I did 5 months for home invasion and non-aggravated assault. Judge was cool af and actually looked at my flawless record and literally told me "dont do stupid shit next time". Originally booked me for 2 yrs but with good conduct i got off in 5months and did 1 yr of parole. Everyone was cool in prison cos i actually got sent to huntsville from houston. I went in at 155 came out 175 at 5'10. Them waking u up at 3 am to shower in cold water and the fat free food they give really helps ur workouts. They'll ask who you hang with OP just stick to your people and carry yourself low. You should be out in no time.

Federal prison is really chill, in a camp. Watch tv and movies eating Cheetos and drinking pepsi. No drama either because the shu sucks, and no one wants to go to a higher security prison.

Jail is for pending charges and sentences less than a year. Prison is after you're convicted. You're looking at about 3 years (you'll be out in 1-2 if you don't fuck up). Get a good lawyer and you might just have to do 6 month boot camp (assuming you don't have priors). I did two years in statesville penitentiary for an unlawful possession of a firearm.
