holy shit something other than a trap roll or loli thread
>16 year old me
>see big fish
>follow it calmly
>see a fucking saltwater turtle
>proceed to follow it cause they are fucking beautiful
>realize i am so deep in I can't even see the bottom
>lose my shit, swim back to boat
never been so fucking scared, even though I'm really familiar with the sea
Oh yeah, context: Blue Springs vent in Orange City Florida that 12 people died in.
oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck OH FUCK FUCK YOU
This one isnt real. Or at least I really doubt it. I am a marine science major and this is a basking shark. Found really deep, also, they don't have teeth and couldn't be a threat to humans.
thats not what im pointing out....so yea...you're stupid
This is how big these eels can grow too
Greekfag here, cool word you borrowed there.
Shut up with that filthy pig latin.
DO IT FGT
>not getting quads
your parents must be proud of you
that's not an eel. It's an oarfish.
eels don't get that big.
niggas its obviously Haku
That file name is retarded as hell, you can clearly see the line of wire attached to the person which they use to find their way back out.
got fucked harder than you greeks fuck each other
>Snorkeling in the keys
>looking at pretty fish
>brother is waving at me with both arms underwater about twenty feet away, trying to get my attention
>I see him and surface to hear what he wants
>He just yells, look down bitch
>There is a 10 foot long nurse shark swimming about 15 feet below me
But I'm not a little bitch like you fags so I was fine.
you could at least show some grace and speak German or English
we paid for it ffs
yeah, you should rename it
No one has posted this yet?
That shit's horrifying
I dont understand all the people posting deep creatures/big shark/whales pics...they have nothing to do with thalassophobia.
What triggers us is not what is there in the deep, is the depth itself, and not knowing what it might be hiding behind that short visibility.
In a pic with a deep sea creature in a wide deep blue ocean...the creature doesnt trigger me at all, the empty and seeminglu endless enviroment does.
Not as much as others with thalassophobia.
But if i look straight up in the sky, i feel a bit disoriented(definitely much more than people without this fear), and i quickly need to stop looking,.
this is Thalassophobia
this is not
the deep, dark abyss... the unknown... this is what makes people with Thalassophobia shit their pants. these gifs and pics of fish from the deep won't do anything other than "hey thats a funny lookin worm"
are we just going to ignore this blatant bestiality?
That's why I love the sea monster stuff.
Because that's what hits my imagination when I look at the abyss.
That it can see me, but I'm blind to it.
I get off to both.
But I love the monsters, personally.
gotta make a request. there was video game i think where you were exploring under the sea with sonar. in this webm you see what looks like a battleship, but it's really a giant ass crab thing.
I'll add something to the things i said...
What also triggers some of us(I know it triggers me for sure) is big ass images of deep space.
Biggest triggering moment i ever experienced is trying Space Engine without thinking it would trigger.
Cant even immagine how i'd feel if i were to try it now that it has Oculus Rift support.
I had glitch in GTA online that made my character walk along the ocean floor like the water wasn't there, didn't have to worry about the breathing either. It was really cool because I got to explore the ship wrecks and stuff, but I was afraid to go too far into the ocean. Found huge rocks and steep drops that seemed difficult to climb back up. No one wants to log in again, right?
THIS NIGGER JUST GOT FUCKING TOLD GODDAMN
Now, imagine you're swimming near the left boat, when suddenly you can't see the bottom anymore and you realize you're above a big fucking hole in the ocean.
Just picture this in your head!
Pic very related!
I can't picture that in my head.
With thalassophobia there's not even the chance to put yourself in such a situation on your own.
The fear would trigger way before i'm even 300ft from that thing.
Oh, so you're triggered by the word trigger and its derivates just because triggered tumblerfags took the word triggered, a word commonly used in phobias, and overused it to petend to be triggered so they can post about being triggered by faggotry?
Triggered, just to say it once more.
