Guys. Why does nobody care about energy &/|| chackras? Starting to look at things under this point of view pretty much changed my life and gave me ability to better handle everyday situations. [plus, in my opinion, it actually seems to explain how things work]
>>683596610 Hard to say since I cant imagine how big it is... last thing I learned is how to colour code, recognize, and (sometimes) reject bad energy. Me and my friend here aside me are the only ones who seem to care here in north Italy, so how about you?
>>683597504 Awesome, we're kind of close by. I'm from croatia. I feel everything much more intensly than i did before i got into this kind of stuff, and am also more at peace with everything. Guess i'm more connected to the world around me.
Then you're an idiot that just happened to start with the correct answer. and I don't need things "Proved by myself" because that is a fucking stupid way of going about things, I don't trust that E=Mc^2 because I've gone out and done the work myself.
If your only test of whether something is true is whether the current evidence can convince you and your ignorant, limited, fallible, biased brain then it is no wonder that you're an adult that believes in magic.
>>683598896 Yeah, because I am sure you can come up with more reasonable explanations for the physical reality, with your no credentials, than the entirety of scientific community, who has spent all their lives studying the subject.
>>683598276 I personally felt what the poster in your picture is feeling: "Write down what i experienced about energy without caring about people's prejudice on words related to this topic" (when you start talking about chakras, energy, meditation, aura... people usually shut their doors.) Never followed a yoga instructor, all by myself + friend
>>683600051 Yeah shaman's are the shit. Lemme tell you about this meeting I had: >go to local shaman >he tells me to find spirit animal >he starts banging his drum, hypnotical shit suddenly i am in nothing. all i hear is his drum which is now becoming more distant >i start to wade through nothingness. suddenly its wet >fucking wet >am a fucking sea urchin >break out of trance, look at shaman "what the fuck dude you made me sea urchin" >"that must be your way then" >"but im a fucking sea urchin! How can i progress when i can barely MOVE" >"that must be your way then" and he continues to bang his drum >fucking sucks to be a spirit sea urchin
>>683595955 It's stupid mainstream bullshit. But it does have some interesting roots. Energy work seems like nonsense until you realize that you're entire body is a mechanical system driven by chemical reactions.
Your organs, muscles, bones, blood and tissue are all connected and are each dependant on each other to have a healthy body.
If you have a pinched nerve you will suffer having damage elsewhere in your body. If the electrical signals can't flow freely from their origin then your body can't perform the tasks it wants to.
This is why these mystics talk about blocked chakras and bullshit. They basically say they are sensitive to the body and can see issues in a known system without medical knowledge.
Doesn't mean you shouldn't get acupuncture or go see a chiropractor and meditate to keep your body healthy.
It's either you find the source of your issues from a chemical electrical point of view or you block the brain from knowing your body is having issues with pain pills.
Tldr. Mainstream bullshit is everywhere but there is some truth to eastern medicine. The difference between east and west is that the east solves the problem and the West masks it.
I wonder how that applies to our larger scale world.
>Have you ever cared about energy? Yes, for the longest time. Shit just doesn't add up. And I don't mean it as a skeptic, but as a practitioner (mostly yoga but also other chakra exercises) that never experienced *ANY* results.
>inb4 energy blockades Been down this road too. It. Doesn't. Work.
>inb4 it's my attitude It wasn't like this when I started.
I could keep inb4ing all your potential suggestions, but there's simply no point. I've explored the topic in and out, even more than some "experts" perhaps. Trust me when I say: this shit is nothing more than placebo for gullible.
>>683599436 (I believe in you as a curious person, so I also thrust that you wont stop at point 1 after reading that word) 1) Same principle as pranotherapy i think 2) I usually wake up my chakras and after them I focus on my arms and hands and feet, wich I feel linked to my 4th chakra, doing so I connect pipes to "things", now I feel like I can move the "fuel". 3) Also indexes' fingertips feel each others when connected and then separated
when denying an established scientific theory (ie. evolution, big bang, relativity etc.) you either have to think that 1. The scientists (within the relevant subject) is incompetent and got everything wrong 2. The scientists (thousands of them) are in on a conspiracy to hide the truth 3. The scientists know something about the subject in which they themselves are experts that you don't
>>683595955 i think a lot of people here read Dawkins before they read Kuhn or Feyerabend. There's the belief that modern science and medicine IS the only rigorous and acceptable form of information gathering. But like, read Hume or Lakatos and try convincing me that induction even works.
If we can't know anything about anything, why do we feel the need to immediately discount what we are told by spiritualists? Like, is their illogical method of understanding the world just inherently worse than your illogical method for understanding the world?
If a few guys from Louisville get lucky and win the lottery, we don't immediately assume you need to be a Kentuck to win the lottery. A few scientists do, we assume you do. Weird.
>>683601797 Maybe it's because you're thinking of it from too high of a level. Pressure points and massage have an energetic side to them as well and they exist with solid evidence.
I mean if I can hit a spot on your chin and knock you out because you were hit there then why can't there be other energetic ways of hurting and healing based on pressure points and where those signals go when you hit them.
>>683595955 i think there are definetly parts of our brain we could unlock. i think our understanding of time and consciousness is near zero. i keep an open mind and try things. fedoras keep their mind shut and hence they will never grow. i may adopt practices which are bullshit, but i will also adopt practices that are real but yet to be fully understood too. nothing to lose by experimenting, we only live once, and our species is extremely young.
>>683602636 I think you don't understand the scientific method. We literally developed it in order to test claims in a repeatable fashion. If you want to do energy work that's fine. Just be willing to prove it in front of a medical lab.
>>683601389 Science says there's no cure for diseases like cancer and Alzheimers. I, just a guy in my early 20s with no scientific degree can cure someone of cancer, alzheimers and many other degenerative diseases. I'm not even talking about healing with energy here (as in putting my hands over someone), i'm talking about giving the body what it needs, as in food, exercise, etc (which is a form of energy I guess. Because everything is energy). It's about healing the body. But the scientists say it's a load of crap. They mock with their names such as 'woo woo'. Then the other scientists, doctors are taught that it's a load of nonsense so then they blindly push it away too, without doing any actual research themselves. It's not 'alternative'. It's the natural way to heal the body. It's the science treatments that are 'Alternative'. Science does not get to the ROOT cause. They primitively just do things like cutting it out, burning it out, etc. It's not intelligent.
There's a story online about a normal doctor whos husband had Alzheimers. He was losing his mind. Science says there's NO CURE for this. All they do is put people on drugs to supposedly slow it down. Nothing else. Not even recommending the patient to get more exercise. The doctor with the husband would usually just follow the protocol.. giving the patient drugs. But because this was her husband and she didn't want to lose him. She actually thought for herself and did some research. She came across Coconut Oil and started giving it to him every day. He ended up being cured of Alzehimers. Can you believe that? Cured. When there's supposedly no cure. There's absolutely loads of people that have done the same with their relatives, and it all makes sense from a scientific point a view if you look at what things like Coconut Oil contains in it and how it helps the brain.
>>683601389 I'm actually in love with engines (expecially two strokes, biker here) so I'm studying it from both point of views. Google for piston sqish or torque curves related to ignition anticipation... each approach fits.
>>683603373 If you know the cure, how come you're saving millions of people, earning millions of dollars in the prosess? >There's a story online Cool anecdote m8 >Can you believe that? Cured. Nope, I can't. Source please.
>>683603675 lel you're right. How there people still exist beats me too, in this age where we have more knowledge than ever before in human history people still prefer to believe in fairy tales. Just as long as it goes against the mainstream. Fucking faggots
Just try for yourself, start googling for chakras, meditation and energies (only believe what you prove and watch out).
I assume your will to know is in the right direction, since you added spice to your comment in will to have a definite answer, but used in the wrong way. If i would be a person in front of you, I'd probably would have turned around and started walking away.
I thought I had my chakras aligned when speaking with a friend of mine who's a Hare Krishna. The topic of chakras didn't come up at all, but the language he used was pretty surreal and seemed to program me on another level. Personally I'm a Buddhist/Nihilist who doesn't really acknowledge their existence, despite having numerous psychedelic fueled episodes that seem to defy rational explanation, or at least my capability to explain, or listen to somebody else's input who wasn't there, and doesn't necessarily understand the ultimate subjectivity of such phenomena. Still, it was a pleasant subject to take into consideration; made me more comfortable with standing upright.
>>683603605 i mean there are abilities we are yet to harness with our brains. i think the most obvious one is premonition. those that had a better sense of danger before it was obvious had a better chance of survival from an evolutionary perspective. it is possible with the multiverse theory if we share the same consciousness in alternate universes. i could obviously be wrong here, but i choose tk keep my mind open to such possibilities, because humanity is stilll in its infancy, there is so much we still dont knoe. i am not afraid to shift through vast swathes of bullshit if i can find a gem occassionally
>>683604397 jesus christ, just stop... You're nothing but a delusional outcast who believes he's a special snowflake, but in reality you're just a twat posting shit nobody takes seriously. The world is very complicated and fascinating, yet you resort to concepts you know nothing about. you clearly know jack shit about evolutionary psych nor quantum, so suck my ass
>>683603675 You're just repeating something that you've heard other people that are against it say.
How many people die from cancer treatments? As much as I hate it, my mother has just recently started working in the cancer ward of a hospital. The amount of people that have cancer in the first place is mindblowing, and there's a hell of a lot that die. She also says that there's absolutely loads that have the cancer come back years later after their treatment but it's all over their body this time.
The doctors put these poor people through all of this torture, making their immune systems weaker and then they die. It's sad. The doctors even allow cancer patients to go outside to smoke a cigarette! Absolutely crazy.
>>683601840 If i'd explain to you, you'll never get back to it again since I don't know how to catch your attention and i'm not good enough (not yet ;) ) to answer your questions. Just learn what chakras and energies are and you'll eventually find your questions and answer to them by yourself.
>>683604888 trips of truth anon. if they had half a brain they'd work on connecting with other people better. Bit instead they act superior and arrogant, while making statements nobody takes seriously. every group has that one guy who is always going on about crazy shit lacking any solid foundation. Pisses me off
>>683605017 wells it's not helping is it? It's making your body weaker. I'm just giving the other side of it because the guy that replied to me was saying that people die because of not following the doctors orders and instead following the Natural way.
>>683604681 i would be worried if most took what i said seriously. there is no upside to keeping your mind shut friend. yes you will encounter lots of bullshit, even if you think people like me are full of shit. the point is that you need to keep open your capacity for imagination. or hey, you can keep your mind shut and follow science to the T if that is what you prefer, its your own journey. oh and just to let you know friend, you seem very angry and tense there, you might need to exercise more or meditate, just the vibe i am getting therr, peace.
I've been meditating for almost 10 years, tried "living meditation" a year or so back, can direct energy for simple things like controlling heart rate and how much I bleed from cuts. Practical meditation for me started with tummo meditation, eventually I realised using sacred geometry could attain similar effects but with a lot more ease (but less actual heat). At the moment I'm trying to use it for super strength, but it only seems to work for bursts of energy, so I can't just go to a gym and lift 100kg weights. It's good for... Uh, cracking bolts and opening jars, not much else.
BTW distribute your energy equally and foresake the chakra points. The chakra obsession leads to things like poor energy flow to your legs, if you meditate next and distribute evenly and then feel a cool feeling in your legs, that's because you were unbalanced as fuck. Instead, imagine yourself filling your body entirely, not just centred on your heart or stomach or head.
Pros >perfect self control >special effects, heat, strength, etc.
Cons >sometimes freaks can tell how far you've gotten >fucking freaks with dots on their forehead that stare at you >what the fuck are all these freaks doing taking the same PT I do? >holy fuck the freaks, why are you always around? >leave me alone freaks, let me be an angelic human in peace
>>683596368 Most of it is, some of it isn't, and that which isn't is some of the best personal evidence for the supernatural you'll find.
>>683595955 well, energy is like water and Chakras are pipeline when u opened all the chakras and then the energy will be recycle in your body then you will have the telekinesis like lucy, however you will lost your personality, you won't love or hate anything
>>683603533 Felt that? It's what i'm talking about :) Since you don't know me, and I don't know you, I can't judge you and nobody will know if you'll do this thing or not. You're free to act as you feel.
Try being kind to 10 people in a day, hugs, phisical contact and compliments work best in my opinion. You have 24hours, Wait for the reaction.
>>683595955 Some See, some Don't. It's their life context funneling them through a confined single circuit of destiny. You're supposed to Sense energy. Others aren't. No one can wake up anyone else. Teaching is a false verb, learning is the only verb. Everyone incorporates only as much as they want to inside the aperture of their awareness of reality. Maybe last time around the Samsaric wheel, they were too conscious. This time their life is spent asleep. A necessary rest as the wheel turns.
>>683597127 From a completely different perspective here, art maybe? I mean know we can explain, say, the stars in the sky but that doesn't matter when it comes to the beauty, and surely that is what life is really about. Not necessarily beauty, just that substance of experience. Even a scientist would say they are scientists because they love science and so again it's the feeling of it that is really being lived for.
>>683604888 Story of my previous answer to you: write kilometric answer le press mouse delete word page goes backward so i have to write down again write shorter version
REALITY OF FACTS: i couldn't explain it to you because i'm not as good as I would like to be to give you the proof you are looking for. But you actually rekt me with the plug and soles thing, so I also assume you're smart. Just give it a try at googling it, this night or, when you can... ;)
>>683605829 not to offend but i get the impression you just finished reading god delusion etc. i think dawkins etc make great points butyou really should consider expanding your mind beyond that, contrary to whst you may believe they may be wrong. you wont know if you keep your mind closed, keep it open if you are so confident of your own methodology and thinking processes. you have nothing to lose.
>>683606243 Seen the video of monks meditating naked in a stream and creating smoke? You can't give yourself a fever, but despite your surroundings a disciplined mind can raise their body temperature to normal body temperature. This is tummo meditation and for most people it's their first step to practical meditation.
Next step is stopping the bleeding from shallow cuts, resisting hunger (just like Jesus), super strength and some athletes even use meditative states to increase their endurance, Ian Thorpe is a great example.
Some of this is real. Honest and real. The human body is capable of more than what we currently know.
>>683606562 Okay let's say you get punched in the head. Different effects happen depending on where you are hit. If I hit your forehead it will have a different effect than your chin or your nose or your temple. That's the idea of pressure points.
Your body isn't made up of a perfect Web of nerves and vains. There are choke points where lots of them meet. Hitting these points causes some pretty significant changes in the body.
>>683595955 Ex-fedora tipper here. I use to give a shit about these things, not believing in them but constantly trying to prove people wrong, I have relatives that get images taken of them to get a picture of their soul color or what ever it is, I don't know much about it. Took me a while to realize how much of a dick I really was to people who really didn't do anything wrong, they weren't involving spirituality in politics nor did they push it on to other people. I guess I grew up and stopped having my head up my own ass. If anything I encourage people these days who are spiritual to try meditating or look into groups like hare krishna or Buddhism. (probably spelled that like an idiot) If there is one thing i still cant tollerate is all these fucking con artist there are trying to milk people out of money.
>>683605650 Some people really do lack a basic understanding of what cancer is and how everyone, literally everyone will grow tumors, even some that may be malignant and try to kill you. Thanks for being one of the few that grasp that concept
>>683605522 Thread creator here, I actually know i'm unbalanced as fuck, i'm doing my best, i and i'll try your "full fill" method. Anyway... that's it... people expect superpowers or the big revelations from chakras and meditation, when only thing I think you can archieve is efficiency.
>>683606573 And I'm telling you the truth. I don't care what you're perceived truth is because your reality has nothing to do with anyone else's and you shouldn't be shoving it down my throat. Your teachings should have taught you that unless you're a typical half wit who read the first two sentences on Wikipedia before getting excited and changing your worldview
>>683607846 >I don't understand things because I didn't to the effort to do proper research so i'll just say anything goes and make myself look special in the process
spoiler: no one wants to hear your bullshit because you're just an uneducated twat. do some proper research and maybe people will take you seriously, but now you're just insulting human knowledge and all the great minds who came before you
We have chemicals in our brains. They do stuff. Some of them come from different places in the brain.
The pituitary gland makes some of these chemicals.
There are other things in nature that make similar chemicals. They have a higher strength than the ones we naturally produce.
When you have way more than your brain normally makes you trip. In other news it's really fucking easy to see that we live in an objective reality with a relative social ruleset. We have physics and a few other hard rulesets but socially there are no real rules. We made them up and bind ourselves to them
>>683603605 study Wild Children. Learning/Teaching is everything. Then you'll understand how/why different people have access to different component parts of the brain, due to their experiences and preferred neural pathways. tl;dr you're not a neurologist. study more.
>>683605522 im also in the process of healing my legs i am 20 years old angelic as well, but i am in the process of redistributing my natural strength. my legs are having a tough time because i built a super powerful efficient upperbody but it became too demanding and i started getting ice cold feet and lots of leg pain. I'm resting/gaining strength/trying to destroy the scar tissue right now any tips?? (lots of pain in the bad leg in the knee area, stretching inner groin area trying to reactive a dormant gluetus maximus as well please help you seem legit
>>683607209 Do you have a point? Are you trying to say difficult things are impossible or something? Lazy shit, just Google this shit.
>>683607342 I make it a point not to proselytize to anyone who either doesn't want it or didn't ask for it. I also make it a point not to charge money or expect any reward for my knowledge, actually my beliefs only allow me to talk about it anonymously.
What you're talking about is called spiritual materialism.
>>683607628 Super powers take years and I'm still not entirely convinced it's not a placebo.
I couldn't even get into a meditative state in under 15 minutes to begin with, how many people have the patience to do absolutely nothing for 20 minutes? This stuff has a notoriously learning curve.
>i'll try your "full fill" method. Whilst doing so, sometimes it helps to imagine a large pentagram the size of your body. That's just a mental trick though, may or may not help you.
>>683607846 The energy in reality is probably just ATP or glucose or oxygen or even just manipulating blood flow. There's probably scientific explanations, but like who cares?
>>683595955 You mean like this shit? Just like religions usually, sounds cool and sometimes even halfway believable but is still complete bullshit. In rare cases they accidentally did something good for the body for the wrong reasons and that is used to justify all the other crap.
>>683607062 >>683607186 That electric signals are going through these points and when you apply pressure to them they have different effects. You can use them to heal or to hurt.
Chakras and energy work and healing is based on the applied form of pressure points and focuses on maintaining a balance of electrical signals in the body. If you have followed me so far then that's all there is to it.
Some people are bullshit artists. Some doctors are quacks. Most shamen are quacks. Turns out the human race is quite good at bullshit
Can anyone here validate my claim that you can meditate with your hand over a flame and not get burned? I posted about it before and ended up looking like a troll because there's so little info about it online. There must be something about it but I can't find any beyond a brief mention of derren brown doing it for one of his shows.
>>683595955 What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little shit? I’ll have you know I graduated top of Japan and I’m responsible for heart attacks of criminals world wide, and I have 124,925 confirmed kills. I trained myself to be the best in a battle of wits and I’m the god of this new world. You are nothing to me but just another name. I will wipe you the fuck out in a method that you can’t even comprehend, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the internet? Think again fucker. As we speak I am contacting all my followers and your personal file is being brought to my location right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime and kill you in over 2 million differant ways, and that’s just with my notebook. Not only am I extensively trained in finding out your name, but I have access to the entire arsenal of over 30 thousand world wild followers and I will use them to their full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of this continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what holy retribution your little “clever” statement was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would of held you fucking tounge. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you god damn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.
>>683615355 as >>683616480 said, science is a methodology. sure, we don't know everything. there is clearly a lot about the universe we don't yet know, and maybe never will know. but that doesn't mean you should just make shit up. without testing your beliefs, there is no way of knowing if they are correct or false
