Man the little girl in that movie was sort of a dumb bitch. I guess the main character should have checked his privileges at the kindergarten door.

i'm not cinephil (if that's how ppl says in english)
appreciated this movie because of watching Captain Philip one month before it, and Kapringen blows ass compared to tom hanks shit

The first Movie by Christopher Nolan. Filmed on a budget of $6,000

>>575199573
Very good movie.
"Triad Election" and "Election 2" are great movies that I bet most people don't know of since they were produced in China.
"Tyrannosaur" is a movie that will leave you sad for days.
Anything by Guy Richie is pretty damn good.
"13 Assassins" is very engrossing, great villian
"A Prophet" is a very trippy movie but pretty unforgettable
That is all I can think of off the top of my head
>>575200705
"Gomorrah" is a really intense film about the Mafia, none of the glamour and all of the realism while still being entertaining
"Misery" was great but most people know of it, "The Machinist" too
"King of Devils Island" was something great
"Hunger" has a really amazing opening scene, you won't forget it

>King of Devils Island
Don't know this, one might be interesting, thx
>>575201616
If you like documentaries, "The Act of Killing" is probably the best idea and execution of a documentary you will see in you lifetime. Getting Indonesian who engaged in state sponsored murders to reenact their crimes in movie form, only to cause that reenactment to reflect on their deeds IRL is pure genius. Was really some documentary.
"The lives of Others" is a movie that I haven't seen yet but looks to be really great
>>575202051

Yeah, was the reason for me to share large list of movies I enjoyed for one or another reason spanning from 1927 to now
>>575201912
In terms of horror movies, I would reccomend a 2007 movie called the signal. It's divided into three parts with three different directors, and each take is a little different.

Is a much more interesting idea than it is an interesting film. By that I mean so much of what is interesting about the plot is not communicated very well by the film itself.

(1) Trainspotting
(2) Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (already mentioned in thread but was really great)
(3)The Fantastic Mr. Fox is worth watching, despite being a cartoon with A list celebs playing the parts
(4) The Last King of Scotland has superb acting. And since i have mentioned Forest Whitaker, I should mention his films "Panic Room" and "Ghost Dog". Great in both

If you liked the movie, be sure to check out the old (1979) miniseries with Alec Guinness, I liked that a lot more than the movie. In case you liked it also check out the "sequel" Smiley's People (1982).
