She used to run that shit outside. When she was ten she disappeared for a week or so, came back with an ear that was looked like a little balloon. The vet said it was from getting ear mites from another cat and then shaking her head because they itch. Shook so hard she popped a vessel in her ear and it swelled up a LOT. They drained it but the ear still healed all weird.

Believe me, my father's cat just produced a 2000€ vet bill AFTER the first vet did NOT extract the ill teeth, everything got worse, and a second vet had to fight a mean infection AND extract the teeth (cat was hospitalized for a week, hence the big bill).

Extracting all teeth should be possible for ~200 bucks. And the problem WILL be gone afterwards.

OP, for the future, there are vet clinics that offer pet health insurance. For a down payment (usually $80) you can select a package that suits your needs of the animals. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs and each one of them has this health insurance which I pay about $200 every 6 months for. Completely worth it since 95% of everything is covered.

Who I responded to said hunters were bad. Most actual hunters I know of don't hunt for sport. Very few do, and the few I know that do use a local donation program to donate the meat to feed the homeless.
What those vegans faggots on /out/ don't understand is hunters, through licensing fees, and taxes on certain goods like ammo and fishing supplies, pays for the large majority of wildlife funding to keep and preserve our natural habitats here in the US.
We like our ability to be able to go out in nature and enjoy all it's bounties - we don't fuck it up like most cityfolk do.

In my country there is pet health insurance too, but the older the animal, the more you pay to get here in. my cat is 20 years old and developed epilepsy and a small tumor which increases some shit in her hormons (nothing too bad) I paid about 1500-2000 in vet costs and now about 40-50€ every month or 2 for medics. Still worth it

thats what we did and it was the best decision we've made to date. all 5 animals perfectly healthy, routine check ups, the works. the peace of mind of having the insurance is worth all the money spent.
