Suggest me movies similar to Cube. Movies about people stuck in a location trying to figure things out. Leaning toward psychological thrillers. I've seen a lot of this genre I want to see if you guys can list anything I haven't seen.
I would also be interested in knowing more of these too
You've probably seen this already too but was worth watching atleast once.
EXAM is better than CUBE
So good. Such a good premise. People in room lost memory, slowly memory starts coming back, some of the people are the ones who trapped them in the first place. Lots of bluffing.
Not sure if this counts or fits your parameters:
Outpost 11: a weird, low budget british movie about three soldiers stuck in a remote post in the middle of Antarctica that suddenly receive a weird transmission from the outside world and try to figure out what the hell is/has been going on all along.
I'm not saying it's good, but it's definitely something different...
Damn good indie zombie flick... don't want to ruin it for ya but you'll understand why i suggested it once you watch it.
too lazy to grab the youtube trailer link for ya.....i'm kind of sorry.
This is another suggestion:
Apollo 13 all meet the criteria
There was this one movie where a soldier was stuck laying on a landmine but I forgot what it's called.
If you want ones with traps check out the Collector.
Not stuck in a location exactly but still somewhat related.
For the elite this is level hard no cheat codes available:
Cube Zero was way better than this one.
I didn't have high hopes for this movie but I ended up loving the shit out of it
what was the movie where there were people that were, iirc, applying for a position. they were put in a room. told there was only one question. They ended up killing eachother.... This ring any bells for anyone?
Deathwatch 2002 with Jamie Bell and Andy Serkis Britich soldiers stuck in a trench during WW1
Bunker 2001 German soldiers stuck in a bunker during WW2
>Movies about people stuck in a location trying to figure things out. Leaning toward psychological thrillers
I can't think of a movie that fits that description better than The Thing. It's one of the best if not the best psychological thriller ever.
Vahalla Rising, its like a viking Apokolips Now. Deff fits your theem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GIdDy-8tgg
The second movie harmed my sexuality. I wanted to recreate the sex scene of the girl with the red dress with my step-grandma(which she is a milf) And I used to go to her room at night and touch her pussy and tits.
Its one of my favorites but it would be most psychological if you never saw the monster, just people disappearing and leaving behind bloody clothes, no one trusting the others, attacking the others out if fear
Nine Dead (2010)
Communication is the key for the survival of nine strangers who have been kidnapped by a masked gunman and told that one of them will die every ten minutes until they discover why they are there.
It's better that you seem them while having no idea who's turned and who's not. For most of them you still have no idea exactly when they turned.
And that end though. Were Childs and Mac turned? Were they just too exhausted to kill each other?
Not as good as any of the Cube films, but a similar premise.
This. Awesome movie. I don't know how you feel about subtitles though.
Im not disagreeing, the thing itself is why I love it so much but sometimes what you dont see is scarier.
Also that type of ending, the kind where you do not know how its ends is a literary technique first used in a short story "the lady or the tiger" in 1884
I remember when this came out, everyone was talking about it like it was some godlike fking piece of art, don't get me wrong, its a good movie, but it was so fking overrated at the time, worth the watch though
Seriously? No one else? I thought this place loved japanese shit.
--------------------- SPOILER ALERT --------------------
I have not seen a 'time travel' movie that contains a complex stable loop like Triangle ever before. The different iterations of the loop interact and interfere and there is an accumulation and accretion in the environment as the loops swirl and try to find stability.
This movie was fucking brilliant, and its shortcomings as far as somewhat predictable character behavior/motivations are completely forgivable given its intelligent and creative approach to its subject matter.
I suspect you are either trolling or completely missed the not-even-subtle subtleties and philosophical ramifications.
Dude, watch it again.
1st half of the movie - good
2nd half of the movie - teribbad
eh nvm ill prob figure it out. i originally watched the german version of the experiment without knowing anything they were saying and it was still great and made sense. but still thanks anon. sorry for my autisim
Does not fit OP criteria
Stil, amazing mindfuck Movie: the first time I watched i was convinced on how it worked and had no confusion. Watched again, got confused and no clue what happened, whatched again, still no clue
Why no one mention this yet?
God tier amongst these specific type movies.
my cousin had a bootleg copy. this was years ago. and they speak fluent german so they didnt need subs. so i watched it without. ive seen the remake. tbh i liked the german one better. but both were very good.
Woman in black
Shittiest horror of all time god tier shit movie, shittin of fucking jumoscares, just that, jumpscares
I don't ussually judge people on their movie taste but woman in black eas utter shit, more cancerous than all /b/ullshiz combined
this movie was pretty good. production is a bit low in places but overall i liked it
This was a pretty lame movie to be honest. Really cliché ending, basic-ass characters. The only interesting one of the lot was the nigger who slowly went batshit.
Plus, Mike Hammer is in it, killing all chance for intrigue for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnFPNpFBT28
yeah but if LITTERALLY all you could do is touch babydicks, im sure you would too. lol. reminds me of when i first learned to play videogames, hitting all the buttons to figure out what each one did. this is definitely intriguing, as im sure almost everyone would be doing the same shit he is.
Survive Style 5+ is great in that style too.
alright sir. i bookmarked that. lol. anyways OP you might like the movie "nine dead" its got the chick that played sabrina the teenage witch. but still its a great movie with a really good twist. its one of the those movies where you try to figure out why these people are brought together. i highly recommend. i believe its still on netflix. its not as funny or weird as this, but still good.
Oh, and I got the Machine Girl on dvd, and it comes with this lovely bonus disc with this featurette in which the main character's best friend has a machine gun that comes out of her butt when she's embarassed. Gotta love japan.
