ITT: We post the game we grew up with.
First console I had was a PS2, I was 7 years old, and my first game was Shrek 2. Memories, man.
My first handheld was a Gameboy Advanced SP with Super Mario Bros.: Super Star Saga.
Takes me back, OP.
>This was never published.
I remember my brother playing this shit. Once I hid myself in the corner covering my eyes.
Yes. I was a pussy as a kid.
It literaly go me over my fear of roller coasters. yes,I was a little pussy when I was young.
Day of the Tentacle
The incredible machine
prince of persia
duke nukem 3d (build.exe, fuck yes!)
whole lucasarts series ROCKED.
i wasnt live when this came out but i had the arcade classics for playstation and this was on it...tempis i think it was called. shit was cool as fuck to me
Started playing back in 2004 in the 4th grade. They still had RS classic I believe I started playing right after Christmas event so I just barely missed my chance of phat.
tfw parents never allowed video games as a child despite the fact that I loved them, so I bought my first computer game at 13
dude i had the same games for my first games because my sister was born in 89(i was born in 93) and we had the s Nintendo. but then i got a pc a play station and n64 (at one point my parents were richfags) lol i have the same favorite games
we had a great gaming life bro, although to be fair the 'current favourite games' is outdated as i made this a couple years back, right now it'd be battlefield 4 and whatever rpg im playing through (currently DA: origins)
Hunter Hunted was a good game. used to play it with my little brother.
this was my first favorite game
im still regretting that whole growing up thing... bu ti want to try da: inquisition i never can trust those reviews i only like actual peoples opinions on movies games etc... is it any good
Zelda - Ocarina of time
i havent played inquisition yet, when i heard witcher 3 was coming out i decided to play through witcher 1 and 2 for the first time, they were both amazing, so when i heard inquisition was coming out i thought id play through da:origins and da:2, still making my way through origins, its a pretty good game so far, decent story and enjoyable gameplay, would recommend it
though if you havent played the witcher series yet id recommend that more
nigga that ain't populous you fucking youngfag
pic related is populous.
Wasn't my first game, but this was probably the game that had the largest impact on my childhood.
i remember playing this on my dad's work computer back in the day when computers had a turbo button
also gta1-2/thps2/nfs unleashed/fallout 1-2/sega/snes
played the GTA 1 2 minute demo where you couldnt jump over the bidge over and over agai
ninja game for c64
sensible soccer for amiga
some robin hood game i cannot recall the name
lots of zelda snes
indiana jones using a printed walkthrough, same for the DotT (games were in English and not my mother tongue)
I also remember an arcade game for 2 players with froglike/dinosaur characters, I never found a picture/video of again afterwards
The Astroids/space game on a table pc where you shot meteroids that turned into smaller ones
afair that was my first game apart from saper and memo ;-)
Even before Dyna Blaster, Prehistoric 2, Aladdin etc.
Tell me someone loves this as much as I do
mfw if you listened to the betty boo sample intro theme long enough it just descended into scratch
>fucking great game though
Yes, that is why that one was mirrored, the tape method works like a charm as long as you poke a hole in EVERY SINGLE FUCKING BEAD. That thing took about seven straight hours including the ironing.
>played it for days
there's your problem. it took months of near obsessive playing to master. that fucking puzzle was a killer for 8 year old me, even with the "spend time to orient the pieces" helper
ST mustard race bitch
>not really though. the amiga was getting good titles long after the st market died
that was the "game you grew up with"? the purpose of the thread isn't to post the oldest game we could have conceivably played i think, but rather the one that made us a game player
The frustration I feel now when I'm reminded of this game is the same as I felt then when I could NEVER FUCKING MOVE PAST THE FIRST FUCKING STAGE
FUCK YES.THIS IS THE GAME I GREW UP WITH.
Good luck RIpley..
Goddamn it, I still remember rushing through the first level, and from nowhere a fucking facehugger comes.. This is serioulsy top 10 FPSes ever.
Fuck, can some one get me a copy of starcraft 2?
OH DAMN BATTLE ARENA TOSHINDEN! I had that!
i'm going to go ahead and advise you to eat a dick.
>establish lost books
aint that some shit
Feeling so hard right now
>Heard about this game when I was a kid.
>"It's so violent man. That's why it's banned."
>Look up videos of it on the internet.
>MFW people thought this was worthy of a ban.
bitch, my dad had a NEC with a 14mhz intel with DOS and windows 3.0. I was playing Gunship 2000 and Commander Keen while you were still swimming in your dad's nutsack
never really cared much for the sequels. i was all about the first one though.
Stop trolling you retard. Tekken isnt Battle Arena Toshinden, and Alien Trilogy is fucking miles better than Turok. Have you even played Alien Trilogy?
YEAH! YOU READY TO GO?! YEAH!
Also this game was and is hard as shit for me to play.
I loved this game.
I say "loved"...what I mean is I still love this game. And, by extension, absolutely ADORE it.
I was 9 when I got it.
Gone through so many of these threads and I never found the games that are in my head of which I can't remember the names and are retarded hard to describe.
that shit cannot be serious. is somali a joke language or something?
i know was joking faggot. nina reminded me of nina from battle arena toshinden for some reason. probably because they seem like the same bitch.
also, no i haven't played the alien trilogy, so by default, fuck that game it sucks and turok is better.
this, l was nine when it came out.
this game captivated me. id watch me bros play it for hours always waiting to see it finished. dont think i saw it finished once :(
Bow down to this fucking game. It either spawned greatness, or made every other contemporary story game look like filth.
Does it matter? It's what I played when I was a kid, faggot. Tank, outlaw etc etc.
Then when I was 5ish I got Nintendo with mario/duck hunt. Mario 2. Whatever else.
I guess what really got me hooked was super ghouls n ghosts and shit on snes.
But the first few years of my life was atari 2600.
hey thats ok but fuck you you virgin piece of shit nigger faggot. Nina in Battle Arena Toshinden? Fuck you and your shitface her name was Sophia.
What? My dad is 60, and yeah, he got an 14mhz NEC desktop in like 1981. I grew up playing that until he upgraded to the first 60mhz Pentium in the early 90s
hahah holy shit, it was wasn't it? damn.. my mistake. you gotta forgive a nigga. it's been years. for some my mind molded those two characters together.
this shit too. it took 3 whole floppys if i remember correctly
dwarf so op
it is pretty hard to find because of games and a band with similar names
This and pic related were installed on the computers at my junior high. Had a blast playing them on our free time.
Anyone who hasn't played this oughts to do so immediently! Best dark humor in a well built shooter game I have ever seen.
Also: NAZI TEDDIES GETTING THEIR HEADS BLOWN OFF WHILE THEIR BRAINS SLOWLY BOUNCE OFF THE CAMERA
Not gonna bother with a pic but..
Pokemon (before it became drug dealer-y)
vigilante 8, 2nd offense,
Conker's bad fur day.
baldur's gate 2 (ps2), dark alliance.
Digimon world (all of them).
Double dragon + battletoads (telling my brother to go fist himself, with a big fist...priceless)
you remember which clan or whatever you used to pick? i just remember hating the lotus clan or whatever. those futuristicy diseased monstrosities. they were like a mixture between science and like black magic or some shit. always loved whooping their asses.
omfg. Had it for original xbox. best game ive ever played in my life next to Mario.
Greatest single player/humor
>Dat daisy girl with the huge tits you could bounce on.
