What is the most mindfuck movie you have ever seen?
Beyond The Black Rainbow; holy fuck it's pure visual art. Works even better if you are stoned.
The Holy Mountain.
Enter The Void.
Not really fucked up in a disturbing/gorey way, but it's the type of film that changes your perspective on things.
>first time I watched I was stoned to shit
>re watched some other time 100%
>realized I had forgotten about like half the movie cause I was stoned the first time
>really love it
>the way it was shot, the mysticism intertwined within it
>the acting's alright but it's strong point is the story and the visual and auditory experience it provides
Everyone's seen it but the matrix has always been the trippiest for me; as far philosophically trippy it's had a substantial impact on me. Mr.Nobody n cloud atlas were interesting if you're into the time warp n time sci fi shit.
A field in England. Apparently shrooms were in general use during our civil war which explains quite a bit and hell was in a tent which i always thought anyhow
>Late summer, Southampton UK
>Joined Navy, in training, was cadet, not crewfag, gets sent to Southampton with 10 others for special training.
>All on our ownsies, no supervision, all other trainees locked up in dorms and shit back in Graves-fuckin-end, we running around Southampton parks in blazing sunshine.
>One guy knows a guy who knows the angels, gets weed. First time getting stoned. CoolAsFuckIsThis.png
>Samefag saw "The Wall" was on as we walked past flix, gets excited, wants us all to watch it.
>We goes in...
I prefer Desperate Living, better story imo
Watched it an hour ago. I just love that kind of extremely slow paced and minimalistic movies. A strong 9/10 movie but not really mindfuck. Yellow Submarine on the other hand...
i know it's a documentary, but yeah the mindfuck.
some movie about a guy getting paid money from people that want to be tortured and then he somehow ends up in hell and hell is depicted as a long hallway with pipes and stuff and i cant remember the name of the film and its driving me nuts because i wanna see the movie again but no matter what i google i cant find it
(Well, "Blue Velvet" or "Eraserhead" are close contenders)
Primer was really really cool. The first movie I can recall where I really had to go back and figure out on paper what had actually happened.
nope.. boring as shit
but still the trailer is stunning
I have the entire list right here.
>Yes, the movie you are thinking about is on here.
Her left me extremely emotionally confused and was the first movie ever to make me cry.
Made me question existence and our future and what not.
Being John Malkovich
That one movie where a guy gets a anction lige for his birthday or somthing
Also Genuis Party had some wierd stuf (Dimension Bomb and Happy machine for example)
Eraserhead, Lost Highway, Begotten and Holy Mountain are fresh in my mind since I've seen them all recently.
Also saw the american remake of Oldboy with Josh Brolin, was ok, pretty much same as original.
Nobody mentioned 'The Prestige' ? Now that is a fucking mindfuck.
>No A Scanner Darkly
ITT: edgy faggot teens looking for an artys piece of shit film thinking they are so cool and hip watching it.
The trailer for beyond the black rainbow was almost unbearable to watch.
Tetsuo, The Iron Man.
Eraserhead in japanese style.
Taxidermia and ABC's of Death.
ABC's of Death has Nazi furry burlesque dancers, and these guys are forced to jack off to someone fucking a kid or they get killed. This fat chick also hacks off all of her fat.
This movie is beyond fucking weird hell look at the trailer
Not sure all i can remeber is
1 guy is an escape artist
1guy has autism
1 of the chicks is a special ed teacher
The black guy almost gets killed because of the retard
>everyone would've survived if they had just stayed put
The spiral, by uzumaki, the comic is 1000 times better though.
This thread is gold (except for a few newfags), I'm going to save it and watch some of this films
ERASERHEAD (1977) IS THE DEFINITION OF MIND BLOWN. This movie is so fuckin different than the rest. It's the only true mind blown movie out there. No other true genre other than mind blown movie
Fucking mind control worms and pigs n shit, loved it
Yes, I was shocked when I found out Peter Jackson did that one.
Then I learned about his past horror films.
Oddly enough Brain Dead was a cult classic among my friends and when LOTR came out we didn't even realize it was the same director for a while. It has a similar distubing fucked-up humor as the Feebles. I've yet to see the other one (Bad Taste).
Not really a horror movie, more thriller. It is about this family whose father/husband has gone to fight in the great war, never to return. They live in a big house, and one day a group of three knocks the door and says that they are there to work for them as a maid, nanny and gardener, and with their arrival, the house gets haunted. Really a good movie
a scanner darkly is highly suggestible.
Jumanji. I mean the board game comes to life?! Holy shit.
It also features the horrifying plotline of a white kid turning in to a nigger. So it's basically a mindfuck version of 8 Mile.
Tensi no Tamago
by mamoru Oshii.
Genius and mind blowing.
Good to know 95% of this thread is 16 years old because these movie choices are shit.
>Synecdoche New York
>Enter the Void
>The Usual Suspects
>Being John Malkovich
Can post more...
>Searches thread for Audition
>Doesn't find it
>Get it together fellas
