Current State of the Union:

Gaming channels are still going strong, generally, chugging along with gaming which is obviously still very popular, good niche to get into if you can smell what up and coming games will be popular, has been brilliant for Undertale youtubers etc.

As seen recently, a lot of the big guns are capitalising on 'drama', Boogie2988, h3h3, Keemstar, Scarce, IHE, GradeAUnderA, Pyrocynical, Leafy etc. etc. They will stir up some drama, either between themselves or on reddit. Subs always shoot up, even with Leafy and Ethan (subs barely went down before shooting up over the past 2 days), h3h3 has gotten 4.5M views in 4 days over this, they normally average 1.5M every 7 days on new videos, it works.

I think the current crop of comic youtubers like Filthy Frank, iDubbbzTV, Maxmoefoe and h3h3, they're truly on the wane, their audiences will plateau by the end of this year and people will begin to tire of them, they will tire of themselves.

Prank and reaction channels, depends what kind of reaction channel - I know for a face you will see little to no reactions from h3h3 on his main channel anymore, he knows it's a redundant scene and he's trying to diversify.

Channels like LeafyIsHere, Pyrocynical, Luna, NFKRZ, they're all capitalising on kids who are just growing out of Minecraft, they know it and behind closed doors I know Pyro for one hates his audience, but loves earning so much money from working for 2-3 hours a day.

Okay, so I'm not in the illuminati nor do I sub to either of those guys, Pewdiepie is subbed to me on YT (doesn't follow me on twitter, never spoken to the guy) and has been since 2012 when I was doing lets plays.

What I do know is they have employees at youtube who have put them on a system that protects them from the YT copyright system and allows them much more freedom in terms of choosing the actual ads that go on their videos, something that the bottom 99% do not have access too.

This isn't a rumour, I know a YTer who will remain nameless who has over 10M subs, was invited to have that service, but released a video that week they didn't agree with (it was pretty shitty tbh), so they don't give him that service.)

I don't know, I guess there are a huge amount of channels that fall under that category and they don't have the manpower to deal with all of us so they just keep it to the top 100 or so channels.

Here are 5 youtubers I have heard from more than one youtuber that they are complete cunts to either work with or just IRL:

1. George Miller AKA Filthy Frank, pretentious, switches friends all the time because people can't stand his douchebaggery, leaches off of people after spending that revenue money on jetsetting. The best filmography on his channel is almost always done by his NYC Film Student friend, not him, he pays people to edit his stuff, he pays people to film it, he pays for the music, half the ideas come from his friends who he doesn't pay, nor does he pay people for being in his video.

2.LeafyIsHere, immature, likes to think he is edgy and funny, thinks he's above cunts like Keemstar, but really he is as trashy as the rest of them, I've DM'd him but he sure didn't kiss my ass as much as he was doing Ethan's.

3. Vagabonds, lol, everyone used to hate Vagabonds cos he copied snipars, one of the first to do so, he copied Snipars affection for h3h3 even doing an interview with them, now everybody laughs cos his channel is dead, try hard cunt.

4. Boogie2988, everybody cringes when boogie releases a drama video, his heart may look like it's in the right place but I know for a fact he scams money on twitch (telling people it's for charity and then quickly backing out at the end.), he makes out he's on everybodies side but subtly makes his real feelings known. He may look like a nice guy but in reality he kisses and wanks of keemstar in the shadows cos he's scared of him.
