The reason magnets kill computers in WORKING state is because the memory is already loaded onto the drive, so the files overlap and rewrite, eventually crashing. However your computer has NO files, so restoring it via magnets would work just fine. If you want serious help, you should probably listen to the guy that works on hard drives as a JOB, and not trust google, which has many times made sneaky agreements with Bill Gates to Cover things up.
