I agree. Well, i have a soft spot for indie game shit. I buy all kinds of crap. When i tried to get that, their payment provider refused to take my money.
Even tried it again two days later.

After a week i got a torrent, tried it, and yep. Sucks. I was very glad they also fucked up game design.
Don't get me wrong, Engine is okay, so is GFX.
But the game design is SOOO bad. None of the mechanics like education, families and stuff, add any depth. And the Seasons just SUCK.
Tutorial treats you like a newborn sucking on a mouse. Does not teach you anything. 5 Minutes explaining movement controls? WTF?!

After you grasp the basics there is just one thing. ENDLESS BOREDOM.
Poor sob that wrote it. Lots of Talent/Time wasted. Unfortunately the basic game loops are beyond saving. The thing is a design trainwreck.

I just bought it about a month ago...
It's not that bad, on its own.
The main problem I have with it is how limited the building system is. The later stages of a match are just an economic efficiency simulator- you focus more on cramming as many economic buildings as you can into your tiny estate. I thought that they'd allow you to buy more estates a la Stronghold 2, but no.
The new units are nice, though, other than the Knights being horribly overpowered (especially with the standard bearers) again. The original game should've had some sort of way to heal units... I usually play Extreme just to use the heal power.
If the original game was given a graphics overhaul, a few new units (with balancing), and a method to heal units + unit veterancy, I'd find it difficult to ever play another RTS.
