I moved from suburban San Diego to northern, rural, backwoods Mississippi exactly for this reason tbh. Sold my 1100 sq foot 3 bed 2bath on 1/2 an acre for $372,000 and bought a 5 bed 4 bath 2400 sq ft on 60 acres with a 2 acre pond full of bass and bluegill for $240,000... You have to drive for almost a mile through thick forest on my own property just to get to my fucking house.
