ITT: GOAT/underrated non-wrestlers
>the smark butthurt from last night is still strong
Fuck. Roman is really shaping up to be Cena 2.0
jesus you are fucking retarded.
he lets the show go on because he wants to make roman wait.
it also makes the audience anticipate.
it creates tension.
and it wouldnt leave the ring empty for an entire commercial break.
>Cena comes in at #30
>Cena vs. Reigns in front of 90,000 people
>Reigns executes an AA five times
>Cena executes a spear six times
>Reigns pins Cena clean
>Cena and Reigns hug it out with confetti falling
>Cena raises Reigns' arm in the ramp
>still not understanding the point.
Post-Summerslam and December are WWE's weak performances.
It's going to go even lower when the NFL playoffs begin next year. They will only rebound a couple of weeks before the Rumble going into Wrestlemania where they will also fend off against the NBA playoffs.
i dont know man, i guess its hard trying to explain emotions and such to an autist.
>we just happen to have 2 tables set up on the entrance ramp
>safe as fuck AA move thru it
>rather than a powerbomb like actual 1997 ECW would
>this is awesome chants
>every spot so far is PG as fuck or cheap as fuck compared to TLC
>needing to ask what to skip
you skip what you dont fucking want to watch faggot
how fucking dumb can you be
of course you skip the flippy shit segments cause its nothing important to the actual storyline
Skip the matches featuring guys you don't like. It's that simple. Literally everything besides Roman's storyline is meaningless, so only watch the rest if you are fans of the superstars.
>something intricate to the day to day business of WWE involves flippy shit
>maggle literally just yelled "THIS IS AWESOME" in the mic
>the match ends with orange beard doing a lame as fuck splash on th etable
>whyno takes the pin
>that cringe as fuck slow zoom as each emember opens their eyes after they lost
HOLY FUCK WHAT THE FUCK LITERALLY TNA
>talked all that shit, got their ass handed to them
>just a cheap pop pandering to the local crowd match
>dudlies have literally been buried since every match back
He's top five but I don't think Austin had THE most raw charisma, and I say this considering him the definitive GOAT.
The Rock, Dusty, maybe but I don't really think so Ric are ahead in terms of sheer charisma.
He had the most potent mix of charisma, crowd-working and character-work, though.
>It's a "New Day spends 10 minutes congratulating the Faces on a hard-fought battle, declaring their immense respect for them, outright apologizing for their unbecoming actions in interfering the night before and praising them for their part in the elevation of the Tag Division only for the Faces to attack them from behind when they celebrate their victory" segment
Why are the Usos and Lucha Dragons such cunts lads?
That would be potentially very cool and Dean could definitely make that match something special but the fact that they both have titles and will be dedicated to defending them and building storylines around them means they won't fight eachother.
Unless they go the unification route but they have shown no hint at pursuing that.
I can't see them doing Dean vs Roman for the title, neither are established enough.
The only new star I can see that's established himself as both good enough and potentially strong enough in kayfabe is Bray if they take him seriously.
I can't imagine them doing the "Shield members fighting" angle when the two members in question aren't big enough names themselves and by leaving out the guy who fractured them initially.
If the SHEBD Main Event against eachother it'll be a triple threat in 2017 at the earliest.
>Philly fucking SLAUGHTERED him and even made The Rock stutter backstage because he was so worked up
>they were giving Roman the "YES!" chants last night
Anyone who actually thinks Roman isn't over now is fucking delusional.
>didn't watch RAW
>read what happened
>no desire to watch it
Feels good. Think I'm actually done with this shitty product. They've finally put the belt on reigns and I can stop watching. Feels free.
>inb4 it was just wymyn and children
>He's o-over ironically
>P-piped in chants
the haters tears makes the big dog stronger
Sheamus confirmed to be the one that killed ratings not reigns.
B T F O
>4 million people tuned in to see the aftermath of the absolute madman
Literally a top draw.
>Ratings up by nearly a million
REIGNS HATERS BTFO
Part of me feels that the ratings went up moreso because Vince appeared and that there was an actually important match in the main event instead of main-eventer with upper mid-card tag like usual. Not that I mind reigns as a proper anti-hero instead of whatever the fuck he's been being lately.
>watching teh end of TLC again
>the entire top section is leaving in droves prior to the last 15 minutes that ensued
>all those pops
>all those idiots could clearly hear it while walking down the ramps backstage to leave
you paid hundreds of dollars and dont even stay till the end, LELE
Is there anyone more underrated in putting over talent?
>Put over Bryan
>Put over fucking Damien Sandow
>May put Neville over depending if WWE doesn't fuck it up
>tfw the company will be dead before Bryan, Cesaro, and Sef get a chance to save it
hes done as a WWE wrestler maybe one day he will have a goodbye match in ROH where they dont care about his health
he will be back in 6 months not sure where on the card
he will be back in about 4-6 months give or take, ready to get back his title.
>viewership actually increased in the third hour instead of the usual big drop
>I'M AFRAID I'VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS
We'll never hear this again ;_;
Alright so how did the ratings go up so drastically? Mondays numbers were pretty insane though I really don't get why they had Reigns lose on TLC only to win the next day
Is Reigns basically getting the SCSA storyline? I didn't catch it
Vince most likely. Anybody who hasnt been seen for years draws more numbers. People here are gonna argue it was ALL REIGNS
I dont hate Roman either.. it just makes alot more sense. Lets see if next raw can keep the same numbers
>Roman is now a ratings draw
>Roman is now O V E R in Philly, the crowd that slaughtered him
>and all it took was him being booked properly and Vince showing up
Who knew that intelligent writing and nice surprises were GOOD THINGS?
>Vince drew the numbers
>first hour was the peak
>Vince wasn't announced for the show before-hand
Logic would suggest that people tuned in for the aftermath of the RoRoRampage.
Obviously Vince helped keep viewers around for the third hour, but still. First hour was the peak and he wasn't a pre-Raw announcement.
To be fair Roman had a bretty gud match with Bray at HIAC. His promos are still god awful though and he has zero charisma. Definitely not champ material. I won't be tuning in if it is permanent.
And there you go.
Just glad that Vince finally manned up and strapped the rocket to Roman's ass. Don't think anyone was showing excitement for another road to Wrestlemania odyssey.
>KO not getting any props because of the whole Reigns thing
Cut a great promo at TLC and a fucking top-notch backstage one on Raw.
Also fucking killed Dean by powerbombing another man onto him.
He's definitely underrated. I have to admit I really liked that match last night. That part when Bubba caught the kendo stick after Harper had bounced it into the air was cool as shit. I wonder if it was planned.
The shit with the flowers and everything after the ironman match annoyed me. It was a fantastic match but I thought the point of this 'revolution' was to treat the girls the same as the boys. We don't have all this sappy stuff when the guys tear the house down.
That wasn't really kayfabe breaky, though.
It could have just been him saying "you're being a damn good wrestler" by using her name.
Kinda like when you say "You're [person's name]" to validate them.
"You're Sasha fucking Banks".
Of course I could be entirely wrong because I didn't actually watch the video as the thumbnail made me vomit in my mouth but you get my point.
Bit off. The video is her in character talking about how she's better than everyone else, before Renee pretty much says ''break character right now'' and then Sasha gets all teary and humble. Maybe not directly breaking kayfabe, but it was definitely out of character.
Yeah fuck that shit. I hope Haitch knocks it off in future. They won't be taken seriously if they cry after every victory. We get it, they did great, but they're also supposed to be professionals and play characters.
It's done the same way that most of the punches are, as in they don't connect. It's a combination of camera tricks and training. I have no doubt it connects some of the time at least. He really clocked Sheamus good on Sunday.
who /wanted reigns to be booked like a badass and now that he finally is that you are unironically cheering for him cause your original complaints of his booking were fixed and he didnt get over by being the shit he was all this last year which some faggots are trying to claim like he's still that guy an now over an act like hes the guy they were "defending" or "didnt understand why we dont think he deserved it" prior to/ here?
>In the very same arena Roman Reigns received a less-than-favorable response after winning the 2015 Royal Rumble Match
Literally many, many posts have been made in /wwe/ about how Reigns won't win the strap in x city because it's smark territory.
I think Brooklyn was one of the places. Did he challenge for the WWEWHC at Brooklyn this year?
>Stephanie McMahon bitches about how hard it is being a woman.
>Slaps Roman multiple times knowing he can't retaliate.
>That one butthurt mark on the bottom right trying to get no chants going and failing
>Has a new day shirt so he must be a leddit cesaro section fag
No legitimate fuel.
Honestly the hate only started because no one wanted Reigns to be the first guy to beat Brock after he broke the streak and that hate was justified at the time, but he didn't end up beating him so afterwards people just kept hating on him simply for being successful and not being perfect i.e the type of hate you'd expect from jaded teenage cunts.
>you wanna challenge for my title
>don't make me laugh, bbgurl
>speaking of bbgurls, happy birthday, Jojo
>[mild pop for Jojo]
>but Cena, bbgurl
>you'll never beat my title
>because all those titles you win in the past can't change the fact that you got a teeny tiny pair
>of fruity pebbles
>>>WELL THAT WAS A MIGHTY FINE SPEECH, JACK
>BUT I THINK I MIGHT BE MORE SAMOAN OUT OF THE TWO OF US
>BECAUSE THESE FRUITY PEBBLES
Fucking GOAT feud.
Underrated. While watching old ECW shows on the network the other night I rememberd how Joey can make any piece of shit garbage wrestling match sound like it's the match of the year with his incredible calls.
>There's the SANDMAN... with that STEEL CHAIR
>one... two and... NO!
>HOW THE HELL DID HE KICK OUT OF THAT ONE??
Also I mark out whenever I hear the phrase "The Sport of Professional Wrestling". It's a shame he's mostly remembered as the guy who says "OH MY GOD!!!" and "CATFIGHT!!!", when he was so fucking talented. Better than J. R. in some ways because he had the Herculean task of calling shows by himself as well as covering up for all the enormous shortcomings in the promotion.
I haven't watched WWE in forever that I think it was still called WWF. I remember Big Show getting taken out by Shane McMahon from the lights.
Anyway, I was looking to get back into it.
Do I just start watching from now? or do I need to go back and watch other stuff first?
He's busy C.ucking the roster
>tells other people to stop responding to me since he got btfo
>keeps responding himself
>Implying that was me
>Calling other people butthurt while using Ricky Gervais gifs
Wew, what did Roman ever do to you for you to be so mad he won a fake belt? I can't wrap my head around anyone even being mildly annoyed about last night's events. So you must be a special case.
>someone actually voted for TLC
>you share a board with these people
>I now release the Sandow Syndicate, go get em!
>WWE went to shit when Rollins was champion
>suddenly Rollins is out, put belt on Reigns, and viewership/quality increase
Now just need to figure out how to get Paige out of the divas everything and we're good to go
And they wanted to package this guy as a generic heel monster #14901
Holy fuck those were some dark times.
I honestly prefer Roman promos to that shit because at least they have a tendency to be humorous when they're bad. Rollins/Authority were the worst thing possible, just outright boring.
Balee, anon. Balee.
I wonder how much more weight she'll have gained when we next see her.
>yfw this pic becomes reality
That's exactly it. Holding back based Sasha t.b.h.
It was never Romans, Sheamus or Seths problem that the ratings were down. It was the shitty writing. They actually wrote a Raw with logic and basic storytelling. Had they a script of this quality months ago we wouldn't be talking about ratings right now.
So are the Usos/Luchas heel now? They rekt the New Day for no real reason after being praised by them. ND face turn was long overdue anyway, everybody loves them.
same desu. I'd do her if she was 300lbs
>ONLY success from NXT is Big E
come on now.
You'll see, ratings are going down again and despite what /wwe/ will say, it won't be Roman's fault. Someone busted their ass behind the scenes last night because they heard the boss was coming to town.
>RECORD LOWEST RATINGS
>Injures himself and 2 top stars
>pampered and protected to living hell to be the next Haitch with hour long beginning and ending promos
Sure and Paige isn't autistic awkward
it'd be fine if everybody was hot, but literally no viable heels around. Basically confirms a part timer or old star will win the RR instead of making new stars.
Cena will jump undeserving to 3 RR wins, Lesnar will make the current roster look like shit, or HHH will get his ego to 2 RR wins.
None of those should be necessary, just make new god damn stars, instead of strapping the rocket on only 1 guy.
>Tfw your favorite wrestler jobbed clean to a guy with a 2 inch penis.
By the way that was the first time Sting ever lost clean.
It's from the new head announcer on Smackdown, Mauro Ranallo.
>I get the sense they want to make it kind of a hybrid between Raw, the flagship show with all the storylines and great performances from our Superstars in the ring, and what's happening in NXT. That's really been a phenomenon, and I'm a huge proponent of that style of storytelling.
>I think if SmackDown can become a hybrid of the two, we'll have a winning formula regardless of who's on the microphone. But since it's going to be me, I love that it's playing to my strengths. I think they want to set us all up to succeed.
>It's going to be a new look and a new sound with the move to USA on Thursday, January 7.
>mfw jasethy went over Cena, sting, Orton, Kane and deanetty and got tons of tv time and still couldn't get over as a heel
>mfw Roman went over fucking sheamus and turned into most over guy instantly
RECORD (RECORD) LOW RATINGS STRETCH
>have Seth cash in at the main event of Wrestlemania, beat Orton, Roman, Dean, Sting, Kane, and Cena which he became the first person to be WWEWHC and U.S. champ at the same time, be featured on TV 40% of the time and still not over
>Roman wins the WWEWHC back from Sheamus ON FUCKING RAW and instantly get over while getting back all the viewers Seth and Sheamus lost
If Roman Reigns became champion because Jon Stewart came out and hit Sheamus with a chair, he wouldn't be half as over as Seth managed to be despite it all. They were out to sabatoge Seth at all costs.
>cant make the new general because the last 4 old ones still exist
Wake up mods
* Dolph Ziggler defeated Kevin Owens by DQ in the main event when Owens threw him over the announce table. Owens dominated most of the match and went for a pop-up powerbomb at one point but Ziggler countered with Sweet Chin Music. Owens kicked out and then they went to the floor and the DQ happened. Ziggler came back but Owens threw him into the steel steps. Owens went to powerbomb Ziggler into the steps but Dean Ambrose came out and they brawled. Owens escaped and walked away. Ziggler was being helped to the back by referees when Owens superkicked him. Ambrose chased Owens to the stage and they had a staredown. Ambrose checked on Ziggler but Ziggler superkicked Ambrose. Owens laughed at them both as SmackDown goes off the air with both Ambrose and Ziggler down.
