Well, I was lucky that someone I knew was starting up a company, so I helped out with a basic logo and other bits for the website. I charged about £100 for the whole lot (There was a good 30 hours of work involved). I had an idea for buying/selling tires.

I found out most tires are made by the same manufacturer who sells them by the truckload (they fill a semi up with tires and it ends up coming out to like $10/tire depending on the size). They stamp whatever name or logos on the tire that you want and send the shipment wherever you want. goodrich, pirelli, firestone, etc all use this company, and just get their logos stamped on the tire.

I was thinking of getting a shipment of tires (around $5000-$10000 depending on size, quality, etc) and selling them for like $50 brand new, or roughly half the price of new tires here. I could even get my own tire company started if I wanted to, all I'd need to do is send them a document with the name/logo.

OP here. Basically I made smart decisions career wise and busted my ass at every job I've had. I'm 10 years graduated from college this past spring. Technically summer since I had one class that was Maymester that went until end of July.

I was lucky in that I had a cousin who worked for AIG at the time, he set me up with a 2-year Junior-Senior summer internship outside of school, AND when I graduated I got a 8 month contract out of it.

Now ALSO factor in there was a YEAR that I was literally out of work too, and the 4-5 contract positions were no benefits etc. I'm a Type 2 Diabetic (not really overweight but it runs in the family :L) so it's not all peaches and cream.

At age 27/28 I realized I was not being smart with my money and I got hardcore into automatic saving and putting into my 401k at a full time job. I put 18% of every paycheck to that, and then paid down any other loans/bills.

You can make it rich at any income level though. You just have to be smart about it and show a little restraint.

I'm of the camp of finance where the biggest earnings you can make aren't giving up a daily latte, or counting every damn cent. Make your savings/investing as hands off and automatic as you can, and when you get raises, bonuses and new jobs with massive salary increases (compared to raises etc), don't increase your standard of living.

I'm 32 with nearly zero debt. 4k left on a college loan, and pretty much saved for engagement, wedding, honeymoon and halfway to a down payment on a place.

Depends on if the school is franchised or not, but the teachers are well taken care of. Mine was franchised. Take the ESL teacher training at the beginning of your contract, it'll help you be a better teacher. It took me a month to get the hang of teaching. It'll seem overwhelming but only at first, stick with it. You only work Saturday and Sunday and will have more than enough money since the school pays for your housing and utilities.

There was once they tried to make me ride a bike in the snow to hand out flyers. I told them fuck no and paid $1 for the taxi. That was the worst thing about it. Everything else was fine.
