Is it an automatic archive or do you select which threads to archive and which to not archive?

Threads are archived instantly based on what users want to archive. Since threads can have a high number of images, it can take a good 10-15 seconds to archive a thread.

To maybe answer some questions that could be asked in the future, here are some things about the site:

A thread requires at least 10 replies to be archived. That's to keep standalone threads or threads with 1 reply from being archived.

The site takes the thread "as is". It won't seek further updates unless the user attempts to archive it again.

You can search through archived threads by looking at the board's section. I'll probably implement some sort of search feature later on.

I came to the decision to blacklist a small amount of boards from being archived because of the high possibility of really high quality (meaning really large) images being archived as well. The server can only hold so much.

While blacklisting boards, I blacklisted /mlp/. The reason that would be given to the user if they tried to archive something from there would say "beacuse this board doesn't deserve to be archived". I've since removed the blacklist from /mlp/


I'll probably put the site online 100% tomorrow. Hope it could be of use to you guys.

By that, I meant each board has a section that shows each archived thread's ID number and when it was archived. There's not definite way to find something you want. Only an index, basically.
