I have some general category folders. I'm running into issues for example I'm looking at a set with a ginger porn star who is giving a footjob and getting ass gaped. If I go into the ass gape and anal folder how could I set it up so I could find this set in both ass gape/ anal folder and the footjob folder? My conclusion would be use keywords for the search feature.

I have a lot of favorites so my priorities are scattered. My most organized folders are ass/anal/PAWG and feet. My total colletion is over 30gb with a mix of videos and pics. mostly decent to high res pics.

have you thought about making folders?

My porn folder is setup so within the folder i have Ebony,ginger,gifs, or really anything you want.


Its much easier to just put them into the right folder rather then rename thousands of images.

10 or less subfolders within any folder down to at most 5 levels.

SORT is where i quickly save files to be sorted later. i also compare the SORT folder to the other folders to weed out duplicates

I do have them all in different folders. Some by category and some even by pornstar name. But when I put everything I have of a particular pornstar in her folder I put it in a pornstar folder. But when I go to say my anal folder and I want to see that pornstar I don't want to have to back out 2 folders and find that pornstar. You see what I mean?

Exactly. What folder do you put the asian with hige tits into? I was hoping to find a solution other that manually adding keywords ti each individual image. Or using shortcuts. Say you put big tited asians in the asian folder you could drop a shortcut to her pics in the big tit folder also. I would hate using shortcuts for this. Because if you relocate your files all these shortcuts have to be fixed.

put said files in the folder they most belong in then create a link to that file in the other folders it relates to

on my linux system i can move the main file and the symlinks will follow as long as they are all in the same directory. no idea how windows works though

I've also considered using an offline webpage with links but that would be too much work. also if you relocate any images the links go bad. I could get used to a 3rd party program like iTunes or mediamonkey for porn. But haven't looked into it.

the shortcuts go bad in windows when you move the files. Windows doesn't take into account the fact you might some day move files around

this is the problem with shortcuts on windows and symbolic links on linux, which is why hard links solve the problem

i dont know. i do know that ntfs does support similar things but i dont know what they're called off hand. you can google "junction points" and read the wiki article on hard/sym links

if you think youll be reorganizing the files often, and if i were you i would probably just create a primary hidden directory with maybe 5 subdirectories to contain all the files and then just use symlinks to sort your files. im almost certain you can move a symlink in windows and it wont orphan itself as long as its target stays in the same location

Mine has femdom pics, pics of my ex, pics of me for humiliation, and then a folder of teens in braces cause thats hot aswell.

They're transparent on windows too which is probably why you have to use the command line to create them as explorer.exe doesnt have functionality that low level: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTFS_junction_point

i have no idea. i literally havent touched windows (other than basic browsing on public terminals) in over 10 years

also, i forgot to mention. i move files with a script that updates the symlinks at the same time. its rare that i move a target that is linked somewhere though. either the targets are in a primary directory and i just move the links around or its a file that has no links to be orphaned

if you can move shortcuts from one folder to another without them going bad it could be an idea to just use pure shortcuts to organize the files and leave the actual files in one permanent location
