I want to make a film
I had an idea about a biography of a car, and the impact it had on a depressed mans life. Even a shitbox can make a difference if it creates change, and i was going to call it Libertys Legacy, after the model of car he drives
Im thinking that it should provide shots of freedom, what being independent turns out like and learning to do things for yourself
What do you guys think? Im thinking Vanishing Point cinematography pared with Gonzo style narration and
Sounds good. Go for it.

I don't know anything about you last paragraph, but the rest sounds pretty cool to me

Sounds good but how do you exactly imagine the biography of a car?

i meant to say the biography of a man with his car, and the relationship formed from purchase and how the depressed man has advanced the quality of his life just by taking on a new hobby

cool, im liking the feedback
I'd watch it

sweet, but im wondering how id end the film. I got the beginning and meat thought out, but wrapping up loose ends is going to be tricky for this film. I dont like open endings unless they end on a high note, but i dont want a cliche 'then he died' ending
Would the character find happiness just from his hobby or will life bite him on the ass? An America Beauty esque ending will be annoying to say the least where his enlightenment is cut short by a non compassionate person

how bout a "past the torch" ending, some people pass their cool cars to their sons

i like it. He sticks with the hobby and it eventually gets passed on to a close friend or family member post mortem after a lifetime of enjoyment. Its a bit of Gran Torino ending, but its still a nice way to end it, showing that the passion never dies, the car still has an impact and the sentimental value adds to the heartwarming ending.
Thats academy award shit anon
