That's funny. Albeit mildly disturbing
All I have are war photos, almost entirely from the 20th century. Any specific era requests? I have WW1, WW2, Vietnam, and miscellaneous Cold War photos
Priest holding a soldier wounded by a sniper in Venezuela
Ooh! I've got one for ya.
A German soldier returns home to Munich to find his home destroyed and his family missing.
Hits me in the feels every time I see it...
There is an interview I saw on tv, an old silent movie star talking about filming a scene with a lion.
"The said, now this is a nice lion, He never hurts anyone your perfectly safe." Then she describes being filmed laying, the roaring lions with his on her back. And she could feel the roar in her chest.
Six weeks later the lion attacked and killed his trainer
A German soldier during Stalingrad
I dont have many, but I'll post the few i found interesting.
Rommel the Desert Fox in Africa
Hearing stations, early early air-detection technology
Nguyen Ngoc Loan, South Vietnam's chief of national police, leads Nguyen Van Lem, suspected Viet Kong collaborated and murderer of several South Vietnamese police officers to be executed
I think it's because of:
1) Fear of being underwater, especially in the sea
2) Fear of being underwater near those huge screws
It's pitch black, in a freezing sea, and you fall overboard. You start getting sucked underwater towards the screws. How do you feel?
I hate it because it represent the subjection of a shitload of people to a couple of worthless faggots egos. Anyone who likes being their own person will hate stuff like that instinctively.
The execution. At the time this photo was taken, the bullet was already in Van Lem's head
Relax. Take in larger-than-you wonders of engineering and marvel at them. Don't fear.
Speaking of which.
The rest i have are of lesser know places in the town i grew up. I'll leave you with this one though
Immediately after the execution. The incident would go on to be a famous symbol used to promote anti-war
Nazi soldiers having a snowball fight during WW2.
An American soldier stands in a bombed-out cathedral in France
Damn, that took a huge chunk out of his head
Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold suicide photo after Columbine shooting
A lion attacked a model at an auto show at the Coliseum. April 8, 1966.
The woman in the photograph was Nell Theobald, a 21-year-old model who underwent surgery to save her left leg after being attacked by a lion at the International Automobile Show. The lion, Ludwig, was a a 225-pound two year old male who lunged at Ms. Theobald after apparently being upset by its handler’s prodding.
Russian ground-attack planes over Germany
>implying this one frame isn't the most famous part
Finnish officer about to execute a Russian spy
Look at that fucking smile
Anyone identify the tank in the background? German Panther maybe?
>>implying this one frame isn't the most famous part
Watching the full clip it really looks like the guy had no idea it was going to be lights out. The general just turns and pop.
American soldiers executing German concentration camp guards
>implying xenos say what we can and cannot do in the Imperium of Man that encompasses our entire galaxy
>implying filthy xenos opinion would overrule The Immortal Emperor
>implying The God-Emperor cannot litter in his own imperium
P51 Mustang wing
Yeah I don't think so either, probably thought he was just getting arrested
Looks like it, see
Nazis leading Jews out of the ghetto
That's St. Valentines Day Massacre
German takeover of I believe the Netherlands, though I've been told the clothes store in the background is German
A wide range of reactions to Hitler's rule
Oh I wish I had that photo of Nazi soldiers about to execute the Communist with his arms crossed, any other anons have it?
General Patton after the Battle of the Bulge
That fucking look
Hitler during one of his rallies
I have it, not Nazi's but freikorsp, executing a commie in the Bavarian civil war thing.
I think he's right, those don't look like German soldiers
Russian soldier next to a dead German. He doesn't look like he appreciates having his picture taken
Not sure if this one's real, because of coloring.
Half of them look like they're pissed and the other half look like they're trying to seduce the cameraman
Russian officer leading a charge
Right, but when I see a civil war era photo, I expect this kind of grain and focus. The other one looks too... clear.
Iunno. maybe i'm just retarded.
Eisenhower motivating the troops before D-Day
Also I AM NOT A ROBOT GOD DAMN IT
I know it has super armour, but I can't help thinking that thing would have been a massive target for the RAF if it has ever been deployed on the western front properly.
The Nazis really were comic book villains.
It was a railroad gun that took days to assemble and could only fire a couple shots per day. It was never used because railroads were some of the first targets for American and RAF pilots
The Reichstag after the Russians captured it
Not too sure about this one, I think Americans bombing Japan
Yeah I thought it was Dutch but I keep being told it's German, a lot of anons are saying Sudetenland
Right? Annoying as fuck.
Well, who do you think comic book authors modeled their villains after?
Dunno left, right is Kennedy.
And the famous picture of the hammer and sickle over the Reichstag. You can tell this one was altered by the Soviet government because in the original the officer was wearing a watch he most likely looted from a German home
It's known to be in Sudetenland, in Eger (now Cheb).
>tfw sudeten germans were nazis
>The Reichstag after the Russians captured it
In the final months of the war a German Armament worker told this joke.
Hitler is up on the Reichstag looking over the city of Berlin. What more can I do he says? What can I do? The guard behind him says, 'you fucking could jump'
Aerial view of the trenches in WW1. British on the left, German on the right
Was just going to post that, supposedly the last picture ever of Hitler
I've always thought about that too, that photographers just look for people in grief and instead of offering them time alone they take a picture, the birth of paparazzi fuck heads.
The famous "tank man" in Tienanmen Square
He killed a bunch of South Vietnamese police officers, supposedly the executioners friends
Reichstag with Russian graffiti.
... and an alternate view, to put things in perspective.
I'm always a bit dubious that isn't a stages shot.
My uncle said half the shit shown is staged or misrepresented. Like footage of soldiers advancing crouched while shooting into the bushes. Film crew wanted an 'action shot' and dragooned some soldiers into giving them one. But hey they ain't going to crawl on their bellies like for real cause that sucks.
German army enters Asch in the Sudetenland... why did they already have the flags lel
Eh some are, some aren't. A lot of times They are re created from something the photographer might have saw, but didn't snap in time or couldn't get the settings right at the time. I don't think that diminishes from anything though
I think a medical college displaying its appreciation for the cadavers they used for dissection.
You're most welcome. I thank everyone who also contribooted. Otherwise it'd have been a page 10.
Thanks you inglorious /b/asterds.
Deperate attempt to deconstruct the World Trade Center after spotting terrorist planes on approach. Last-ditch effort to prevent 9/11, but ultimately doomed, as we know.
