Coming from a guy who has had his fair share of experience with counterfeit cash I would suggest you:
Wait until it's summer/holiday season etc. Travel to a shit country like Greece or Bulgaria or some shit, preferably in the peak of summer season. Roam from currency exchanger to currency exchanger cashing out your bills. Most of the time, especially in the summer they hire young, untrained and unaware personnel to work there. Have a little chit-chat and you may as well exchange £100-200 at best in a one transaction.
I would also suggest you exchange a REAL x3-4 £10 notes first, after which you can return after 10-20 minutes with more of the FAKE one's .So the guy/girl at the exchanger would've remembered you and it won't cause suspicion.
