Comfy Thread: Good Feels Edition
>dem game locations
>Sucks that Skyrim is a barren wasteland
What are you talking about. Jesus christ this board get exponentially worse all the time, it's getting as bad as reddit where people just copy what others say
returning to this place after all the dwelling caves and fortresses...
Oblivion has multiple rivers that spring off the one huge river/lake
Theres the aoe2: HD Edition on steam, but not sure if it's mac compatible
It looks actually really good when you get mods.
My catgirl character :3
Snow can be comfy. When you're wrapped up with multiple layers of clothes but everything around you is covered in snow, it's peaceful.
played this behind my older brothers back on his xbox all day long.
Listen to song for maximum comfy.
That's a solid response. I like it.
Am I the only one who never figured out how to win at this thing without turtling up?
>Positioning a city surrounded by hills where ballista's and catapults have higher ground to easily wreck everything inside.
>deliberately giving enemy archers an advantage
Its like the Empire wanted to get nearly destroyed by the Thalmor.
>you will never be sat around a medieval tavern fire after returning from an adventure with your loyal companians
i've heard mixed reviews on SHC 2 but cant be arsed to shell out 50 shekels for it on steam.
I looked at some competitive players play this game on youtube, and fucking shit, I give up. I'm fine with playing against medium-hard computers. Ever since they improved AI in HD edition, I get fucked by the computer at hardest.
>Played the game on and off for 15 years, still not good
I agree. Well, i have a soft spot for indie game shit. I buy all kinds of crap. When i tried to get that, their payment provider refused to take my money.
Even tried it again two days later.
After a week i got a torrent, tried it, and yep. Sucks. I was very glad they also fucked up game design.
Don't get me wrong, Engine is okay, so is GFX.
But the game design is SOOO bad. None of the mechanics like education, families and stuff, add any depth. And the Seasons just SUCK.
Tutorial treats you like a newborn sucking on a mouse. Does not teach you anything. 5 Minutes explaining movement controls? WTF?!
After you grasp the basics there is just one thing. ENDLESS BOREDOM.
Poor sob that wrote it. Lots of Talent/Time wasted. Unfortunately the basic game loops are beyond saving. The thing is a design trainwreck.
Nothing is more peaceful than staring at the night sky in Oblivion and listening to these two soundtracks:
ofc it is
Anvil was my favourite city, it looked so pretty when there was a nice orange sunset
Not every city needs to be by water. And any medeival city would build the castle on the hill, not at the bottom of them.
They are literally surrounded by hills, yet they didn't utilise them. Some dev with zero understanding of basic strategy has gone "this looks nice" and just placed a town there.
because the faggots from Bethesda are completely retarded. Just like fallout 3 where people buelt a city around an armed nuke because fuck you logic we wanna be coool
Rapture reminded me of something else.
a friend of mine got it on release day.
Its utter shit. Laggy as hell, mad textures, economic system is non existent, Enemy ai is dumb like shit and the enemy charakters are just bad voiced copys of the original SC game.
dont even look at it.
sitting here in my comfy bucket seat
Mafia 2's intro part with the snow is comfy as fuck.
It can get a little boring, but I had a very diversified game, with over 1000 people, but then i had a lack of tools, so I couldn't get enough food and a lot of them died and now I hava quite a hard time keeping my people alive.
anyone remember battle for middle earth 1-2?
i could play those games for hours bfm2 had a shit story tho
holy shit i loved that game
>spending hours creating your own heroes
>war of the ring
It was so perfect because it focused on the fighting side of rts rather than economy side. The one resource system was perfect.
did you play custom games online?
>remember spending hours just building farms so that i could storm into the enemy base and destroy it,
> make an army of trolls
best game ever
i actually downloaded the game a couple of days ago
>still the same feeling from when i was young
naaah will play it again at some point, still need to import my skirm saves from old comp anyway
had a personal challenge to win all skirmishes on max difficulty, got pretty close haha
i played it a year or so ago.
i just felt like these special units are just so ridiculously overpowered. the balrog, dragons and alikes.
Did i just do something wrong or are they really that retarded strong? i mean sure in a lore way it makes sense but gameplaywise i did not like it.
nah, special troops are easy to kill, u just have to use archers, and upgrade their arrows, i felt like the only missbalance between things was that the allies were much stronger than the enemies
Chilling by the fire at night while out, chilling in breezehome is ok but meh. Does anyone recommend any [comfy] house mods for skyrim? I tried dragonborn castle which seems popular at the moment but all the stuff it offers kinda ruins the fun of the game for me plus the npc's there suck.
>Chilling in my bed in the early 90s on schoolnights watching newly released episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation
I just bought it about a month ago...
It's not that bad, on its own.
The main problem I have with it is how limited the building system is. The later stages of a match are just an economic efficiency simulator- you focus more on cramming as many economic buildings as you can into your tiny estate. I thought that they'd allow you to buy more estates a la Stronghold 2, but no.
The new units are nice, though, other than the Knights being horribly overpowered (especially with the standard bearers) again. The original game should've had some sort of way to heal units... I usually play Extreme just to use the heal power.
If the original game was given a graphics overhaul, a few new units (with balancing), and a method to heal units + unit veterancy, I'd find it difficult to ever play another RTS.
Anyone else hyped about how Rust and The Forest are developing?
They make me so happy after seeing how DayZ, Life is Feudal, and other sandboxy multiplayer games died during development...
Felt more like lonely, isolated and seeking comfort. pangs of sadness when I made a connection with someone I knew I would never speak to or meet again. Two ships passing in the night.
My Top Mods:
The Golden Crest: A Major Pirate Quest
Deadly Reflex version 5 (do not download version 6)
Honestly, Vilja just breathes life into Oblivion. You'll not want to return to reality after spending time with her in Tamriel.
How is The Forest shit? It's developing at a decent pace, giving how tiny the dev team is... The game itself is already fun, although buggy.
>I'll never forget the exploding corpses that launch you 500 feet into the air.
I want to play it, but it's so dull when I go back to it.
Everything I accomplish in Survival could have been done in an instant if I was playing Creative.
If I play Creative, it's nothing more than a giant, 3D version of Microsoft Paint.
Survival lets me feel like I'm actually working to survive in a gigantic sandbox with endless possibilities... But the ugly mob models and shitty "combat" remind me that I'm in nothing more than a giant autism simulator.
I want to love Minecraft, but I can't.
Go fuck yourself nigger. Fallout 3 is one of the most enjoyable games i have ever played. Granted its not perfect mechanics wise, but the story and size are awesome. Also half that story is bullshit buried between truths.
Eat a nigger dick
No runescape sucks and always sucked. It was and ways will be a knock of that steals content and material from REAL actually fun games. UO FOR LIFE
I was okay, probably put about 50 hours into it.
But in all that time there was never a point where I couldn't get my asshole disconnected form my body by some fucked up monster just trundling by. I guess that's a redeeming feature, if your into that sort of thing?
Over half of you fucking prebubescent nublets weren't even alive when the first MMO was created. Where were you when LB was assassinated?
