You can buy cough drops that only have DXM on amazon. I recommend those; most stuff you get at the pharmacy will have additives that will make you sick or kill you. The pic you posted has gaufenisin, which will make you puke.
For my first time, I tried 300mg. The highest I've done is 500mg, and that was unpleasant. If I were you, I would ease into it and start with 250mg. Dissociatives can be disturbing...DXM especially, because it makes your body feel weird. I recommend having music to listen to, and doing it at night.
