Currently drinking Elysian Space Dust IPA. The hop bill sounded good, it's not that great, but not bad.

Too much beer hipsterism these days, but I'll go ahead and ask so I can get flamed.

Any suggested beers for a Guinness lover? American beers taste like piss 9 times out of 10 so I have a pretty hard time picking out a beer that isn't my tried and true. Might have to go to World of Beer one of these days and do some testing.

I was lucky to get 2 bottles of KBS last year, and it wasn't anything special, BCBS is way better and there are tons of year-round stouts that are equal

Loose cannon IPA. Tastes kinda dry hopped with tons of floral notes. Barely an IPA in terms of bitterness but certainly the best thing out of Heavy Seas

If you're in the PA area, Springhouse makes amazing stouts. They have a PB&J stout that's slamming. The Thin Mint Stout is rad too.

I've tried basically everything I can get my hands on. Being an Amerifag, it's mostly IPA's and other bullshit. I might have to get a real stout one day and see how I like it. IPA's just don't do it for me.

I never cared for IPAs myself, they just seem bitter for the sake of bitter and hoppy for the sake of hoppy. Just out of curiosity, would you recommend anything? I wouldn't mind finding an IPA I liked.

Heavy seas is a drinkable IPA.

It considers itself an IPA based upon the excessive hopping but it is considerably more toned down than the crazy stuff out on the west coast.

I've been drinking stouts and porters almost exclusively for the past few months because I've gotten so tired of the Hop Arms Race IPA's have started. I don't give a fuck about who can make the best hop syrup. Give me some subtle flavor! Give me some nuance!

IPAs are an acquired taste, some people love them some hate them. If you hate the bitterness, check out some east-coast style ones; they use more fruity hops instead of going for the whole "licking a pine tree" thing the west-coast ones do.

But anyway, I'd suggest just finding a store that does a mix-a-six pack thing and checking out a bunch of different styles until you find something you like

Best I usually do is Yuengling Black & Tan, maybe their other varieties, or the very rare Sam Adams. I'll give it a try though, thanks for the suggestion.
