alright /b/ im broken literally, it's 8.48 Am here and I'm already drinking whiskey, yes you guessed it it's a girl before you say get over it hear me out, i've been with this girl for like 8 years and i really believed i would spend my life with her, i invested money time , shit i can't get back, and now she left and she's already started seeing someone else, i just can't understand if you really love someone how could you get over him so easily and so rapidly?
I can't stop thinking about her i dream about her everywhere i go i see her, so i started drinking to numb the pain, should i try to get her back? or let her with her new fuckboy and get over it?

ITT: Traumatic events

>Be me , today
>driving down the road
>normal So Cal road, two lanes each side, suicide lane in the middle
>all of a sudden traffic stops, some people move left some people move right
>i move right, brake screeching stop
>look ahead
>in the suicide lane I see an SUV
>about 25 feet behind see a motorcycle laid down, scrap all over the place
>about 15 feet behind I see a person on the ground
>ohshitnigger.mov
>get out
>I'm a firefighter-paramedic, so i decide to help since I cant keep driving through the street
>two people standing around the body
>fat guy, mid 30's probably, pool of blood under him
>he's not moving
>pool of blood below him
>left leg has a laceration down to the bone
>right leg looks like a slice of New York Pizza
>muscle and fat spread out, no foot or bone in sight
>oh fuck oh fuck
>check for a pulse
>obviously none
>start CPR, have two bystanders remove helmet
>blood coming out with every pump
>they fiddle fuck around with it, trying to get the helmet off
>a 20something cutie comes by, asks if she can help stop the bleeding
>wtf bitch, he doesn't have a leg
>take one hand show her where to apply pressure with the towel she has
>blood shoots out of the abdomen
>some mexican starts yelling in tongues
>tells us to give him mouth to mouth, i'm like wtf bitch no
>fuck, just keep going
>keep doing CPR on the guy
>several minutes later, Fire shows up
>while still doing compressions I give them a report on the guy
>55mph, head on with an SUV, pulseless, agonal respirations, etc
>they put him on a monitor, tell me to keep doing CPR, even though we all know he is dead
>someone else takes over CPR, I start breathing for him with a BVM (mask with oxygen cylinder attached to it that you pump to force air in)
>eventually over the radio the hospital says to stop
>everyone kinda in shock except me
>we cover him up and stand around waiting for cops to take reports

In my 7 years of fire/ems, never seen something this brutal. Feels weird man.
