NEW AIRCRAFT THREAD...OLD ONE REACHED IMAGE LIMIT
Good effort anon's but you can stop now
he looks like a nigger
this dude got to fly the best
that fucking nose
You guys are fucking plebians...
the red arrows are my fav
Lol'd. The A-10 is the one getting fucked now, though.
going back old school
>Dat lowest maintenence cost
>Dat ability to refuel, reload, perform basic maintenence and be ready to resume mission in 10 minutes from landing,
i sure do, cause that's all i'm posting.
IN that pic you quotes those jap G4Ms are flying low to avoid flak from allied ships
Ah, my second love as far as planes go.
yeah it's super sad. It works so well, and it's so awesome, why do they want to scrap it? I'll never know
did someone say new?
home made Chinese ufo
he is banned from flying it
my dump is about over now
forgot the pic
Here's the result when i drew this pic,
okay bye now
youre either a lying fag or a brony fag........which one is it
Boeing 767-222 slicing through the air!
oh shit, well you know now. lol.
I was a brony fag. but no longer
>FLIR RC Helicopter
why thank you. man though, i forgot about reverse image searching. you fucking freaked the shit out of me for a second.
i love these threads, dumping was my way of giving back
Ill tell you why, cuz its literally a gun built around a plane. If you shoot the gun for too long it will actually make the plane stall. Dont get ne wrong when i jack off i think of the a-10 but there is just better ones out there
I really hope they just remake them.
Saab's J29 "Tunnan" (The barrel)
Was fully operational in sweden during the 50's and 60's
This fucking beast actually slows down the aircraft (admittedly on by a few MPH most of the time) when firing. On top of that, the fact that the round travels so fast means anyone getting fired at and most people immediately around them will be dead before they even realize what happened.
I bet you don't even now how threeforce it, faggot.
Somebody who isn't a fucking faggot.
Last one before I go back to posting pictures of the actual A-10.
This is the 30mm round fired by the GAU-8. Assuming the pilot didn't fire in the recommended short bursts, and the drum had about 2900 more rounds in it, there would be 3900 of these coming at you in a minute.
Fuck the drone strikes, the rockets, and the threats. One of these being fired at ISIS is more than enough to scare the Christ out of any of them.
Hands down the sexiest gunship.
X 37 finished testing this week in CaliWill go to next phase of training. Powered flight.
If only we'd pulled our finger out and produced more of these babies.
On the flipside, one of the ugliest. The only thing worse is the South African SuperHind. Bug looking motherfucker, that one.
>scare the Christ out of any of them
He isn't in them.
It's the problem exactly.
If anything we should sanctify the bullets and put Christ into them.
>implying an RAF tornado couldn't tear it apart
It's a very varsatile deathtrap.
A capable design suffering from mediocre doctrine.
>lets overload it with soldiers and artillery shells kekekekeke
For the motherland.
The gun is only as powerfull as 1 engine, it has two.
The gun also cannot fire for a long time - unlike the engines.
You could conceivably crash because of the recoil if you're a fucktard.
Ah. Seeing as they only have ammo for a total of 10 seconds of oure firing. I doubt anyone could crash die to the gun... ever.
They need to make a buff modern version.
That's a myth dude.
Also British twin engines are sexy.
The gun isn't even as powerful as one engine, the recoil of a quarter pound shell isn't going to do a lot to a 40,000 pound aircraft.
Read this http://www.stripes.com/blogs/the-rumor-doctor/the-rumor-doctor-1.104348/does-the-a-10-s-gun-slow-the-plane-when-fired-1.152557
Only if you're a fucktard. Now if the gun wasn't offset, it could potentially change the pitch or yaw, causing you to crash or veer off course. The A-10 being built around the GAU-8 gives it the advantage of having it be mostly idiot proof as far as pilots are concerned.
Also, A-10 gore.
I love the F-15E, and I love working on them
>denying that this is sexy
hello you retard,
the thread is new, the aircraft are not necessarily
>reading comprehension skills
A true cold war classic, still in use. Respect.
Have you been underneath her on the approach as she's come in to land? Beautiful.
god i love that sound. reminds me of the big diesel generators they used to use at the county fairs to power the rides, how they'd rev up when the rides started.
It's right there on the tail.. T-6 by Beechcraft. AT-6B is the designation. I got to fly the unarmed version of this, but seriously 11/10 would fly this model.
Just popping in to post the goose.
Here's an interesting example. Will be familiar to anyone who has played MGS3.
The Bartini-Beriev VVA-14. This thing was primarily designed to destroy US Polaris missile subs. As if the awkward design that would be fitting for being called VV-kun and put in some godawful R34, this thing is also a VTOL as well as amphibious.
I seriously could not imagine what was going through the point guys' head. I would have shit myself in the most literal sense. Thanks for the post, though, I've always wanted to see an A-10 run really close from the ground.
Oh, and more VVA-14. Quite the ugly bastard.
I don´t care what you say. This will always be it.
There is some debate on if this one is fake or not. It does seem suspicious.
One of my all time non-A-10 or VVA-14 related aviation related images.
The SR-71 is to a spacecraft as getting the tip in is to full penetration. 73000 feet over the Atlantic.
Personal favorite. Made with titanium smuggled from the Soviet union
Forgive the redundancy of that first sentence.
I love me some space pictures
Bartini A-57, would have been sweet if the Russians actually made it.
Fun fact. Titanium isn't rare at all. It is the purification into a pure metal and the working and forming it into the final product that is so difficult and what makes it exotic.
Titanium is actually the 9th most common element in the Earth's crust. The white pigment in most white paints is Titanium dioxide. Cheap apartments are painted in titanium...
The drone that sr71 carried has very little information on it. Look up d21
Bartini sure did love unconventional water-based aircraft.
Not an A-57. It never entered production, and it was tested in a wind tunnel. If you have the video, though, I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong.
The frogfoot is also similar to the a10, but the Russians aren't retiring it, kinda don't know why the Americans are retiring the a10, kinda sucks.
I don't think it was very effective. I have read everything I can find on it and it seems like a few of the missions ended in failure plus it was dangerous to launch. At least 1 SR-71 crashed because of it.
I think it became obsolete compared to spy satellites. I think they were 1 time use each so not cost effective.
The frogfoot is a direct copy of the YA-9, the plane that the A-10 competed against for the contract. The YA-9 lost the contract war.
Russia stole most of their designs from the west.
Try harder pleb. AIRWOLF
Props to the Long-EZ posters
Crazy fact about that SR-71 crash. The guy who died survived the Mach 3 breakup and ejection. He died because once they landed in the water his flight suit filled with water and he drowned before he could get out of it...
Wouldn't that be some shit to survive a Mach 3 crash only to drown...
?. what is up wirh chemtrails. you seem like you might know.
