I switched for practical reasons.

1. It's a hell of a lot cheaper. I mix my own liquid, which is easy as shit, and I chain-vape basically all day long. It costs me ~$10 a week to replace a nicotine fix that used to cost that much every 36 hours. If you factor in how much I've spent total including hardware, I've spent like ~$1000 over 20 months. Cigarettes would have cost me $3000 over that time at least..

2. You can do it in your house or apartment if you rent. Right around the time I started, my apartment complex went from being able to smoke inside, to not being allowed to smoke anywhere in the complex. To smoke a cig you have to go all the way out of the parking lot to the street, and it's a large complex. It's about 300 feet and down a flight of stairs, which sucks ass at 2am when you're comfy in your underwear watching a movie or browsing dank memes on /b/

The fact that it's far, far less unhealthy for you and totally customizable to however you enjoy it are just really nice perks.

I just got it 3 weeks ago and I'm lovin' it. When I started, 20W for a regulated device was hardcore. It's my first regulated since I stopped using my Vamo V3 a year and half ago. The only thing that pisses me off is every picture I see showed it coming with a black rubber sleeve, and mine came with a gross white translucent one.

For high power sigelei 100+/150 or iPV3. Both of those also have pretty good build quality

If you want absolute safety and idiot-proofness then a good quality DNA40 device is probably the way to go. I don't know what DNA40's are out now so I couldn't say which one.

Provari 3 can only do 20 watts, which is getting to be hilariously underpowered. Baby-mode atomizers are starting to come out designed for higher wattages than that.

I own 2 ipv3s both are still running strong. They have enough safty features that it wont fire if the build is unsafe or shorted also low battery protection so you wont kill the cells.. The bc box is still new to me but it is sturdy as hell no safety features fully unregulated. Ill usually run a build on my ipv for a while then put it on my unregulated box once im sure there is no issue with my builds.. Better safe than sorry

Most of the studies on vaping are pretty unfounded. For instance the most recent one I saw said that the mods cause 15x more carcinogens than cigarettes. This alarmed me, so I looked into the study. 1-2 drops of juice for 20 vape cycles at 75 watts on a build that requires juicing every 3 hits or so. Properly juiced the study would not have gotten its results. The study was designed in such a way as to achieve the desired results. It proves that burning cotton and inhaling the smoke, (because at this point it is indeed smoke), causes cancer. If someone were to put a move steak on a grill at 500 degrees Fahrenheit for like 3 hours you would prove that steaks cause cancer with the same logic. No sane person would find any enjoyment from 19 consecutive dry hits. No sane person would eat a steak that is burnt to that extent. I would actually love to see a study about if a properly used and maintained vaporizer causes issues. Unfortunately I have not come across one.
