10/10 Movies /b/
Wolf of the wall street was bretty 10/10 to me
watched this last night
One of my top 10 of all time.
very good movie
This movie is so fucking based. Saw it on opening night, seen it three times in total.
The movie is like an American Dream success story with a sociopath as the protagonist. It's pretty fucked up, just how far he goes.
Been meaning to watch this one. Haven't got around to it yet.
Also personal 10/10
It's great depending on what kind of films you're into. If you're someone who's adamant that the Fast & Furious series was the best thing ever conceived then you're probably not going to enjoy this all that much. It's got massive replay value and the cast is on point. Then again I've never seen a David Fincher film I didn't think was based as fuck so I'm probably a little biased.
quite new movie named John wick in my opinion at least 9/10
One of my favorites, wont be as good if you know about the twist tho
garbage movie......if u think 10/10 then u should stop watching movies now cause u have no idea what ur looking at....jesus christ cant believe i seen that on here.....go american sniper urself in the face and take every copy of that garbage film with you....i do it for my country
The movie that got me into films; not an easy one. Did not understand much.
But it was a great film, you cant deny that. Really important to film history imo
Koreans make some fucking great films
>that 10/10 night club scene
one of the few animated movies that can be called 10/10
and The Incredibles
Haven't seen I Saw The Devil. Seen a lot about it though guess I should watch it. The Chaser was fantastic. Have you seen Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance? I saw it last night, extremely heavy movie
Another 10/10 animated movie.
so much this. and how he casuallie shots everyone in the head, i fucking love the style of this movie
terrible movie, one of scorseses weakst imo
need to stop making movies with dicaprio
top 10 right here tho, remember reading the book wiseguy thought it was great and years later i saw the movie. loved it. one of the best.
i am not a big Cage fan but he killed it in this movie.
>one of scorseses weakest
I wouldn't go that far. certainly not one of his best that's only because he's made so many great ones. But far from his weakest. I thought it was ok. the performances by DiCaprio and Jonah Hill were also spectacular. DiCaprio always gives top notch performances. it's ridiculous that he doesn't have an oscar yet.
As far as Scorsese's weakest I would say After Hours in my opinion but it was still enjoyable.
the manga is better
seriously though, the movie covers 3 of the 6 books
>my anime vote
Also, nobody mentioned SE7EN yet, that movie was sweet.
If you don't know the story before watching it's even better.
ryan gosling as the terminator
the car blows up. end of story. 10/10.
and the inevitable film adaptation of this is seriously a 10/10 because the show is an 11, easy.
fucking kill yourself already nigger
nah, it's more of the same, it gets more bizarre though. if you didn't wanna keep watching after 20 minutes you probably won't like the rest.
Try Mulholland Drive instead.
although in my opinion Inland Empire is Lynch's best. total mindfuck from beginning to end. it's not for everyone though.
this is not a book thread. Its a movie thread. We do not care if the book was better, we are discussing the movie.
And if you are doing it to be funny or to "troll" then stop please.
You took what was a good thread and are in the process of ruining it trying to be funny.
I will be honest. I thought the acting was really good and it was good put together.
But I did not understand shit and I actually god a little bored eventho I love david lynchs stuff, Eraserhead is my favorite.
Can you please tell my why you like it so much tho?
what y'all think of this movie?
i've been a huge fan of Lynch since I watched Eraserhead, which was the first Lynch movie for me. Mulholland Drive was my favorite before I watched Inland Empire. Lynch is a master of unsettling atmospheres and feelings of dread. Everything I loved and filled me with anxious suspense about Mulholland is present in Inland Empire tenfold. to the point that by the end I felt like my mind was fucking haunted. no other Lynch movie left me feeling so fucked up, or any movie for that matter, except maybe Synechdoche New York, but that was more depressing than unsettling.
the hindu version is better...
An accurate portrayal of the challenges facing the African American youth in post industrial recession-era America
well if you like Blue Velvet and Mulholland I don't see why you couldn't get into Inland Empire. there are alot of parallels between them.
Also it helps that I was a big fan of Laura Dern. especially in Inland Empire. her performance was spectacular as always, and haunting.
I guess to sum it up I love Inland Empire for the feeling of dread it instills in me.
like a waking nightmare. the atmosphere alone.
I'm gonna watch Sunset Boulevard soon because of this
Also, soundtrack is GOAT
it's hard to boil synechdoche down to a nutshell, but i thought the whole movie was about death. my friend's dad thought it was completely about life. and our hour long debate led me to believe it's actually about you the viewer as you watch it. the entire film depends on your personal connections and ability to emotionally relate to a pretty trippy metaphoric sequence of non-linear imagery.
>inb4 muh overrated and boring
it's a fucking 10/10 masterpiece
Agreed, was tough keeping up with the subtitles but I'd say its a must watch!
Watched this after an anon recommended it, and, amazingly enough, the anon was right.
It's about a dude who works alone for a mining company on the moon, and some shit goes down....shit goes down bad.
Good movie. Sad, but good nonetheless.
best of the Vengeance trilogy reporting
Kubrick is one of the most overrated directors. 2001: Space Odyssey and Full Metal Jacket (except the firs half of the movie) are pieces of shit , the only decent movie of his is the Clockwork Orange
lol. it always amazes me how someone can be this pleb. then I remind myself im on /b/
I mean the first one with Donnie Yen, the second wasn´t that good... But I am especially happy for that movie because it shows how the Wing Tsun really looks like, without any eyecatching kung fu wire scenes
I figured he must've been trolling since he said 2001 was a piece of shit.
and if he wasn't it's even funnier.
Its symbolism was to in your face.
"Take of your mask and see what the world is really saying to you, and what they are shoving down your throats"
best parts of that movie were his cheesy one liners...like..."I have come here to chew bubblegum and kicks ass, and im all out of bubblegum."
i guess it just had no subtlety to it and horrible acting
2001 is huge piece of shit. I couldn´t keep watching after half of the movie, because I almost fell asleep couple of times. The only way how to watch this movie for me it would be to get high as fuck
