Pulled one from the bottom of my feet a few years ago. Looks similar to OP's pic. Hurt like a motherfucker getting ripped out, but it came out in one piece and left a bloody crater. The "root" of the wart was a white rubbery piece of connective tissue and the whole thing was ~1cm long.
Decided to keep it and left it on my desk. It dried up into a small brownish rockhard lump after a few days in the sun. Once I put it in a tray of water just to see what would happen and it actually rehydrated back into its original size and texture. Dried it out again and rehydrated inside a glass bottle with rubbing alcohol but lost it last year (no pics).

I've been in OPs place and even done the dry ice thing, the acid thing, the freezing thing. Blew a lot of $ on trying to get rid of that mother fucker.
Googled that shit. Soaked it in apple cider vinegar and it turned the mother fucker solid black and dead in 3 days. I kept the "treatment" up for a week just to make sure.Then pulled the scabby dead mother fucker out.
It had bothered me for like 2 years coming back and shit.
Also on a side note a friend of mine has had planters warts on his feet for like a decade. He's had them burned off several times by drs. They pop back up eventually.
The last time he was going to get em chopped I suggested apple cider vinegar.
He just filled up the botton of one of those foot soaking tubs with it. Sat the bottom of his feet in there until they got all puffy from absorbing the vinegar.
Same thing happened there. The fuckers scabbed up, died and were pulled out in the time frame of one week.
This is after spending literally thousands going to drs and having them cut out several times.
It's one of those things the DRs don't want you to know about cause it'll fuck with their profits.

It's a virus and it uses the blood supply so the tip has roots. Here's how to get rid of a wart..
1. Buy something sharp or have enough balls to scrape the tip of the wart (or manually pull it off with your finger nails). It doesn't hurt but it will bleed and fluid will ooze.
2. Wipe it clean and put something on it to protect your skin from what you are about to do. A folded paper towel works fine.
3. Spray it with liquid nitrogen.
4. Let it blister up and scrap it and put wart remover on the exposed and not oozing roots. Do this every day for about a month.
5. Scrap it one more time at the end of the month and repeat the liquid nitrogen treatment.
6. Done. The wart is gone.
What OP did will NOT get rid of the wart, just hurt a bit (not a ton as I have done thing before just fucking around) and be sort of gross for most people. They sell shitty liquid nitrogen at the pharmacy to remove warts. It will work if he doesn't use the protective cap and sprays it into something to get better contact with the wart.
