Hello /b/, I am from the year 2216. Denizens of 4Chan in 2015 asked me to go back a year and deliver a message to you.

"Dont troll groovebuns."

Whilst I'm here, ask me whatever you want.

What does the iPhone 7 look like, and is it made out of. Stronger material than the shitty 6+?

Communism hasn't been a recognized political philosophy for many years. When the North Koreans surrendered to the South and reuinification took place, a lot of the Communist parties around the world were pretty much forced out of office by the people,

>>
>>573017126
Ebola was essentially cured in 2019 through the mass production of the antiviral drug DRACO. HIV and many other viral diseases were rendered basically harmless. As far as the outbreak in 2014 (which is what I take it you are referring to), the disease never reached pandemic status and steadily declined.

>>
>>573017172
I'm allowed to communicate like this because of little danger of screwing up the timeline. Lets face it, a lot of you think i'm just lying, which is why this is permitted. Added images taken from the future will only serve to prove my legitimacy... which is bad.
>>
>>573017710

>>
>>573017552
the current leader is.... Vladimir Putin. My records show he was severely undermined by his political opponents because of his policies in Europe. In 2080, Russia officially declared socialism and tried to conquer the eastern european bloc but was quickly defeated in the field. Russia has been a very well balanced democracy since then.
>>
You are truly a genius if you know that the future hasn't happened yet. Time is not a thing, it's a concept referring to moving entities.
>>
>>573017960
I'm pretty sure that Kim Jong Un was assassinated about a week or so ago in this timeline. The next one, according to historical conjecture, is the assassination of Pope Francis, due to his policies on homosexuality.
>>
>>573018334
I meant the President of the US.
>>

In fact, speaking to people like this has become quite common and acceptable. By becoming an anonymous figure and communicating with the past, we learn valuable insight from the people of the era. Let's face it, perception is hard to discern from biased media reports.
>>
>>573018504
The last President of the United States that was assassinated, according to my wikipedia, was John F Kennedy.
>>
>>573018676

So.. is time travel widely available? If so, how is it regulated?
>>
>>573018635
Theres an impressive technology that was created around this time called Solar Roadways. I'm not entirely sure at what level they are currently operating, but In my time they own essentially every rooftop on the planet. In...... 2020 they had to rebrand themselves because pathing every road with solar panels was considered unfeasible, so they moved to rooftops. They are a significant energy company in my time.
>>
>>573019130
time travel is usually permitted with research purposes in mind. For tourism it's usually acceptable if there are trained representatives to tell people what not to do. Time travel works through a centralised core access facility. Basically, the governments own everything. The security systems in place are pretty much flawless... i'm actually being monitored by my professor right now. He keeps telling me to not put specific things in like dates etc.
>>
>>573019419
Despite the obviousness of time travel being impossible, your predictions are very accurate and convincing.
>Kim Jong Un assassinated (obviously NK wouldn't announce it)
>some zealot murdering Pope Francis
>2014 Ebola outbreak being overhyped, dying die before reaching critical levels
>etc

well done OP

How many people in Southern US states have died from Heart attacks between the years 2014 and 2050?
>>
>>573020486
I had to look this one up as i'm unfamiliar with the term. Nearest I can tell from your internet it's an interactive entertainment device? In my time these are the only type of entertainment there is. Our brains have sense chips in them to protect us from damage to our eyesight/hearing etc. Our "video games" are wired directly into our brains as virtual reality.
>>
>>573020918
Still can't answer this one I'm afraid. The fermi paradox is one of the biggest mysteries to our scientists.
>>
have we colonized other planets yet?
>>
>>573021182

If Alcubierre transport exists.. does that mean that there is no God, at least in the typical Christian definition of one?
>>
>>573020960
My records don't give an exact amount, but roughly between the years of 2014 to 2027, 8% of all US citizens had heart attacks. From 2027 to 2040 it shows 11% and that drops significantly to 3% in 2040-2050. Best I can do I'm afraid, exact data is difficult to come by.

On that topic actually, a recent scientific inquiry has been looking at trying to regenerate this eras technology to "collect" data from this time period.
>>
Has Half life 3 been released yet?

>>573021313
There's a group of astronoughts heading towards Alpha Centuri right now to check for viability of habitation. It's a journey which will take them 2 years. Does that answer your question?
>>

>>
>>573021671

Ah good to hear. I'm currently overweight and practicing bad habits on purpose to see if I can induce a heart attack within my lifetime. If it happens Science wins. If not, God wins.

Still waiting.
>>
>>573021391
The presence of God, in my time is considered a scientific acceptance because of the lack of evidence against it. There are very few religious people in my time, but this has kind of stuck around (its not given much attention though).
>>
>>573021898
You're internet shows this as a reference to sexual orientation? In my time there is no defined expected preference either way. Sure reproduction is still limited to male-female, but our social systems don't prohibit any kind of relationship.
>>
>>573022004
thats not how science works...
>>
If time travel is allowed by a higher being god, aliens etc then there is no god or higher being. We are doomed. What will people believe in your time for faith? No religion. . I call fake
>>
>>573020625
Due to the time dilation formula, Alcubierre warp drive transport should only be able to move people into the future, not back in time. How did people in your time manage to get around this? What was wrong with 2014's theories?
>>
>>573017520
aaand we all know for a fact that OP is lying since all of these are govt manufactured
>>
>>573022237
Im not sure how things work in 2014, but in 2216 science isn't based on belief and accusation, it's based on evidence. If there is a theory and it cannot be disproved then it is clearly scientifically sound.
>>
>>573022272
Think of time like a circle. travelling faster than light lets us travel backwards through time. Continuing back and we reach our time period by simply going in a loop. There is no "moving forwards" through time.
>>
>>573022428

>implying that the cure couldn't also be govt manufactured
>>
>>573022650
What is the biggest problem of the future?
>>
>>573022650

.. that makes no sense. Theoretically, you could take one of us 2014 people back with you, meaning that we would be "moving forwards" through time... what would prevent you from doing the same in your time?
>>
How fast can we travel in your time? From one place to another? Or can we teleport?
>>
>>573022762
Like i said in a previous post, the Fermi paradox is quite upsetting. We've started exploring space and found nothing to prove that we are not alone in the void. It has turned us into a pretty lonely race.

Other than that, we're still recovering from deep sea plastic pollution and our marine life is slowly improving. One of our most pressing concerns is the renewal of the environment. Scientists looking for ways to scrub significant amounts of dangerous chemicals from the air.

Socially, I guess overpopulation. I've been looking at your homes and my first reaction is "wow they must be rich". Overcrowding has made living space in 2216 pretty hard to come by.
>>
>>573022882
Theres a block on incoming travel from anything before the date of departure. Think of it like a password of the day kind of thing. They won't let me land without the right "passcode" and this passcode is changed all of the time. Anything before the invention of time travel is permitted as long as we don't do anything stupid.
>>
Is Africa still a shithole?

Also, what happened to moot?
>>
>>573023465
Is the US more left wing or right wing?
>>
>>573023505
Africa is actually a bustling economic tax haven. Overcrowding has forced people to expand out into previously uninhabitable territory (similar to how your Las Vegas is set up).

Im not entirely sure I understand your second question.
>>
>>573023465

So your own personal timeline just stops while you are here and picks right back up when you return? Or do you miss whatever time (days, hours, minutes) you were gone for, and you actually return to your original departure time+expidition time?

Assuming you're truthful, another question. Is there truth in the idea that the proliferation of phones, tablets, the internet, and information is killing off humans' ability to interact with each other on a more personal basis.
>>
>>573023640
I had to look this one up on your internet. If I were to make a comparison I'd say politics in 2216 is more left wing pretty much everywhere. Humanity definitely cleaned up its act in the last century.
>>
>>573023465
Is there a Law of Nature now that is called The Law Centripetal Time Dilation?

>>
>>573023703
name a major event that happens anytime within the next 3 months
>>
>>573022448
But that theory also must have empirical evidence, of which there major world religions have none. Accepting something as FACT simply because there are no way's to "disprove it's existence" is fucking stupid, and frankly, you might be stupid too OP. just a thought
>>
>>573015708
How does it feel like to be a fgt?
>>
>>573023884
I leave and return at precisely the same date and time as when I left. I could be here for months and not miss a thing when I head back home.

I remember reading about this in one of my historicial sociology classes. Bringing Virtual Reality to the market was probably the thing that stood out in lectures. It wasn't until cybernetic implants were approved that things kind of turned around. Most things in 2216 are esentially augmented reality. I'm checking up facts on my timelines wikipedia using it.
>>
>>573023905
Time travel and time looping not so much a law of nature as it is the practical utilisation of infinite Reality repetition. The arrow of time still applies in every sense of the word... it just happens to continue and continue.
>>
>>573024356
False! That is against the laws of physics. You said you had a professior talking to you but you return at the exact same time as when you left then you have created a static event that will destroy your machine.

Human lifespan has peaked out at 140. Average life expectancy is like 120-ish.

There are a bunch of bacterial strains that have become resistant to antibacterial drugs in my time. Danger from Aureus is pretty common in physical industries I guess.

Its interesting that most of the questions here are representative of questions about political leaders and national futures.

Records show a Robbie Wells being elected in 2016.

Sports are actually pretty similar to this eras. I've actually been rooting for my soccer team (Nottingham Forest) in the past. Its very strange. Ive seen references to a "Cricket" and "Baseball" but we don;t have these in my time.
>>
>>573026276
I'm sat at a terminal in the time capsule.

I've already explained that renditions of myself ot the future are unacceptable by basically all time travelling academia. I'll ask my professor.
