Just watched enemy yesterday. and it was great. If you like fight club, you'd love it.

>facing the giants

Once Upon A Time In America - 229 minute version, or perhaps even longer cuts when they become available. An underrated masterpiece.
reverse image search showed them up as mike mitchell portraits. My connection sucks sorry would have been quicker. He hasn't done half the folk I would have chosen though so my inspiration is lost now.
American Version was good, but the Chinese version is just as good. I recommend watching both if you can.
Ya, I think it makes more sense to have it in the line up rather than the remake.
Which version? You should watch both versions. One now and the next a while later after you've kinda forgotten the movie.
This one's amazing.
What's most troubling about this witless mishmash of whiny, infantile philosophizing and bone-crunching violence is the increasing realization that it actually thinks it's saying something of significance.
a fistful of dollars, really? Leone stole that shot for shot from Yojimbo, which was the better of the two, yet does not appear on your list. Pleb.
THIS A MILLION BILLION GAZILLION TIMES THIS
This movie changed my life. Funny though: I dropped out of college to become an electrician, yet wound up back in college for engineering. Don't think I'd have been able to make it or be as happy as I am in engineering were it not for that epic experience in my life, though.
You guys, I honestly believe that this movie has to be in the top10 movies I ever watched. The movie is tense as shit, and at the end, you're just sitting there going, what? Holy shit, that was awesome.
>complains about whiny movie
Read a book, dude.
Palahniuk is more worth reading than your picky-choosey ass.
Also, movies don't have brains and therefore what are you talking about, nigger?
troll harder fat boy
yo chingu was a good fucking movie dawg
there's plenty of shit in there as well, mind you.
my girlfriend likes some shitty movies
Just came in this thread to say that Fight Club is one of the shittiest movies ever made and if you don't grow out of liking it by the time you're 17, you're a massive pleb.
chinks, gooks, zipperheads, charlies, ching-chongs, socketfaces, panheads, slopes, who cares amiright guys? they're all the same thing!
dude thinks he knows tarantino.
probably hasn't seen true romance.
very good point
saw that first when I was about 12 though.
Hurt locker, because it actually created good suspense for a war film.
he fucking deleted his post eh
im saying tho who doesn't love Armageddon man
come back dude post it again
we forgive you
I really liked this movie, but apparently a lot of people didn't.
Also Her. I saw it the other day and it was pretty good.
>go to job interview
>job is film distribution in foreign markets
>pain and gain has not been released in the country
>asked what movies I watched recently
>tell interviewer I watched pain and gain
>interviewer asks how I watched when it has been released yet
>tell them I pirated it
>interview was short.
This one is one of my all time favourites.
Here are a few good movies that I would suggest.
- Gattaca http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119177/
- Gladiator http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0172495/?ref_=nv_sr_1
- Buffalo Soliders http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0252299/?ref_=nv_sr_1
- Snatch http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0208092/?ref_=nv_sr_1
if you liked Snatch you'd probably enjoy this one
Neither stand out as special, really.
I forgot my pic.
A foreign movie for ya guys. Seriously, watch it. It's awesome.
I loved to rewatch Gladiator less than a month ago. I have a soft spot for that movie. Something about Russel Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, Ridley Scott and Hans Zimmer.
Snatch has always been a good movie in my opinion and has a ton of rewatch value and quotability.
No one mentioned this one. That's just mean.
The green mile
Thin Red Line
>>551919386 Ma nigga
LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring
Die Hard 3
The Bank Job
Wolf of Wall Street
Shaun of the Dead
Snatch (Jesus, how did nobody mention this yet?)
The Mexican(idgaf if it had bad ratings, it was a good movie)
Teas Chainsaw Massacre
8 mile(I liked it)
I could think of more, but I'm tired as hell.
ok but the rest was shit. I thought they'd flip the original quote that war was a drug into showing how hyped up on it you get and fight the wrong fight or do the wrong things. JR did just that when he tries to avenge the village boy he thinks was killed with ZERO FUCKING CONSEQUENCES. Fuck that movie and all the accolades it received. Like Crash - no cronenberg - all over again
Not sure if epic movie or epic lesson how to make a movie with 6 people, single room, no special effects and one hell of an idea.
Epic in both aspects, I guess.
- The Descent: recommended by a /b/ro and glad I watched it
- The Descent 2: see above
- Amadeus: oldie, but goodie. A fictionalized story of Mozart's last decade, but you walk away with an appreciation for true genius.
- Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia: see real hillbillies in their drug-addled glory.
- BumFights A cause for Concern
- Big Trouble in Little China: action comedy told from the viewpoint of the idiot sidekick
Can anyone recommend intense horror movie that doesn't suck?
Horror movies are made in dozens every month, go directly to DVD and seem to be the lowest end of filmmaking. So it's nearly impossible to find anything decent.
I want something intense but with *no* ketchup fountains or jumpscreams
I haven't seen good horror movie for a long time.
I did like Silence of Lambs and Ghost Ship
And first Saw wasn't too bad. After first, it all went to hell.
I don't like movies grossing me out or scaring with cheap screams, so no Friday the 13th-type of stuff
Frozen was pretty adorable.
>>551925996 Yeah, aside from Young and Beautiful, the music was atrocious.
My favorite film is the pic related.
El Laberento Del Fauono
Dead Poets Society
Love and Death
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
V for Vendetta
The Lovely Bones
god help me, what kind of giant faggot are you?
>a clockwork orange
probably my favorite movie of all time.
Ooh, also remembered that movie where man was buried alive ("Buried Alive 2005"), and all he had was a telephone. It kind of classifies as horror too. And contributes to this thread as must-see
The Gatsby loving kind.
Spiderman 3 is best spiderman.
Just thought i should be the first to say.
Jesus, that part when they uncovered the deformed face of the old woman hit b the car made me shout my lungs out.
>Suddenly, scary as fuck face
>UUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH OH SHIT
>Half-ingested popcorn covered in drool pouring out of my mouth at this stage.
>mfw I didn't realize the other 5 people in the room.
Horror tends to be a good genre for the low-budget, kinda shitty tier films. Money restrictions force them to be conservative with actually showing the budget-tastic antagonist/gore, so they actually do it with good cinematography. Once you go high budget they want to get their money's worth out of the monster&guts and overexpose it to the point it isn't scary/shocking anymore.
"Event Horizon" is a pretty good almost exception to the trend.
The Incredibles is easily my favorite Pixar movie.
Hyped for #2
since you like simon pegg so much go watch this one
thats why I said horrorish.
And i remember being pretty fucking terrified when that girl got raped by a tree so fuck you invalid point having motherfucker
That movie was fucking amazing. 10/10 call me a faggot but it brought a tear to my eye.
Vanilla sky is one of my favorite Drama movies.
why /b/ has such shit taste in movies?
some of my faves:
La Dolce Vita
The Shop Around the Corner
Bigger than Life
Cabin in the Woods.
No matter how long its been since I've seen that movie or how much I despise Tom Cruise's crazy ass I find myself wanting to scream for TECH SUPPORT every time my life gets out of control
Need moar movies like this...
Return of the Living Dead was my favorite.
Evil Dead. One if my favorites.
No one really knew, on that fateful day, that the thread would soon be hijacked by a pack of ravenous, mentally depraved, foaming mouth faggots who were convinced horror movies are not the most brainless film genre around.
I loved all of them. Yes, including the remake.
Out of the Furnace
The Frozen Ground
Dead Man Down
End of Watch
World War Z
Zodiac (its an almost 3 hour long movie/documentary without a real ending, I didnt know this at first but ended up liking the movie. Its about the road to solve the case instead of the outcome)
No Country For Old Man
Taken 1 & 2
just some movies i've watched recently, defenitely recommend Prisoners, No country for old man, Out of the furnace, Zodiac and Dead man down! hfhf
Zodiac wasn't bad but it's definitely not a movie you want to watch again for several years. Seriously discomforting watching that couple get stabbed. No matter how many times I watch it
> Blade Runner
> V for Vendetta
> One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
> The Thing (1982)
> Pulp Fiction
> Jackie Brown
> Donnie Darko
> Reservoir Dogs
> Apocalypse Now
> The Silence of The Lambs
> The Machinist
> Interview With The Vampire
> American History X
> American Psycho
> Shallow Grave
> Fight Club
> Shutter Island
Fight Club is in the same league as The Big Lebowski, and Pulp Fiction in the pretentious white dudebro nerd canon.
The writing equivalents are: Vonnegut, Bukowski, Kerouac, and Palaniuk.
Cool Hand Luke
Mother fucking this
definitely the best Chan movie ever made (not including Tuxedo, obviously)
Forgot to mention every Jim Jarmusch movie.
Night on Earth
Down by Law
Red State (surprised to learn it was a Kevin Smith movie) was pretty goddamn discomforting as well. I love to watch those westboro baptist motherfuckers bleed, though. And dat John Goodman.
I've seen it so many times I've forgotten what the confusion regards. Was there something specific that was unclear?
Rockwell's character (the original version) presumably never visited the moon, but his clones were mass produced and sent to man the Luna station for an unforeseeable length of time.
Excellent thread, Mark.
Tell me about your sex life.
Oh, hi Mark
>enjoying world war Z
>enjoying shit plot
>enjoying a complete shitting on the book
>enjoying a completely retarded ass ending
>enjoying CGI zombies
>who still looked awful most of the time
>enjoying the awful characters
>enjoying anything about that horrible movie
Holy fuck what a faggot
