shoplifting is too easy its kinda ridiculous
>>
>>592746754
ive walked out with over $150 worth of merchandise at one time.
>>
Go to Walmart. Act like you are shopping. Fill cart. Leave. Easy as shit. Also automotive exits. Garden center exits. Or just leave when a huge group of people leave. Recyclable bags work wonders here ha.
>>
>>592746823
Thousands for me. Years ago tho.
>>
Recommenting my idea to get the thread going again.
Would it work to stuff things into the inside pocket of something heavy like a winter coat and just pay for the coat and get the stuff in the pocket? Then you return the coat the next day and you now have free stuff.
>>
>>592746966
Story?
>>
>>592747025
No, most of the time the jackets are moved around a ton and the likelihood of something to fall out is too high.

Think risk vs reward
>>
>>592746966
What'd you take anon? for me it was

>otterbox case for a friends iphone
>64gb microSD card
>HDMI -> micro / mini HDMI for my computer
>a knife i had my eye on

so really around $200 was the most ive taken at once, maybe around $1000 over my years
>>
>>592746754
people who get caught are the ones who over complicate it.

>>592746823
Impressive. Ive pushed something like 2-300$ but it was paint and art supplies when I was into graffitti so eh, not really that useful as most the cans were ditched after a bomb and were half full still.

>>592747025
yes, though you couldnt return the coat at most stores. Walmarts only do exchanges from my experience.

>>592746966
any chance you could share the story without incriminating yourself?

although I dont worry about it, nobody here is talking about felony crimes.
>>
Well rounded tip - Don't carry the item ANYWHERE out of its directory. The first thing people think is a shoplifter. Just perfect your slight of hand and speed.
>>
>>592747200
Most jackets I've seen have zipper pockets on the inside. Slide something not obvious in there, zip it up and it should work. A lot of effort for not much reward, though.
>>
>>592747392
what do you mean? like dont take a SD card to the drink section?
>>
Any tips for finding a fence / being a fence?

>>592747392
great advice and I wouldnt have thought of it.

>>592747491
dont take an SD card away from the other SD cards unless you have shit in your cart already.
>>
>>592747459
Sorry, living in a place where heavy jackets aren't common, I was just assuming you mean something like an open pocket on the inside
>>
>>592747574
Fencing is bullshit. Don't worry about them.

Be smart about the time from when you take to the time when you sell because thats how people get caught.
>>
>>592747392
If someone is doing it in Walmart or something, stuff goes to every section all the time.

was at a car yard where you can buy parts cheap but you have to bring your own tools and remove them
>get a big ass toyota door
>remove the door trim
>fill the empty door skeleton with starter motors, steering wheels, and tiny little parts they charge shit loads for
>put the door trim back on
>carry the world's heaviest door to the counter and pay $40 for $700 worth of parts

if you fuck up and they catch you, you're banned for life. I don't risk it anymore.
>>
>>592748014
Never thought of that. It is risky but they charge huge prices for shit.
>>

Did it a couple more times then stopped because figured we would get caught eventually and it was usually a lot of stuff. Also I was raised better than that.
>>
My story is my friend (yes he's a nigger) would walk into walmarts and go straight for the electronics section.
He'd grab game controllers (wii remotes were pretty good at the time) and put them into his shopping bag, and walk out like he bought them.
The scanners at the walmarts we went to just didn't work apparently because they've never gone off.
After that I'd drive him to a gamestop parking lot.
Gamestop wont buy items from you brand new and we tried making it look at least slightly worn.
We'd trade it for cash and repeat going to different walmarts and gamestops over the course of a month.
Probably stole around 1200$ worth of stuff in total and cashed it all in.

The only thing I could say I enjoyed was my free gas.
>>
anyone know if tinfoil works? im watching a doc. and ive heard tinfoil works enough to block the signal so the alarms at the door dont go off if you have any items with tags
>>
>>592748295
anything below $50 about 3 weeks. Double it for every extra $20

>>592748541
dude Ive done the EXACT same thing with my friend who is a nigger at heart but actually white. Ive been involved in a lot of crime with him.

Ive been on probation 3 times so I dont know if I'll ever directly involve myself with crime again but im definitely not against the planning / advising of crimes / criminals.
>>
>>592748295
>huh, interesting idea.
i was taught it by a meth fiend who died of IV overdose last year. I'm not about that life anymore. I guess clever people think they're invincible.

>probation 3 times
who the fuck would want your advice?
>>
>>592748442
you ballsy motherfucker... i always thought walking in with a backpack would be too much, but heres a small story, greentexted ofcourse

>stay after school with a friend because freshman year
>had no car and no one to give me a ride
>have to ride the "activity bus" after schools that shows up at 5:00pm
>we get dropped off at walmart
>go in with a friend, we both had our backpacks
>steal a shitton of gum, 3 packs at a time
(they sell them in packages with 3 packs of gum in them)
>we would steal like 3-5 of these motherfuckers everyday
>had so much gum
>was the king of 9th grade

nah, that last line was bullshit, but we would actually sell packs of gum to kids for MORE than what the store sold and people bought it like the stupid shits they were.. was nice for awhile, still havent been caught but ive had a moment or two that was close.
>>
>>592748910
Juvenile probation, 2 of which were from fighting. I havent been on probation as an adult.
>>
>>592749016
youre still stealing gum or youre still in 9th grade or both?

this has to be troll
>>
Anyone ever stolen from gamestop? The computer games and controllers is what I'm after. Have a good racket in mind and I plan to donate some of my profits to charity because personal reasons.
>>
>>592747601
It's fine. I guess the consensus is it's possible but not worth the time.

My family has worked in retail for a shared close to 100 years, so I will contribute some:
The spider tags that they place on certain items over a certain price point don't set off the alarm when you walk out the door. They only go off if you break the actual wire. So you could take electronics back home and disable the tags (forcefully) once you get somewhere safe. Just be careful for ink because some have it in them.

However, if the product has a spider AND a magnetic strip, it'll still set off the alarms.
>>
>>592749133
right. I expect that you solve your arguments in different ways now?

give me an example of shit you've. idc if ur involved or not, i just want to read some robbery porn.
>>
why dont you niggers get jobs instead of stealing consumer goods which just makes it more expensive for everybody else. at least sell drugs or something instead.

this is from when i was in 9th grade, we were some dumb nignogs

>>
>>592749313
is there a reason you cant get controllers from walmart? A friend has sold hundreds of controllers to various gamestops in my area. Doesnt turn a huge profit but its 100% profit none the less.

care to share your idea with the other lowly scum of /b/?

>>
>>592749902
why not get one of the tools anons posted in the last thread to pop the security devices off?
>>
>>592749454
When i worked part time in high school, i made 400$ bi weekly

then i started stealing regularly. Started small with just doing cash returns when no one was looking, for items that were pretty common. Ex a small hand tool set for $25. Did this 2 times per shift, an extra $50 in cash for the day.

Once i stole a $400 power inverter, and returned it to our store in a town over. Made my two-weeks pay in one day felt nice. Working is a nice honest way for money and all, but being overworked for ~$9 an hour gets tiring.
>>
>>592749902
While I can't say for sure, my assumption would be yes if you did it just right. People use tinfoil to reflect higher frequency waves (infrared, cook an egg in your backyard experiment). But I don't know if that reflects completely or partially (partially can still get you caught).
>>
>>592749902
I wouldn't trust anything with those tags on them.
>>
>>592750187
i was jw, these are mostly for "boosters" the fuckers literally just DUMP a ton of shit in their bag regardless if it has a strip on it or not>>592750291
>>592750360
>>
>>592749644
Not really. But I'm thinking the size of Walmart vs gamestop. Quicker door access. I'm not a bitch, but I'd prefer not to run and snatch shit.

See, right now my controller is fucked.
Steal one box and all, switcheroo with my shit one, but leave a VERY small identifier on the box.
I should note the controller is internally fucked.
Okay so I have a stolen good and a purchased shit one.

In my town our clerks are mostly dumbfuck Mexicans. I can easily lie.
Then simply with my identify, resteal and return in an infinite loop.
It should be dually noted that I am an idiot and this is probably implausible.
>>
At the Walmart near my place they still sell controllers. Xbox, PS, and Wii. All I do is go into the self checkout when no one is there guarding the screens and put it on the demagnetization area next to the scanner and then pay for the bag of chips I have an walk out no problem!
>>
>>592750286
The working man's a sucker.
>>
>>592750522
well, if you steal from the same store you sell too its kindof redundant because you hand the people your ID every time you sell them something.

This doesnt mean just go to a different gamestop. Maybe a different store all together. Also simplify it to just stealing and then selling and youre golden.

You wont get but maybe 5$ a controller though. Also depends on how many controllers they have in stock and what kind of controller it is.
>>
>>592749902
Use aluminum foil. Real aluminum, not that tin shit. Make a box and place the merchandise in the box. You'll be making a mini faraday cage pretty much.
>>
>>592750139
so if someone stole i dunno, your bicycle or xbox, you iphone? wouldn't you be pissed. its your property, not theirs. same concept even if its from a store. meh, its your conscience not mine...
>>
>>592751130
I could care less about the feelings of someone who has 5 0's in their salary i.e the only person being affected by shoplifting.

this thread isnt just about shoplifting though guys. Give the textfiles link a browse, theres some crazy useful shit in there. Pyramid schemes, fraud, gambling rings, all kinds of shit.
>>
>>592751451
i guess.....i dunno, theft just bugs the fuck out of me growing up with a small family business. feel free to illegally gamble, sell drugs or try and bamboozle people on the phone, just dont steal shit people work hard for....
>>
>>592751130
A store is a corporation, a bureaucracy, an artificial entity and most of the time not a very nice one. More stores waste than they lose from stealing. When you steal from an individual you are hurting them. When you steal from a corporation everyone still gets paid. I don't see how people have sympathy for corporations that pay poverty wages.
>>
>>592751733
I'm the same way with music piracy. Not shoplifting, not movie piracy, but just music. People won't pay $0.99 for a song they'll listen to over and over again, but they will go buy a cup of coffee that they'll only use once. I don't know why that bugs the shit out of me. It really shouldn't! But it does for some reason.
>>
>>592751130
There's a difference between stealing personal property and stealing from stores who write off losses in their overhead and take it into account with their pricing.
And before you say it's people who steal shit that cause the pricing to be so jacked up in the first place, regardless of actual theft, there will always be "projected" losses from theft and the price raise will still be there. The real robbery is charging fuckloads of money to working men like us (I've never stolen anything in my life, although I'd like to) who have to spend the rest of our paychecks for basics in life rather than putting it into college savings for our kids or investments.
>>
Wear baggy pants. Use rope to tie your pants off at both ankles and hide the rope with the pants baggage. Go with a partner into the store. They take the things you want to steal. After five minutes you go to the bathroom and he follows. You put the stuff in your pants and split. They try to stop him but will turn up empty. LOL Works, trust me.
>>
>>592748442
>Also I was raised better than that.
Clearly not.
>>
>>592752094
MP3s aren't tangible and music isn't consumed directly. The people who will actually buy the CDs are still buying them. Also, $.99/song ($1.29 for popular songs) is a ridiculous price to pay. I have no problem supporting artists who I believe are actually producing quality pieces of work that they genuinely care about. If I paid for every song I owned, I'd be close to $90,000 down.
>>
>>592752004
its just the concept. does it belong to you? no. does it belong to somebody else? yes. so what right do you have to take it? none....whats the point of obeying some laws and disregarding the rest. its like cheating on an exam. shrug, do what you like.

My first big lift was a nice A/V receiver from a Wally World. I'd picked up tons of food and blu-rays from there before, but nothing worth more than $20-$30 at once.

I was kind of obsessed with home theatre equipment at the time and I don't make shit despite working 2 jobs, so I decided to lift one I'd seen at the Wal a few time that didn't have a spider lock on it.

Wore a shitty disguise (a wig and glasses, because lol small town), walked in during rush hour with a cart. Picked it up, put it in the cart, walked out while holding a fake receipt (from a purchase I'd made at that same location yesterday). Walmart greeter waved me out the door, "Have a nice day!"

That was a $300 receiver. Shit was cash.
>>
>>592752094
and music piracy is intellectually property theft. somebody wrote that song and got a copy-write. sorry, dude taking shit from other people isn't right. you cant win this argument.

Few years ago
My single mom makes $2400 monthly
It's her birthday
I said there was the awsome blue shirt at strip mall.
Mom says let's go on an adventure.
Loads cart
$150 tool kit
$300 coat
Blue shirt
Cheap suit($200-$250)
20 other shirts

She has some psychological problems
Ie kill a cat with a hammer when I was 6 ect
There must have been 2000 worth I that cart.

Act like you own it.

What right do they have to own it in the first place? With your own logic...None. Because they bought it? So fucking what. Why does that matter? I could not give a shit less about corporate profits.

Don't steal someone's car radio. Most of the time the stock ones are shit and won't get you jack. The custom ones are some guy's baby and he put a good amount of time into those and loves them. Steal cash from his car. Fuck, take the cat and sell the platinum. But don't steal a man's damn radio.

well is it a publicly traded company? then the shareholders are partial owners. walmart as far as i know is a family held corp. a big ass evil family corp that benefits from low overseas wages but an american company still. anyway its more of a philosophical debate. im no rat so thieves can keep on thieving but i still dont agree with in. come in my garage or house and ill either sick my bull terrier on you or probably shoot you. so please stay off my property. k thanks.

Do you really think that theft affects the pay of people who work shitty jobs like that? People who work retail will hardly ever get paid more than minimum wage. And most of the time 401ks aren't even offered. The person who it's affecting is the same person that could buy your entire life with the money he makes in a day.

alright there kemosabe. enjoy your wildwest all for me life. i get you may not dig your place in the current american pecking order. im not really stoked about mine either but im not stealing shit to try and better myself. but hey, keep on keeping on.

When I was 18 my best friend at the time and I along with a few other people who sometimes came stole Yu-Gi-Oh cards from Walmart, Target, and Toys R Us for like 4-5 months. We would go in groups and pick stuff that we wanted, open the boxes or blisters etc discreetly and stuff the product all by itself into our inside jacket pockets while hiding the opened casings behind other stuff. We had a good thing running and I personally walked out with more than 1000$ total and between all of us for those months we probably walked out with over 10000$ total. Eventually one of the guys (not me or my friend) got caught just straight up stuffing a backpack by some sort of undercover target security guards and he had to do some community service and pay a fine, and after that we mostly stopped. none of us got into any trouble except that guy and another guy though. usually when we went we ran in groups of 2-3, and on that occasion there were 5 of us so there were 2 groups and his group got busted. they got overzealous stuffing a backpack, personally I always played it safe. We got a lot of really valuable cards and sold most of them on the secondary market since we were all Yu-Gi-Oh players.
