Where the fuck is my package bitch?
>>

In your ass. Next.

Do you still have to join a union to work there?
>>
Shameless self bump
>>
>>583555243
Yes. The Teamsters. $400 initiation for package car i believe.
>>
>>583554707
Pre-Loader here. Fuck UPS. Fuck Peak Season.
>>
>>583554707
Veli-Matti?
>>
Do you ever take packages? Like unclaimed ones? Do you ever intentionally mishandle the shit?
>>
>>583555468
You are telling me. Don't take out your frustration on the drivers though. The pre-load makes or breaks my whole day. BTW, driver here.
>>583555475
wut?
>>
>>583554707
Amazon: Love it or hate it?
>>
>>583555735
No, I don't steal packages. I earn the stuff I have. Also, I don't intentionally mishandle stuff, but I don't baby it either. If it can't survive the way I handle it, it wont survive the center.
>>
>>583554707
Man your hoilday season must suck.
>>
when you deliver my diapers do you know that's what you're doing?
>>
>>583555751
Yeah, I have to be up tomorrow at 3:00. I've been working there for about 2 years now. I like my drivers, they're pretty nice. Management is the problem though. Bunch of assholes.
>>
>>583555916
Fucking Amazon. They need to learn to use actually packing tape. They use a single piece of shitty ass paper tape. Seems almost as durable as masking tape. Can tell you how many boxes get ripped open on the truck.
>>
>>583555967
Your a moral fag gtfo because this thread is going to be lame.
>>
>>583555974
It's getting there.
>>583556076
I'm sure I deliver things a lot worse than your diapers.
>>583556116
My days right now are 8:45 am to about 8:00 pm at the earliest. I worked 60 hours last week.
>>
Do you spit in the cruel people's latte?
>>
What do you do?
Do you know if it is difficult to get on ups freight as a line haul driver?
>>
>>583554707
Why do most companies use Fed-Ex?
>>

>>
>>583556316
Are you really like the south park episode really pictures you as? A man's wife is his life, mr ups man.
>>
>>583554707
Ever knowingly deliver weed? All of the people that I know who ship it use UPS overnight.
>>
>>583554707
USPS Carrier here. I really appreciate all the packages you give me to deliver.
>>
>>583555967
Yes, former pre-load here who also worked the sorting slide from time to time. Those things can take quite a beating, so pack well, niggas.

Ok, OP, what are your dump stops?
>>
>>583556316
Damn, driver start time is 9:30 at my center. It's funny seeing people ask questions about handling packages. Literally no one gives a shit about your box. It's just another box of the 1000s I see everyday. People will throw, drop, step on anything you order really doesn't matter.
>>
>>583556320
You do know what UPS is right?
>>583556321
Package car driver. Drive around and deliver your dildos to you. Afaik, UPS freight is hard to get in to because they usually hire from inside. Package car drivers usually want to move up to freight because it's easier.
>>583556451
Fucked if I know, probably because Fed-Ex is a bit cheaper, but UPS is better. Fed-Ex splits up their Express and Ground and contracts out ALL ground deliveries. Probably why Fed-Ex is less dependable.
>>
>>583556465
There's nothing wrong with taking what you want. It's morons like you that try to play fair that wind up loser fags thst work st ups forever.
>>
>>583556731
Hey, it's keeping you in business. Didn't they already shut down a ton of USPS centers from lack of business?
>>583556632
Can't remember that episode.
>>583556675
Nope. Not that I care. Weed is fine in my eyes.
>>583556772
Please clarify. Dump stops?
>>583556787
I have climbed on boxes in the center of the car to reach others on the shelf before.
>>
>>583556862
Also having loaded for them makes one very nice to the drivers because I know the shit hours they have to put in. Pulled up next to one last week while driving my car at about 7:45. He was probably just finishing up.
>>
why is it in america packages get left in the open, in front of the door? So easily to steal.

Britfag here, if you are not at home, they take it back and try to deliver again the next day, or more often, they give it to a neighbour and you just get it from them. Leaving it on the floor is just dumb. I could follow a UPS truck around and just grab everything
>>
>>583556934
Oh yeah, forgot to mention. Have to go through metal detector and get bag checked going into and out of work.
>>
>>583557229
That's what we called them when you had a shitload of packages every day for a single address. They would have us put them in the corners of the car towards the back..
>>
>>583557229
They shut down centers because Congress wants the USPS to put a shit-load of money into retirement funds for future USPS employees.
>>
>>583557336
Appreciate it. Same for people who have worked in fast food industry are always nice to food workers.
>>583557362
I only do that in good neighborhoods. Apartments, I don't leave packages unless instructed to. Also, if it's an obvious high value item like a computer or TV, the driver has the authority to not deliver or can deliver to neighbor if available. One more thing, if you are so worried about your package, then have it sent signature required.
>>
>>583557575
Ah, well, they used to put them all in the back, but now they are in the front for some reason, it's annoying.
>>583557694
They shut down to save money for retirement funds because USPS was hemorrhaging money.
>>
>>583554707
A) how much weed do you think you deliver on a daily basis?
B) why does UPS make you faggots shave like its the 1950's?
>>
>>583554707
OP How do you know if a package has weed in it or not?
>>
>>583558048
No idea how much weed.
Idk, it sucked a lot. I had to shave off my beard of 4-5 years. My chin was fucking cold.

FedEx ground driver here.

In my experience, FedEx operates faster and heavier than UPS. We always make delivery before UPS guys get there.
But, because of the outsourcing to contractors, the quality of employees is much less than that of UPS.

OP, what are you getting per hour and how many hours a week?
I make $17/hour and average 70 hours/week.

Also; UPS is losing business like crazy to FedEx. Job security worries?
>>
Started being a driver helper for UPS this year.

Holy shit is my driver a lazy fuck.
>>
>>583558035
Damn. I bet that pissed off a lot of drivers when they changed that. One of my guys did all midway airport (counted as multiple stops), so he had to load up all the shit on a cart and walk through the whole airport. It would suck if he had to unload all that from the front of the car.
>>
>>583558048
>>583558341
its just an old company, they keep with tradition
only mustaches allowed
>>
Anyone work load side?
>>
>>583554707
i ordered a package last month. when will i get it?
>>
UPS PT supervisor for loader here.

Peak session sucks but i love the paycheck from a 60 hour weeks.
>>
>>583558303
I don't.
>>583558392
Not sure if real or not. I know a Fedex ground driver on my route. He delivers earlier than me because he routinely has a fraction of my load. I have 250 deliveries a day, he has about 60 max. Also, if you are averaging 70 hours a week, than you are retarded. Federal HOS law says you can only be on duty and driving no more than 60 hours in a 7 day week. It's both the drivers and the employers responsibiltity that they HOS guidelines are followed.
>>
>>583556862
fedex does split all ground/home but durrrring xmas both do the same jobs.

worked 2 seasons in denver. it sucked.
>>
>>583558708
Never.
>>583558845
Indeed. My next paycheck is going to be huge.
>>
>>583558035
USPS isnt technically suppose to make money at all.
>>
>>583559170
Maybe not, but they aren't supposed to lose money hand over fist.
>>
>>583555468

Preloader here too.

What hub?
>>
>>583555468
just got home from a seven hour shift at the hub in louisville. fuck peak
>>
>>583558392
i was a driver a couple of years ago.
fed ex hired and trained me in that fucking horrible 40 hour safety course they have.

didn't get hired by a contractor because i actually drove safely... (minus some speeding).

also, when i did it we only got $15/hour
>>
>>583559352
Earth City, Missouri
>>
>>583559256
Youd lose money too if you had to pay some $5billion a year
>>
>>583559432
UPS starts out at $19/hr. and that's 75% pay i believe. Extra 5% every year til 100%.
>>
>>583559352
Im a preloader sometimes. pisses my gf off when she's starts sucking my dick and she instantly gets a taste
>>
>>583559484

I work in JAX. I used to be on sunrise and I loaded the MO truck.
>>
>>583559352
Statesboro hub. Pretty small we are running 34-40 routes right now
>>
>>583555416
not in Texas.
>>
>>583559568
Pretty sure UPS has more overhead than USPS.
>>583559691
Lmao.
>>
Any CACH fags in here? There have to be, the place employs like a million people. Looks like a penitentiary.
>>
>>583559773
I think my Center is up to 80+ routes. Maybe more.
>>
>>583556731
Same here. Shit sucks. This winter is kicking my ass.
>>
have you ever found drugs in your packages?
>>
>>583556731
>>583560242
Do you two have to walk your route or get to stay in the truck and just do mailboxes?
>>
>>583558845
My wallet loved this time of year when I worked at UPS. I would go in at 11 pm and wouldn't get home until 4-5 pm. I loaded and helped the drivers out.
>>
>>583560242
I got put in a wealthy part of my area, so I get some 60+ packages with 4 trays or more of dps.
Thats for almost every route in my currnet building too. Being a CCA sucks
>>
>>583558875
Im averaging that now due to peak season. After christmas itll go back to about 55. And my load depends on the route. I do both ground AND home delivery. My ground loads are anywhere between 500-700 pieces. But he delivery i get about 100 peices for 80-90 stops. But those are all country stops, lots of driving (fucking iowa).
And as for the HOS laws, your max for On-duty DRIVING is 70 hours per week. Normal line two on-duty time has no max. I know this because im also a Class A commercial licence holder. That time includes loading your truck, sorting, fueling, post trip, etc. Adds up fast.
>>
>>583554962
/thread
>>
>>583560381
Nope.
>>583560427
I'm sure they really appreciated it. I was just about over on my HOS last week. Think I ended it at about 59.5 hours.
>>
>>583559740
where at in jax... i stay on southside near baymeadows..
>>
>>583560424
I walk. Just about 13 miles a day. Not too bad but they have me working Sundays now so I don't get a day off.

i work for the hammond hub in Indiana. we easily sort 35,000 pks a day during this time of year but i HATE these new wrist scanners. fucking running windows 95 or some shit.

>Ask a seasonal driver helper who is about to get fired in 3 weeks anything.
>>
>>583560506
I am also a Class A holder. It's 70 hours for an 8 day week. 60 hours for a 7 day week. And the 60 hours is On-duty time period. Not just driving. You can work past the 60 hours, but you can't drive past 60 hours.
>>
>>583560242
I was about to apply to a carrier but it said I didn't get benefits or anything. After going through that long ass online test they asked me to come in during the week to take ANOTHER test.

Just said fuck it and didn't do it.
>>
>>583560685
I wish I still had a walking route.

I'm stationed around pittsburgh. Where's yours?
>>
>>583560498
Yeah I'm a CCA too. My main office is in a middle class area so I get 2-3 trays of DPS usually. The other office I'm at frequently is rich as fuck. Last Monday I had 8 fucking trays of DPS and around 60 parcels.
>>
>>583560645

I load the trucks that go in JAX. I'm not a driver. The trucks I load are around Atlantic blvd
>>

i used to be a twilight loader and small sort in SATX. worst and best job I've had. pay was good but Fucking my back fucked me up for life. i will always remember that dreadful place. i can't even drive by without cussing it. also UNITED POT SMOKERS. only place i ever worked where my sups and management were my drug dealers.
>>
>>583560876
Last Tuesday i was on the clock from 0830 to 2230.
>>583560938

>>
>>583561059
being a cca sucks ass, but once (if) you make regular, it gets easier.
>>
>>583561181
I don't steal packages.
I don't slam shit down and I always ring and/or knock.
I don't purposely deliver to wrong address, but some people need to get more visible house numbers. That shit is hard to see at night.
>>
>>583558392
Doubt it. UPS Preload(primary) supervisor here. last year didn't hit over 50k pieces a day until the last 2 weeks before christmas. This year we started getting over 50k pieces/day a week before thanksgiving.

>>583561848
*stabs in kidney*
>>
>>583561246
That was along time ago.
When i did do the seasonal thing at UPS, there was no doubt i worked hard.
Everyone kept telling me stories about all the people who freaked out and quit before me.
And i live in a big city, there are hundreds and hundreds of packages to get out.
Working there sucked, anyways.
They pay you the bare minimum and part time at that.
>>
>>583561059
Honestly, its not the worst. I get paid nicely for the work I do and its not hard.
>>
>>583560978
Hmm..it must be different for delivery then. Because when i did OTR, that was how i ran in my truck, 70 hours plus fall back hours, if you trip plan correctly. I could go 3 weeks without a reset if i wanted, and frequently did. And i used a Qualcomm. It wont let you go into violation without getting in deep shit.
>>
>>583561246
Would you get to pick where you get to know since they don't have driver helpers regularly?
>>
>>583561949
No time.
>>583562053
I don't consider $19/hr and 60 hours a week bare minimum and part time.
>>
>>583561882
Didn't receive any documents stating that fee until the last minute. And if I missed it then the fee wasn't made very clear at all. Heard a few complaints about that now.
>>
>>583560938
they're lying to you when they say you may be hired full-time
>>
>>583561181
tell us why u or drivers like you have the tendancy to steal pkgs ..........................

they dont , they get caught they get sacked , parcels can go missing due to other reasons and after a while they simply dont matter anymore

tell u why you just slam shit on peoples porches without so much as a knock

because were running a clock here and we dont have the liberty to wait around while cunts like you have a shower , wall paper a room before answering the door , policy says sig or leave safe , if its safe were getting the fuck out of there so we can complete the route in a timely manner

tell us why you can ignorantly deleiver to the wrg address ....aka a few streets over....just to get your route through so you can go home

sleep deprivation and work load means you fuck up from time to time , its human nature , its not intentional , however be a cunt on a day to day basis we will extract revenge some way some how

my company deals with UPS everyday....and you seriously suk and for the most part are simply crooked

deluded
>>
>>583561923
Cleveland area as in an like an hour from Cleveland lol. No, mostly nice middle-class neighborhoods. Some rich as fuck curbline. I did have a ghetto ass route a few weeks back though. Only had one tray of DPS. Shit was cash

You follow every driver around and confirm they don't knock? Or maybe people just aren't listening when we show up and don't hear it. And if you are so pissed, how about you not be so cheap and pay the extra $3 or so dollars for signature required.

NOT OP... but I work as a loader. OK pay, work out every day, pays for school and have benefits.

10/10 would recommend.

they are forced to fund retirement now for employees who have not actually been born yet. No one does this.
It's another social security scam. Fuck up USPS so badly that it fails, then we "appropriate" all of USPS retirement funds into our pork barrel and piss it away, like we do.
