OP it looks fine. Those dark spots are the bud turning purple, it does this because of a temperature drops during grow. Looks like it has a fair bit of stalk, but neverless, looks like nice bud. If its too sticky, put it on some paper and put it on top of your xbox or playstation fan to dry it out.

If it's male, you just pull it up and throw it. If harvesting, yes you can just pull it up then trim it, but I find it easier to chop off a branch at a time and trim them, then hang them up to dry.

Something that I don't often hear is the importance of drying it in complete darkness. The dark means the chloroplasts (the things that photosynthesise) break down. Even a little light is enough to keep them functioning, and they give a harsh smoke.

I use a pair of scissors to trim off all the leaf, following the natural shape of the bud. I "flush" my plants by stopping their food and giving only pH adjusted water for the last 2 weeks of flower. This makes the plant use up any nutes still in the soil and then draw up pure water, using up any nutes left in the plant matter. If it's not flushed, the bud tastes metallic, and pops and sparks when you smoke it.

I don't really trim while it's still growing, though I do remove any leaf that's blocking the light to a bud. I wouldn't use these to make extracts, unless you want to add CBD to your extract in which case you can add some, but all the fine trim that comes off at harvest definitely. I got it all from a local growshop. There's nothing that needs anything other than the cash to buy it ( in the UK, at least). They're mostly just varying mixtures that provide the right nutes for the stage of growth, e.g. veg needs lots of Nitrogen, then flowering needs extra Phosphorus and Potassium (P/K). Then there are loads of trace elements like Molybdenum that the plant needs.

Each grow costs maybe £400 in electricity, another couple of hundred on soil, food etc. I spend an hour a day, maximum, tending them, then it usually takes two of us a weekend to crop.
Generally get 45-50oz dry, keep maybe 5 or 6 for myself, then the rest goes to the same couple of people at £200/oz, £180/oz for 5 or more.
So a low estimate is around £6500 profit, plus, of course, all the bud I want and the oil or hash made from the fine trim.

You could try an autoflower. Never done one myself, but they're supposed to flower based on age rather than photoperiod. They wouldn't get as big, but theoretically they should flower all year round.
The ducting is attached to an intake fan, drawing in cool air. There's more on the ceiling that's attached to a carbon filter and an extractor fan.

Illegal here too. I get my seeds online, usually from Greenhouse Seeds or Barney's Farm Seeds. I realise though that seeds are also illegal in some places. In England, they're legal until you germinate them.
Yes, that's exactly what I do with the lights. They start vegging on 24hr light to grow them fast, then after 4 weeks or so go to 18 light 6 dark. When They're big enough, I switch to 12/12, which makes the plant flower. After 5 weeks it changes to 10l/14d, mainly to save on the electricity bill, I'm not sure this last change makes much difference to the plant.

No, I grow in coco. It's basically soil without any nutrients, so it's kind of like hydro with a much bigger buffer against disaster.
You could start them on 18/6, they just won't get as big in the same amount of time. The light is the most important food you give them.

Sorry anon, tes 18light/6dark. The coco is (I think) made from coconut husks. Coco coir is the full name. It looks and feels just like compost but contains no nutrition, which gives you better control over the food they get, and it makes it easier to flush out the nutes before harvest.
