it really depends on the author/artist. the idea that fluffies are selfish assholes (choosing favorite babies, raping everything) is kind of a more recent idea. if you go further back, most fluffies were just completely innocent, child-like beings who craved only love and hugs, and didn't know how to react to a cold and uncaring world. i'm more partial to the latter, but i still enjoy seeing a bratty mother/foal/smarty get fucked up

This is all hearsay from various members of the booru I've been in contact with.

CarnivorousDuck has an ego the size of Mount Rushmore and apparently goes out of his way to harass anyone who criticizes him.
This wasn't a huge problem until Duck collaborated with another artist and wrote one of the worst stories in booru history. Everyone criticized him and he went on a rampage attempting to dox and humiliate anyone he spoke against his collab. A large number of artists (a booru user in the last thread said nearly all of them) left the site. A sizable number of them are apparently DDoS'ing the site in retaliation and new artists drop like flies once they get a whiff of what's going on.

TL:DR Butthurt artist creates toxic atmosphere, drives most good artists off site, they retaliate by taking site down
