people that doesn't think anything but the Russell group unis are even unis? I knew a few like that in college, we didn't get on. Though I've been told by a number of lecturers that for most subjects, unless you're at Edinburgh, Cambridge or Oxford then you'll be getting a pretty similar degree at Undergraduate level anyway, so it doesn't hugely matter except for the connections you make while in the city you chose. However, at a postgraduate level, that's where it really matters, for a Master's from say Bedfordshire or Bishop Grossette or Teeside won't be as useful as one from Lincoln or Dundee or York or wherever.
