What kind of hobbies are you into, /b/?
I need a new hobby that isn't browsing the internet and hanging out with friends.
>vaping is not a hobby
>smoking weed is not a hobby
I need to cut back and preoccupy myself with something else.
>smoking weed is not a hobby
It's better than japanese broken pottery faggotry
>vaping is not a hobby
True. Vaping is gay.
I like to make sandwiches as my hobby.
Dude, you make sandwiches too? No way!
Bros, I like to make hamburgers myself. Is a hamburger a sandwich? Pic related.
I melt and cast metal. Aluminum and iron mostly.
I weld. I only have a stick welder though.
I'm a novice wordworker.
I'm an illustrator and digital painter.
I like to program and do some web design in my free time.
And I operate a couple of websites.
Not really. I usually take half home or split it with my wife. Not only is it twice as big, but it costs half as much as as sandwich in a european country. We have plenty of money left for a couple beers, STAY JEALOUS EUROPOOR FAGGOT.
Bonsai is something that'll take 5 minutes a day for the rest of your life. It's slow, but somewhat rewarding.
Op if you have any musical ability try to buy a small book, and when you think of stuff to play write it down in your book, then learn it.
I agree, take up an instrument, or study language, or start producing artwork: these will all absorb massive amounts of time and you'll be a better person.
i like making videos, its a time consuming hobby but the end result its worth it... sometimes
I play poker, and quite profitably too. Used to do it to pay rent when I was a student in London.
It's about 60% skill, 20% maths and 20% luck, though luck plays no part in the longer run.
My maths and technical skills have been quite good but I've only recently been really nailing the reads and feeling vibes of opponents to sniff out bluffs and big hands.
Used to go to Leicester Square on the weekends to play against the moron gamblers with way too much money who literally don't understand the game. Used to make at least 3-4 thousand pounds a weekend.
Try drawing, playing paintball, rifle marksmanship, learn how to repair a car, learn how to cook, fuck it man learn how to surf or sail or something depending on where you live.
Pic related is something I drew recently, blacked out my name.
or you can do it with friends if you like
You're way wrong. It's a numbers game, plain and simple. There is minimal skill involved, reading tells. Any decent player can run fake tells and get you to over extend though.
>listening to music (as a main activity, not only in the background)
>hanging around with friends
OP's brain so dead, he be like
>I need direction on my life
It can seem intimidating, but you start to see it as a single piece you use both your hands for rather than two isolated things. Once you get the rhythm of a song down, its pretty predictable when you'll hit notes at the same time with both hands, then the right hand usually synchopates from there.
Ive been playing for some 5~ years, and have tutored a few friends who had an interest
I have a problem with learning a new language. Learning new languages don't give you any fundamental knowledge. All it allows you to do is speak to a specific group of people that probably know English already anyway with the exception of the retarded ones. It also makes you an enabler for morons in this world in the information era to continue to not be on the same page and talk in the same language for everyone to understand each other.
I know a dozen computer languages and picked up various languages such as Spanish and Japanese from being subjected to it in highschool and college. I'm trying to forget those languages. Fully bilingual assholes came from 3rd world countries or uppity privileged families and should not be proud of being bilingual.
Sitting like this, doing some excercise, looking what the day has to offer
I create dank memes on the internet.
this is my newest creation.
Thanks, I've never taken lessons and I just use a lead pencil and printer paper. It's not hard to pick it up and a good stress reliever.
I love the Death Korps
>numbers game plain and simple
Yeah if you play online poker faggot. Also
Then you're completely retarded. The game requires a huge degree of skill. Mental and emotional stability to phase out anger and tilt from bad beats and shit play that gets rewarded, consistently playing profitably, fishing out whether your opponent is a fish, donk, moron, pro etc.
Not even the best players run fake tells. The most +EV 'fake tell' is to remain faceless. Fake tells are the biggest steaming load.
Also I used to just seek out the really soft games full of tourists. They were super easy.
I live in San Diego but work in nw Georgia, by the silver comet trail. Tour DE Georgia is there, ran into Lance and a few other famous racers, they're usually impressed I can ride the trail. I don't mash it out when I'm on the rough ones because no brakes, lol.
Like I said, fun not competitive.
Hey that's a cool hobby. Could I fix my broken bong this way? I am an abstract painter and surf punk musician, I smoke a lot of weed to get into my groove. Want to fix my water piece so I can get really high and do art
>implying I sleep
>implying its supposed to be exciting
>implying you're clever
Learn to play and instrument.
Learn to mod Xbox systems and controllers and sell them to call of duty playing 15 year olds for inflated prices.
I used to buy used 360 controllers for $25-30, sand down the case and paint it, depending on the condition of the buttons/sticks replace them with some faggot color and install a dropshot or rapid fire button and sell them for $70
OP here. Wow I expected this thread to 404 pretty quickly thanks for contributing guys. Now I just need a ban.
>ban me plz mods plz
Hobbies i tried:
RC cars (hella fun)
Warhammer 40k tabletop (meh, found nobody to play with)
Building loudspeakers myself (really fun, you need a place for it though)
PC gaming (only casual but really fun)
Skiing (i really love skiing)
Playing an Instrument (i fucking loved it, i am a professional musician now)
This is not a hobby. Music is something to listen to while you do something productive. Laying in bed and listening to music is something to do if you want to get fat and lazy.
You sound like a lonely bitch. Please don't go all Eliot Rodger on the rest of us.
nigga nigga nigga nigga nigga
>what you have there is 200 percent nigga
Knowing what's on the felt and in your hand gives you a fair idea of what's left in the deck. Removing the other players can give you a fair idea of the chance (luck) of your desired cards coming up. Knowing possible hands based on what's down and the other players chances of hahaving those hands is all math.
Being able to not squeal like a schoolgirl every time you see something you like isn't a skill.
Playing tourists and soft games doesn't make you a good player, and winning all the damn time gives you a false sense that you know what the fuck you're talking about.
>Music is something to listen to while you do something productive
Says who? Do people build things at concerts? I just like to listen to music while I focus and cleat my mind. That's a fucking hobby. Chinese monk meditate all the fucking time. Why is it not a hobby when I do it?
only americans are "proud to be bilingual", in other countries, it's assumed that you are.
also, who the fuck cares if you know a "dozen computer languages". syntax isn't the hard part, obviously. saying you know java, python, c++, mysql or whatever doesn't mean anything really. if you know logics, mathematics, automata theory and some data structure theory you are a better programmer than most newly examined compsci students, and you don't even have to "know" more than one language to learn that shit
Dudeeeee its for 1 american! right holy eff??? you r edgy!!!!xD Fucking americans am i right!? xD i hate them there the wrost cuntry in the FUCKING WORLD!!!!!! GOD PRAISE THRREE FUCKING QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!
>mfw people actually do that at clubs.
I pretty sure that's a hobby, you faggot.
you're full of shit. Being bilingual opens up new ways to think. Different languages are structured in complex ways in which they emphasize either an action, object, or even feelings. You try translating anything word from word and you'll notice they don't match up to what they mean. Nice try faggot -69/10 for making me rustle
