>>610042904
Ok so not flawless but definitely God-Tier in its own right.
Not bein a fag or pretentious but i tripped the dicks out to this double album one night and it was fuckin bonkers.
Listening sober: I definitely feel every individual groove of all the players. its like each song is just multiple players grooving to thier own thing but they all mesh and coagulate into this over-arcing groove / weird / vibin tempo that you kinda understand after a few listens
im hi adf

Nice trips
>>610045027
Before you die anon, godspeed
>>610045184
Fuckin' aye.
Some of his best songs are scattered throughout other albums - and he's done some other really fantastic albums.
But, Rain Dogs, I keep coming back.
>>610045385
...and pretty much everything else he did.
>>610045385
Not much of a rock music fan. I mainly listen to electronic music(I posted Porter Robinson and Madeon in this thread) but this is actually really good. The fucking drums man.
>>610045616
Agreed. Bone Machine is pretty godly, as well.
>>610046206
Dude really loved that kitchen knife. Hugged it deep.
>>610046361
Totally agree.
Frank's Wild Years
Mule Variations
Heartattack & Vine also get honourable mentions.
i had no idea /b/ was so full of fucking hipsters
all of your music is shit
>>610046930
Have an open mind and give some if it a chance. I'm going through this thread and discovering new shit I'd never heard before and I'm liking some if it.

Danny Carey is in my top five favorite drummers of all time. Bangs the hell out of them but really knows what the fuck he's doing
>>610046930
More to your taste, Anon?
Anyone?
>>610046489
I have a feeling Jennifer stabbed him first, then he stabbed himself the second time.
>>610046930
Go to /mu/, then see if you can say the same about us.
>>610039684
Californication.
>>610047166
i'd post, but you probably never heard of them
*adjusts hipster glasses*
>>610047385
I'll look into him. One of my friends listens to rock music but more mainstream (Foo Fighters/The White Stripes). She's obsessed with Dave Grohl. Do you think he's a good drummer?
Like Tool but better

Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) and Ronnie James Dio (Black Sabbath, Dio) at the very best of their careers. "Stargazer" is particularly amazing. List to it now.
>>610047666
I really don't have a theory on it. I was just making a poor taste joke... because 4chan.
This
>>610047935
I think his drumming post-Nirvana is more interesting. So like Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures and stuff. He's not a particularly great drummer in general, but he's prolific as fuck as a songwriter and a great musician overall. So... sort of.
>>610047815
I'd tell you to fuck off but probably you're already a top some meat road
>>610047575
Been meaning to listen to some Animal Collective for a while now, it's interesting thus far.
Reminds me a little of Arkon//Family?
>>610047575
absofuckinglutely. Saw them live shortly after this album came out.
>>610048064
Confirmed: Pickelback fan.

>>610048625
That said, I do really like Smith. Specifically Figure 8.
Do you like the new Sufjan album?
>>610048378
Oh yea Them Crooked Vultures, she showed me them. I liked "No One Loves Me & Neither Do I".
>>610049079
Well, shit, if we're just gonna post obvious ones...
>>610048170
I've heard the album. Just didn't come to me instantly.

>>610049166
Have you noticed that Brock makes a lot of lyrical references to Listerine?
I wonder if he's sponsored...
>>610049401
IMO, their only great album.
Which is a real shame, cos I fucking love this album. Each album after, was shittier than the last.
>>610044818
Led Zep 3 and 4 are better
>>610041612

>>610051185
Bold statement - I think strangers is better than good news.
Fucking 10/10 album right here /b/ros
>>610041951
Niadra Lades and Usually Just a T-Shirt was far better.
>>610050742
Yeah, honestly I think that's where this comes in. I think it has everything I want.
>>610051616
I haven't listened to it yet.
Lampshade didn't catch my attention much.
I'll listen to it sooner or later.
>>610044830
I want a tshirt with this on it but then I would just look like a terrorist.
>>610051353
During Christmas it's nice.
>>610051829

>>610051983
Have you heard it? It's absofuckinglutely incredible.
Be warned, it takes patience.
Turn the lights out, stop whatever else you're doing, and listen to it fucking LOUD.
>>610052476
Was about to post this. Unpopular choice but musically I raised myself on this album so to me it's unbeatable by anything ever.
>>610052648
Cave fistbumped me at a concert once.
>>610052775
come on.
>>610048170
Mah nigga. This album is so damn good. Funky and makes you want to dance like an idiot.
>This album tho
>>610040755
Not sure anyone else is feeling my picks, but I'm glad to hear another anon has good taste, any recommendations for me?
this
>>610052847
you lucky bastard
>>610052697
yeah it's for sure I've listened to it it's in my top 5 favourite albums. I think LYSF is better but only barely.
>>610052775
Yeah man, me too. This shit was fucking awesome when it came out. I was only 9 and i worshipped it. I couldn't listen to anything else. Still listen to it the most out of all GD albums.
>>610052886
fuck off.
>>610053022
Warren Ellis is actually my favourite member of the band.
I'd trade it for a bump with Ellis, if I could.
>>610052476
This album was 6th fucking grade dude. It was awesome back then. When I started getting into music seriously, Dookie is the highlight dude.
>>610052886
This guy can screw off.
G.K.M.C. (DELUXE ALBUM) KENDRICK "KDOT" LAMAR
His name is Alive- Detrola
>>610053084
I've deliberated over that for much longer than I should have.
SRFNZK wins for me, because it's more consistent.
>>610047553
There is literally nothing wrong with Nickelback
>>610052648
nice
>>610050451
Fuck yeah motherfucker
>>610039684
>>610051611
Nice try Taylor
>>610053554
yeah it is but I think every album has something great and unique about it. SRFNZC is the most consistent and cohesive album. LYSF is the most emotional for me f#a#infinity is probably the most atmospheric.
>>610052243
I second this.
>>610050596
My negroid
>>610052476
Go home, child.
>>610053715
Nickelback aren't the worst band in the world, by any stretch.
They're the posterboys for undeserved success, and consistent mediocrity.
They're pretty shit, but they can carry a tune.
They're on par in talent with that sad, 43 year old, washed up dude you see playing open mic nights at your local pub.
There is a market for them - and that's fine. It just happens that the fast majority of people who enjoy Nickelback have no interest in musical nuance.
Listening to Nickelback is the musical equivalent of saying "I don't like that Game Of Thrones. I can't remember all the character's names. I'll just watch Masterchef."
Yes, you're a simpleton, but at least you're not watching Dr. Oz
>>610054199
>This guy...he knows.
But seriously tho...
>>610039684
>>610054075
I agree with everything you said.
