Who is the best DJ??
I vote for Deadmau5 or Paul Van Dyk
Madeon as of late, I still go with deadmau5, he's the most consistent thus far (besides Tidal..)
but Madeon has some dank shit.
I wish I could still say Tiesto but man.. what the fuck happened to that dude.
Ok are we talking producer or DJ? There's a major distinction.
In terms of DJing, legends like Grandmaster Flash or experienced A Trak are very good skill wise
In therms of producing, I by far vote Savant
(In terms of actual live sets though I still vote Savant, or Porter Robinson).
Alvin Risk is dope af too
Well he's both, he can produce and DJ. However, I was under the impression that you meant strictly DJing type guy, not much production.
mau5 has fucking awesome sets, but from a technical standpoint, and even from himself, it takes about an hour to learn how to DJ like him
I cant find the link atm but he says so himself in an interview
Mau5 is actually exactly the person you want to rep then, since he's completely against the idea of this EDM scene idea you despise so much
He doesn't make typical EDM, and its not his fault he's put up there with all other famous EDM artists
Quit actin sophisticated with your underground, way long dead, techno bullshit
Haha, techno dead...I don't listen to music because it's 'cool' or the in thing. Americans wouldn't understand anyway, Europe is where it's at. Try Time Warp or Awakenings in DE and NL for the real techno fans.
I haven't really listened to deadmau5 in a while, but his production was/is really good. I've just kind of moved away from the electro sounding stuff and now prefer the heavier techno.
>mfw nobody said Gigi DAgostino.
He's a legend to me, mostly due to my childhood with his music everywhere. That shit made me music-addicted and I always listen to his tracks with pleasure.
confirmed OP is an uneducated faggot
I'm not even American
But I know that like trance, the type of techno i believe you're talking about is of an era long gone
It has gone stale, whereas I moved onto a wider variety of producers, some underground, some mainstream
But I do understand where you're coming from. It pains me to say I love electronica, and then people automatically inferring that I love big room house and trap
He's a producer, he makes music, that's how he got his name out. He only DJs live because outside of doing the crazy madeon-launchpad stuff, you can't perform electronic music live any other way.
Fuck that anti-drug pussy Deadmau5. "Oh yeah, I make electronic music, but I'm gonna hate on the people that enjoy it high" FUCK HIM. DUMBASS CANADIAN BITCH. Aphex Twin 4 Life
Mau5 fucking hates it when he sees little kids being carried away in a stretcher in his shows
As would any sensible performer I'd say
There's a fine line between hating the way people enhance their musical experience, and hating when your music is responsible and the reason little molly popping fucking irresponsible idiots destroy their health
La danza delle streghee! non so se sei un b8 ma ti amo lo stesso.
I saw tiesto late last year.
Did 2 pills and a gram of speed in anticipation. The guy was sloppy as fuck, and almost killed me a few times.
>didn't cut the bass on one track while the other was mixing in
Speakers were crackling, my heart was almost jumping out of my chest
>end of the mix
>lowers the BPM on the mixout of the tune as low as it gets
Heart almost stops
>slowly raises the BPM to the maximum his decks allow
Heart picks up
I almost have a heart attack
Never, ever again
no dude, lmfao sucks balls.
if you've never seen a diplo dj set, you don't understand what a dj is.
but if you don't like hip hop, reggae, or miami bass you won't be into it- in which case bummer for u
