ITT: aliens thread.. Do they exist
/x/
I hope so. I hope they find us with the knowledge of how rare and beautiful a planet like ours is and I hope they judge us. Intervene directly, or give our species a deadline to get out shit together, or just eliminate us altogether and let our planet go on, back to the way it should be, should have stayed.
>>675602180
Way more likely then God does
>>675602180
Do they exist?
>of course
Would they make contact with a subpar species (assuming they'd be using racing stripes on their hovercraft)
>no

aliens will probably eat humans

Yes, I mean they must, there's no way we're he only life in the universe
Given there's billions of galaxies each with billions of stars
Even if a small fraction of the stars in our galaxy has planets that support life, say 1%, that's still hundreds of thousands of worlds
I'd say the reason why we haven't made contact, the astronomical distances involved
That, or we're such assholes that they don't wanna know
I am an alim ask me something.
>>675602180
Life elsewhere in the universe? Almost certainly.
Intelligent life? Probably.
Aliens that look pretty much exactly like humans, visit us personally, and abduct people? You have to be an idiot to believe it.
Fuck off space niggers we're full
>>675605581
Except when life as we know it has its origin outside of planet earth. . .
>>675602180
yes they do exist
Do aliens troll /b/?
Flying saucers are actually time machines operated by humans from our future. Prove me wrong.
I want to believe

What else would we do on our free time?
can people see if im online on google plus?
like if they sent me a message on there can I view it and they not know or they not see im online?
please help aliens :(
AYYY LMAO!
OP, did you mean Aliens aa the film aliens, that are more than thousand years in advance with technology and moral thinking or aliens as something that has or only could develop the intelligence we have nowadays?
Nice topic, one anon had a good answer with the film aliens probably dont exist, but life, and thats also my opinion has a high chance.
But with such a big timespam of the universe, there are probably races that are developed and some tribes living in the woods.
If somebody is interested in something like this, Stargate Atlantis has an nice setting fitting into this whole question
>>675605660
This lmao.
Let's post games, tv shows and movies that secretly are about aliens! I'll start.

I don't see it as very far fetched at all. How is it any different than us collecting samples, cataloging and tagging other species?
We study chimps and apes, species we consider to be lesser. Why wouldn't a higher species do the same to us?
>>675602180
they could, do they, we (the public) have no clear proof, end of thread

I'm out btw.
those are all the ones with aliens that dont seem to be about aliens
This thread be dead in a few days
There are no aliens, go about your usual business. I am shutting this thread down.
THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE
I read something about if we do find life on Mars, we might have to back off to let it florish, perhaps by interfering with it, we'd be altering their progress so profoundly we could wipe out an entire species in the future.
Perhaps aliens are doing the same for us, waiting for us to progress enough to find them. The feeling of accomplishment is much greater when you do something for yourself rather than be given it for free.
Or maybe they're just antisocial cunts or don't even exist.

Ramirez is illegal alien
Four (roughly) notions:
1. aliens don't exist, either Fermi Paradox/ Holographic Universe etc/ one that is not according to classic science
2. aliens clearly exist in the vast of galaxies in the universe, but not near or in contact with human civilization. Maybe too far separated by distance, or maybe a possibility to actually use something like Wormholes or similar
3. aliens are around our solarsystem, if now only exploring, passing by or really observing human race from distance, possibility of having "stations" in the Sol system
4. heaviest of the conspiracies: contact with humans has been made, either unwilling like Roswell, or initiated contact from alien side (maybe after first Atomic bombs came up), "cooperating" with some (or explicitly
with US) governments, or the theory they have been around since thousand of years and/or the idea they created humans as hybrid from apes and extra terrestrial genomes
Thoughts?

Did someone say alien sexy time?
>>675606413
That's exactly it, it's too similar, it's not alien at all.
We assume they will be like us, but in reality, something truly alien would be unrecognizable
I work in intelligence... Aliens most likely exist, and we have a cataloguing system of where we have spotted consistent enough of anomalies, and to what percentage we can judge them as "strange" or possibly just happenstance. Most of the catalogue is 50/50, and what we're spotting could just be anomalies (because we really, really don't understand the universe yet, so it's difficult to classify certain anomalies as lifelike). However, there are some (1-5% range) that are truly distinctive, where we can judge them as having a high probability of being "alien" life. Low tier celestial objects and bodies may just be noteworthy. High tier objects and bodies have multiple classifications of anomalies, with a sense of consistency, etc, enough that we can say "Yeah, that's probably intelligence."
But there are a few kickers: We've never found two "high probability" areas that are close together. The only ones we've found that are "close" are actually quite isolated, because of the vastness of space. Out best guess, so far, is that simple life is very common, and intelligent life is exceedingly rare, because it requires a number of elements: 1) Time. Multi cellular life takes an absurd amount of time, versus simple life forms, 2) Environment, and 3) Consistency of environment.
So, long story short: Yes, intelligent life exists in the universe, we've spotted it and catalogued it, but no it does not seem to have made contact with us, or its neighbors. The downsides to this work is that our technology is primitive, we have only been able to scan an incredibly small slice of space, and the size of the universe is unknown. This is all WE know, and we have to submit to our own ignorance. How we observe the universe is noted in the attached picture. We have an enormous couple of blindspots.
It's funny when people ask: "Is there life in the universe?" without any thought that the Earth is teeming with life... and we're in the universe.
>>675605581
While you obviously dont believe in abductions/encounters you must set your mind free by accepting the possibility of a such thing, because we cant be sure if its Real or fake.

Asking "is there life in the universe" is an inherently stupid question. In theory, if life exists here, then it must exist elsewhere. As a species, we don't know what 95% of the universe is even made out of, so it's stupid to even ask such a question.
>>675602180
Its not a matter of whether they exist or not but when our governments will reveal them to us and how we work together in present and past. My guess as to why they have to keep it such a secret is because the evidence of other inelegant being in this universe would debunk multiple religions, and we all see how much people dedicate themselves to religion
>>675613624
Except its an actual plausible theory. Boy-o. What is life really? How can there be life without life first. Sure as hell cant create it.
>>675613778
Hey, I didn't ask the stupid question, I was just saying.
yes we do exist

"Intelligence worker" guy here. This is exactly it. Most sensitive materials are ranked by there ability to fuck with national security. Some things have to be kept secret because sharp changes in social dynamics means national security can be compromised.
The brutal truth is that most of the population, even of places that are "educated" like the United States, borders on retardation. They have selective intelligence. They know what they know, but are otherwise almost mentally retarded. A person may know cars up and down, or how to command, or how to be a doctor, but other than that compartmentalized intelligence, most people are very, very deficient. In second/third world countries it's essentially the entire population.
Around 90% of the United States' population, for example, borders on being retarded, and couldn't possibly handle sensitive info. They can't name countries, where they are, can't look objectively at anything, even their own country's history, are financially incompetent, etc.
What's neat to know: while being mentally compromised is an excuse for bad behaviors/lack of intellect, most people just straight up do not care to excel or to improve. HOWEVER, that is in and of itself a mental deficiency. For some strange reason, people write that off, like it doesn't count as a mental problem, but it is. Not wanting to improve, constantly learn, and make yourself better, regardless of station, is a learning disorder/mental deficiency.

>>675613631
Nope. Try again.
Betty Hill, one of the first people to encounter the aliums, kept one piece of information about them to herself. She's never revealed what that is, but I know. It's how they smell. They have a very peculiar smell, but strangely, it's incredibly similar to what was once a very common smell. It's a smell connected with other paranormal phenomena, too.

There is also one theory where it says that there are 3 alien species who are monitoring us. One is trying to get resources, one is trying to protect us to see us progress, and third one are so called reptilian, which are beings from other dimension that connect to some people through some energetic way, apparently the connection is somewhere on the back.
Ive got picture

Please elaborate more about what you do, and what anomalies you have observed that appear to be evidence of intelligent life.
>>675612394
What type of Intelligence would that be?
What kind of anomalies would you describe as lifelike? Are you talking about exoplanets, or what type of bodies to classify?
