Why do Americans name their children what they are called themselves and add "junior" after?
Over here, it's common to add the parent's name as a middle name, like Mikael <Father's name> <Last name>", but naming children the same is seen as taboo here.
Imo, it's really selfish and arrogant. I don't think they do that in England, so I don't think it's traditionally British but American.
Explain! I feel bad for the children who are forever gonna be compared to their parent they are named after.
