To go deeper into it, it is a mystery as to how it started or why. I never played tuba in my life, wasn't in band, and this dated back to my childhood even. Something about the size of it, its sound, how it vibrates, its big heavy body, I just really love the horn a lot. Basically, any good story draws attention to specific sensations and gives specific details which help highlight those sensations.

Once you have what you want in the comic, you just need to organize it so it comes out in a coherent fashion.

So, for example, if you were to write a short story, and it was from timothys perspective, you'd have him think about the tuba as he approaches it, and write out his thoughts.

>As Timothy perched himself on the lip of the tuba, he looked down into the wide, dark abyss. Solid brass faded to black as his eyes followed the contours of the gargantuan pit before him. Never before had Timothy felt such a strong desire to be one with the tuba. The tuba would squeeze him and squeeze him as he entered the narrower parts. I can't even come up with my own. Everything I write is just parroting what you said you liked already. Echoes - a subcategory of noises.

Keep this list, expand on it. A tuba is a finite thing and yes, there are only so many ways you can describe aspects of it. Better to keep a list of complete possibilities you think of and come across. There's no way to completely organize things without any overlap - don't be OCD about it. You're going to want to continue tuba art so you might as well get analytical about it - you'll make better stories this way.

However, be warned. Over analyzing things sometimes takes away the magic. It all depends whether or not that will happen or even mattter - but youve been warned nevertheless.
